"Of course not! He's just resorted to stealing weapons to restore his pride, because he knows we're gonna kick his a**!" He said, barely containing his laughter utnil the end.

Kuro laughed along, 'wow, I really have great friends.' He smiled, really happy that they would help him later, and would continue to joke about it.

"And of course we're not going to let a few missing weapons stop us...He knows that." Amnity shrugged, then smiled. "Kuro...You hungry? Want me to get you a blood packet?" She was already heading to the door, not needing him to respond to know that he was probably hungry.
She opened a cooler, the one that she had moved herself when she worked there. Amnity tilted her head to the side, measuring the blood packet's fatness. Walking back into the room, she had gotten him the heaviest one. She didn't really say anything like she usually would, she only smiled and handed it to him.

"....Well said Mephlius." Amnity said sarcastically as she looked back over at Kuro. "I'd appreciate it if you cook us steak....Before Mephlius eats me or something...." That of course was a joke.... ninja (Edit) She quickly followed after Kuro, not waiting to see what Mephlius would do or say.

Lydia was, to say the least, an emotional wreck. Or sure, she looked completely composed and self-assured on the outside, but anyone who knew her could tell how frazzled and broken she was from her unkempt hair to her wrinkled clothes. It was especially obvious if one looked at how tightly the huntress held onto her almost 18 month old daughter, Aurora. The small child had a fuzz of dark hair growing on her head, which Lydia kept tidying up and smoothing down with a comforting hand. The small girl looked up at her mother with large, milk-white eyes, oddly intelligent for a child that wasn't even speaking yet. The baby placed a small, pudgy hand on her mother's cheek, as if to calm her.
Like anything short of her husband being okay could calm down Lydia. She just readjusted Aurora on her hip and continued into the infirmary. It had taken her a lot of courage to finally come here, and a lot of anger to sort out. The person who had done this, elder or no, deserved to pay. But Lydia doubted she could lay a hand on Neko, not because of the power the Tainted elder held at her command. No, Lydia did not think she could harm Neko because if Will turned out all right, she would be too relieved to hurt anyone. And if he was not all right...Lydia would be too broken to do anything.
No, Lydia would take care of Aurora regardless of what happened, even if she could do nothing else and was all alone. Her daughter would be the only tie she would have left to Will if he died...no, she could not think of that possibility. Was that love, when you could not even bear the thought of your loved one dying or leaving you? Aurora patted her mother's face again, bringing the huntress out of her thoughts and back to the real world.
"It will be all right, Aurora." Lydia whispered, kissing her daughter on the head. "Everything will be just fine, I promise." Now...where was Gail?

((NPCing Gail))
At that very moment, the middle aged medic stepped out of one of the operatin theaters, sighing as she stripped a pair of bloodied medical gloves from her hands and tossed them into a bio-hazard bin. The latest surgery on William Jackson, the heavily injured and recently deposed leader of the New York Hunters, had been long and exhausting. Despite all attempts, Will woul be blind in his left eye; even if they had saved the eye itself, the sensory organ wouldn't function more than five or ten percent. That was more than enough vision loss for him to be declared legally blind in that eye. Then there was all the damage and scarring done to his limbs and torso. And above all else, the fact that he was STILL in a coma. Though he was stable, there was precious little hope for any sort of recovery at this point.
Glancing up, Gail saw Lydia Jackson standing in the infirmary lobby area, holding her and Will's infant daughter. Gail still could remember delivering the child, and it seemed almost impossible that the baby girl was nearly two now. Walking over to the young mother, Gail offered a weak smile. "Hello Lydia. It's good that you've come here."
((I'm back ladies and gentlemen! Also don't expect Will to return for a while. On another note, for those who haven't heard I'm no longer a Hunter moderator as I retired frm my position. Please direct all your questions and concerns to the remaining mods, and support them as you have supported me. Thank you.))

"Please...Gail." Lydia said, looking desperate. It was rare that Lydia went without proper honorifics when addressing people. The only name she could force herself to shorten was Will's and even that took more than a bit of effort on her part. "Please, Gail. Please tell me what Will is going to be all right. Please..." The huntress' eyes were over bright; the woman was trying to hold back tears as best she could. Aurora clutched her mother, calm to Lydia's near hysteria. "Please, he...he needs to be all right."

Gail found herself sighing again. This was one of the moments she hated most about being a doctor and trauma surgeon. Deciding on whether or not to lie to a paitents family. Perhaps she should put the truth into the best possible light.... "If it were anyone else, I doubt they'd have even made it to the infirmary with injuries like that. If they had, I'd give them a sixty percent chance of dying on the table and another eighty-three percent chance of never waking up again. But, Will's special. His healing factor improves his chances to fifty-two percent chance of awakening. There's something else I need to show you..."
Reaching into her coat pocket, Gail retrieved a slim, digital audio recorder. "This was amongst Will's posessions. I've already reveiwed it, and I tink you should do the same."

A tear feel from Lydia's eye despite her best efforts. She angrily brushed it away and scrubbed at her face...whether it was to wipe away the rest of her tears or cry silently for a moment, no one could really say. When she finally brought her arm back down, her eyes were still over bright but they were also now red. She took the recorder and held it close to her chest, clutching it much like she was her daughter.
"Can I-" she started to say, stopping when Aurora tugged gently on her mother's hair. Lydia looked down into Aurora's calm face before looking back up at Gail. "Can we please see him?" Lydia readjusted Aurora on her hip. Already, the naive woman was used to caring for a one year old. Of course, it helped that Aurora was most likely one of the best behaved children in the world. She rarely cried or fussed and was often content to just sit and play with whatever was around. She rarely made a mess or caused trobled for her mother...but nonetheless, Lydia always found herself wishing that Will was around more often...but now he might not ever be around again.
"He has to be okay."

Gail nodded. "Of course. ICU number 1."
Before moving to resume her duties, Gail paused and clasped Lydia on the shoulder. "His chances really are good Lydia, and I truly believe that he'll make it. He has to, for all our sakes."
With that the older woman moved off, ready to attend to others who were injured in the eternal fight against the darkness.

"Thank you." Lydia said, bowing her head and heading off quickly before she cried in front of someone again. Scrubbing her eyes again, the huntress felt another tug on her hair. She looked at her daughter, her calm, amazing, beautiful, miracle of a daughter who just stared back with those milky white, blind-looking eyes. Lydia could not tell if Aurora was blind or not, but had decided a long time ago that it did not matter. Aurora could follow anyone easily, even if she could not see in the traditional sense.
Shaking her head to rid her mind of unnecessary thoughts and to keep her eyes from crying, Lydia bravely walked up to the room where Will was being held. Opening the door and walking in, the took Lydia a moment to gather up her courage enough to look at her husband. She had took look away after a brief moment because she could not stand seeing the man she loved in such a state. Seeing a chair, she pulled it over next to Will's bed and sat down, settling Aurora in her lap. One everything and everyone was comfortable, Lydia started the digital recorder.
