Adele was off and running as fast as she could. She didn't think to issue an order to keep him away; she just wanted to hide.

Rue kept following her.

Adele finally worked out that Rue was following her. "Stay away!" she ordered him mentally. "Stay away from me!"

Rue abruptly stopped. He watched her leave sadly.

Adele finally stopped at the end of a dark alley. She slumped against the wall and began sobbing. "Rue, I'm so sorry," she sobbed.

Rue remained still for a few minutes, then went searching for her.

Adele was still sobbing when Rue went looking for her.

Eventually he found her, "Adele..." Rue said, coming closer.

Adele looked up at him. She had a look in her eye that she was angry he'd disobeyed, but she didn't say anything.

Rue knelt down and hugged her.

"You disobeyed," Adele said miserably. "I thought I told you..." She broke off, sobbing again.

Rue just kept hugging her.

"I'm horrible, Rue," Adele said. "You deserve better than me... Go find yourself a new master, someone who won't try to kill you..."

Rue shook his head, "You're my master," He said.

Adele broke out sobbing again. "I could have killed you, Rue," she said. "I almost did... I'm so sorry."
