Name: Jet Kazama
Codename: Hades
Location: Hidden Wind
Weapons/Gear: combat clothing
Exp(words) 10783+1015=11798
CG:102,600/102,600
Voice: Johnny Young Bosch
She wore the traditional kunochi attire based from her appearance, along with most of the females Jet had encountered throughout his journey on this planet. She had a pack of kunai on her leg and all sorts of different weapons for combat in her violet fanny packs. Standing 5'9, Jet did not tower too much over her. Physique wise Kazama could tell that she kept herself in shape. He didn't really notice her until he saw her in his sights, as he was performing another axe kick; stopping in mid-air as she explained why she was here. It was really a nice offer, but the Jin wasn't hungry, nor thirsty; all he had wanted to do was visit the villages, train and somehow get this whole council thing down. Where was that secretary that Kyrie was talking about anyway?

On the other hand it did not hurt to put the techniques on hold and have maybe a one on one conversation with one of the residents of Hidden Wind. He placed his leg down before eyeing the snacks that she had brought by. The food he could snack on last, but if anything the drink would have to come first. He took the drink and gave her his thanks before taking a gulp, followed by a chug. Turns out it was better than he had thought, giving an "aahhh." as he was finished with a portion of the drink. "Thanks a lot. And yeah I...kinda have been out here for a while. I sort of lose track of time during training." To others it may have been agony for they saw it as time slowing down on them or standing still; even being non existent. But to Jet Kazama it felt like being outside for hours as a little boy, only going inside when the street lights came on. But he was much much older now and there were no street lights telling him to go home. And from his physiology, training for him was over when he said it was over.

The woman could also tell that he took his training very seriously, having very little body fat to begin with. As someone who spent time out here performing taijutsu techniques, he certainly had the body to show for it. In addition he had hang time as well, holding his kick in the air during her introduction, only to bring it down when she was finished. "At least he's in shape." she thought. Not saying that the other previous members were in shape, but it was debatable if they were exactly fit as Jet Kazama. She was happy to hear that he was willing to try out her snacks; even more happy when he had enjoyed some of her fruit drink. The woman had used real fruits and natural spices and mixes that only she and the person that taught her knew. "Yeah no problem. It's a strawberry banana drink; the recipe was handed down from my grandmother." Since she had got the recipe to mimic her grandmother's nearly everyone who had a taste fell in love with the drink. She had gotten everything from compliments, coin for drinks in bulk, and even suggestions on opening a business in Hidden Wind.

"Eh, it happens to all of us."
As they said, the early bird gets the worm, or the early bird sits at the table and eat first. In addition it was important to train a lot as a shinobi; hard work always had the edge when talent didn't work hard enough. "How is your wind training going?" she asked. Being a resident of Hidden Wind she knew all of the techniques here and remembered her days studying the element of wind. It came to her naturally like the Katon and Doton elements did with Jet.

"Strawberry Banana...it tastes too good to just have those two fruits in it." He took another sip from the beverage, which turned into more than just a sip. Thank goodness the girl had filled it up to the brim! And she didn't seemed too worried that he was out here for so long training wise. It was just that she figured he was probably hungry or thirsty. "It's going pretty well actually. I think at this point I may be able to learn every move I can learn here in the next day or so." His statement caused a look of surprise on the woman. Did she think she was being cocky?? Time to clear things up with that small window. "I mean, not saying they'll be easy, I'm just focused is all. By the way I don't think I caught your name. Mine is Jet Kazama, of Hidden Volcano."

"Guilty as charged." she said with a giggle. "It's a recipe that my grandmother taught me. Only her and I know the actual mixes. There have been some copycats out there that came close to duplicating my grandmother's recipe. But like they say, often imitated, never duplicated." And that's how it was going to be. She had too much care in her grandmother's recipe to sell it away for a quick buck. The only person that would be selling it would be her.

When the topic of her strawberry banana drink faded and training here at Hidden Wind arose, she was surprised at how...confident Jet was in learning all of the techniques here. Was that what he came here for? To learn the moves here? He tried to save face shortly afterward saying that the techniques of Hidden Wind were not to be toyed around and was just concerned on his training session. Lucky for Jet, she was a fast learner as well, otherwise any other shinobi around would have possibly saw some cockiness in Kazama; which didn't come out until battle most of the time. "I take it you're a fast learner then. Good to see I have something in common with the new member of the council."she said with a smile.

"Jet Kazama of Hidden Volcano...It's nice to meet you. My name is Sumiya Kailash."

"It's good to see I have something in common with a new member of the Hidden federation." The Jin returned. The way she said it, it implied that she could be a challenge to the Jin if the two of them were to have a sparring session. Any tricks that Jet Kazama had in his bag the Hidden Wind kunochi would learn and adapt; dishing out her own tricks in the process. "Sumiya Kailash, nice to meet you." Jet Kazama said, offering a hand for a handshake. "What Clan are you from?" Kazama was suprised to hear about the clan the clan she was from; what sort of foundation techniques she had being from this village. Kaz was also suprised about the last name of Sumiya being the same name as the clan. In addition, the skills that she told Kazama about. Sumiya was definitely a threat even though her looks told others the opposite.

The two of them conversed for another half hour or so before Sumiya excused herself from Jet Kazama. She knew that he wanted to train and from their conversation, had more techniques to learn from hidden wind. So she decided to leave him be; after all she just wanted to see the new member of the Hidden Federation Council, and she did. Like Kazama, she also had errands and personal matters to attend to. And besides, Jet told her that even when he would learn all of the techniques here he would stay for a bit longer before moving on towards the next spot. So Sumiya had plenty of time to still get to know him if she wished.

More hours had passed since talking to Sumiya and more sweat and hand signals were being put out, and suddenly the sun was about to wake up the entire village. It was the next day. "Whoa...." Just like playing video games all night and looking out the window to see the crack of dawn, Jet was shocked and surprised. His body had not asked for food, nor sleep. Jet could have kept going if he wished as a matter of fact. For a few moments he was silent, stuck at a predicament on what to do next. When all of a sudden his forehead was suddenly occupied with a index and middle finger. It was time to get out of here-fast.

The Asura Sense Jet possessed had gone off meaning one thing; someone he knew that he didn't want to reveal his presence to was nearby. But when he looked around he didn't sense anyone. But whatever it was, it was coming all around him. Jet summoned his Noura in his left hand, gripping the weapon tightly, getting into a defensive stance. Whoever was trying to get the jump on him would be at the least disappointed at their results. But it was something worse than someone trying to get the upper hand on him, or trying to lay him six feet deep. It came fast, turning everything in its path into what jet deeply hated. He may have been the few that had seen it firsthand. Simply seeing it took him back to Tokyo, where he had almost died if not for Kami.

Snow was like a beautiful death. No it was a beautiful death. It froze everything in a cold cold beautiful stare. Causing everything to stop and be petrified in glory. However the one beautiful thing about his snow.... it was his to shape form and manipulate. The only problem was there were just so many god damn living people blocking his snow.

As the snow started to blow in Jack started to take form. He yawned a bit as he looked and he heard the boy talking about snow. He formed near him and he tapped his cane on his shoulder.

"Jack's the name. Snow isn't it beautiful?"

Jack's eye brow went up and he looked at him.

"Oh you don't have to tell me. Your name is uhh Jet yes? Part of the Counsel.. here right? Yeah yeah. Well you looked all fired up. You beat a couple of baddies haven't you.. Hmm..."

Jack dug his foot in the snow. It was like he was just reading him inch by inch. He turned his head at him a bit. He then continued to walk around him in a curious nature.

"My my my... So tell me more about this... Sumiya Kailash.. she seems like a frosty little treat.."

He said with a wicked smile.

Adell Terumi, THE GREATEST NINJA IN THE WORLD, wanna-be...
User Image
Adell would step off the boat to hidden substance shivering lightly from the cold air. Strange how the whole federation was enveloped in the cold, snow raining down from above over much of it. It was chilling, and overall, not his favorite weather. None the less, he would deal with it. He walked calmly from the docks, his arms crossed partially to reserve warmth. His robes helped him some, combined with the outer cloak of a kage, but one could say he wasn't truly dressed for it. His feet crunched the snow, fallen here and there. Paths had already been formed from it as he stepped along the path, approaching the gates of the Hidden substance village. He didn't know much about the place, but he had a feeling it would be of interest. Who knows what wide variety of abilities he could learn in a place with such a name.

User ImageA puddle next to Adell's feet would bubble slightly and slowly the crown of a head would appear. "Welcome to the Village Hidden in Substance..." the congealed blue puddle would say vibrating along with the words, as the rest of a familiar face would appear. None other than Hedoro's tag along and a familiar face that hung around the water rich Mist Village, Mamichi. "You must be real bored to come out calling to a village this far in the sticks..." she'd say before burping slightly a small white bone falling out of her body remnants of some unlucky prey that found it's way into her stomach. A pair of arms would stretch themselves out of the puddle and drag the rest of the gel body along with it leaving the puddle behind and looking the same as ever. Mamichi would sufficiently start to change color her cyan flesh becoming Pale in color as Mamichi too the form of the Vodoi Rebenka. A remarkably convincing Humanoid shell body, complete with a dress and a parasol that refelcted the true color of her Gel. "That said just what are ya doin' out here? I'm sure the Mist would prefer that their leader not go running off." she said the doll doing a remarkable job of making her look human. However Adell was well aware of the true nature under the porcelain features she wore.

As he walked, Adell would notice a puddle on the ground, one which hadn't appeared to have been frozen, despite the cold around. And aside from this, the color of what he had first assumed to be water was little too blue fore it normally. Within moments though, the liquid would bubble unnaturally, placing Adell on guard for only a moment, as it spoke in a welcoming fashion. From the puddle would emerge a form her remembered. It was that woman from before, during the chunin exams. She took a moment to comment on and question his presence here, as the bones of a little something falling from her gelatinous form. She would emerge, upper body first. As she emerged her form would shift, as the color of her semi-solid body would change to that of normal human flesh. Some became hair, and the rest took the form of clothing and items upon her. She appeared for all means and purposes human, even if her hair was an unusual color. He remembered a similar form from her during their previous meeting. Adell relaxed now, smiling lightly as he looked her her. "It is nice to see a familiar face. I can see you've been more or less well off since our last meeting. If you must ask, I've come to this place seeking to learn and to grow stronger. The people of my village are strong and capable even without my presence, but they need me to be strong for them. I need the power to protect it and prove my worth as a kage." He told her as he would begin walking again, imagining that she would follow quite readily.

User ImageMamichi would walk behind him listening and snicker, "Man still as boring as ever..." She'd say having to walk a bit faster as she was shorter than Adell. She would look at him and wonder what he needed power for, surely there were better places to go seeking than this place in the middle of the Federation. Mamichi herself had no real attachment to the village her entire existence had been devoted to Mamichi, and in that small way perhaps she was able to relate to Adell. His unflinching loyalty to the Mist Village was admirable in a way but for someone who only valued themselves and one other person it seemed like a lot to take on, being a kage sure seemed troublesome. "Well then it sounds like you need a guide. Since Mistress Hedoro is out of town I suppose I have some time to spare until she get's back. I'll show you around and make sure you don't step in the wrong puddle." Adell would start to notice it more and more the heat was rising caused by the machinery that kept the place hot after all the slimes lived here and they lived off the waters and more importantly the chemicals that seemed to interlace that water. Mamichi would start to hum a tune to herself as she hopped alongside hard to believe this cute girl had been spilling the bones of the dead out of her body a few moments before.

Adell raised an eyebrow at her as she called him boring, seeing her speed up to catch up to and pass him. "Boring you say? Well, what exactly would you do for fun?" As he walked with her he would notice, that despite the snow that surrounded the village, the inside of the village past the gates was all but spot-less, without and inch of snow within. At that, the air that flowed out through the gates was quite warm. Adell was actually eager to enter. Once they entered passed the gates, Mamichi had offered to act as his guide. She mentioned someone named "Hedoro" as if she were there servant. "Well then, please lead the way, I wouldn't want to step on anyone and potentially lose a foot." He had some certainty that had he accidentally stepped on one of these slime people, they would hardly notice, let alone find it painful. From what he remembered of Mamichi herself, seperation of distortion of her form was a little real consequence. "So who is this Hedoro you mentioned, exactly?" It was true enough that they had fought before, but the memory of all those in the village at that point had been wiped, as the fight itself had seemed to never have happened. Though some of the effects previous to the fight had remained, such as the trees that had enveloped the village, or the fact that most of the villagers had remained in hidden whirlpool and were only just beginning to return. Despite all the chaos that had previously occured, the world seemed basically to be at a relative peace. One could only imagine, though, in this ninja world, that the next threat was on the horizon.

User ImageMamichi would listen as he spoke his voice was a little deeper than she remembered it and she logged the information away for a later day when she may need it. Though as he asked her who Hedoro was she perked her brow and looked him stopping in place. "Are you serious? You don't know who Hedoro Koutai is?" Mamichi's eyes look awestruck one might imagine that her world had just shifted it place into chaos. "And you call yourself a Kage..." Mamichi chided shaking her head in dismissal. "I guess I said I'd be your guide so listen up Boyo~. Mistress Hedoro is the Mother of all Maliae, near or far if it's a slime girl it can trace it back to Hedoro, in her early years she consumed the entirety of one of your Mist clans. Those pale faced water body guys... and then she lead an invasion on the entire ninja world and was narrowly foiled when they all teamed up to stop her, and beyond that she's been recognized by the entire ninja world for her abilities and been given the title of Shinin." Mamichi seemed to swell with pride as she gushed about her idol and looking at him she would grin again, "So keep her in mind, the Mistress of Maliae, the Queen of Catastrophe, the Maiden of Malice, the Demon of Disease, and the Bearer of the 3-tails. These are just some of her titles you know. It's said the the number one Priority in every ninja village is knowing where she is. She's just that dangerous." Mamichi's aura darkened somewhat as she spoke ominously it had the vibe of a ghost story being told by a campfire. "Oh and stay away from that puddle." she'd say breaking the tense air by pointing out what looked like a completely normal puddle, rater ironic considering every other puddle had a strange tint to it, Then again this wasn't a ninja village for nothing.

Adell Terumi, THE GREATEST NINJA IN THE WORLD, wanna-be...
User Image
It was true, it had been years since they fought. Adell had grown into a fine young man. However, while he had gained wisdom in his aging, one could still hardly call him a genius. He was still lacking in intellect and worldliness overall. This was part of why, while everyone feared Hedoro, it seemed, Adell himself had never really heard of her, nor had he ever experienced her. He knew nothing of the apparent terror she brought. He, however, could at least recognize the power of being claimed a Shinin. And if everything she said was true, that it took the efforts of the shinobi world itself to bring her down, she could truly be a threat. "I've never heard of her before. So, she is a mother to all of you?" He glanced to the puddle she pointed out,and cautiously moved to avoid it, stepping around it carefully. The place seemed, frankly, full of these puddles. For such a small village, it was apparently very well populated."If she is really as dangerous as you say, she must be an amazing opponent. I doubt most would be willing to face such a foe." His thoughts shifted to her mention of a former clan of Hidden Mist, one she had apparently consumed. It was regretable, but there was nothing he could do about that now. That was all in the past, likely before he had even been born. War was not something he desired at the moment, and aside from that, he was a guest into this village. It would be best not start a ruckus... well... too much of a ruckus. With the village the way it was, perhaps he could find a way to lighten it up. For now, though he needed to take a look around. "So, what can you tell me about the village itself?" He asked her, curiously. One aspect that did disturb him somewhat was the fact that she held the attempted take over of the shinobi world with such delight. Whether Hedoro was her mother or not, and regardless of them being from the same village, he found such a sentiment dangerous. There was no point in getting riled up about it, though. Ironically, while they spoke of Hedoro, a friend to Adell was combatting this same monsterous entity, ironically, and seemed to have the potential to take the upper hand, if only because the Slime queen was drunk, on whatever it was she had imbibed.

User ImageMamichi would continue to guide him through the village toward what looked like a huge Sphere nestled in a lake, various pipes and machinery coming and going from it. Considering it's location and the occasional ninja that could be seen patrolling about it this was more than likely the place where the Kage would reside if the indeed had one however since they Joined the Federation it had merely lost the title of the Kage and continued to be the nerve center of the village a the council dealing with most of the bothersome details of running the village.

Her attentions would remain on the Kage as he spoke, "Perhaps mother is a bit strong, she created soldiers from her own body for her invasion, Maliae reproduction is more about gathering enough core substance and splitting off into something new than actual birthing. Despite this she is the font of the wellspring we Maliae bloom from and so we honor her above all else. Children of many type and abilities have appeared but I'm proud to say that I'm second only to Mother in destructive capabilities..." At that thought perhaps Adell would remember the immense explosion she left behind at the exams, her escape into the clouds, and the rain of steel-hardened gel she brought down. It wasn't hard to believe her that she was capable of great amounts of destruction but to hear that Hedoro was even more potentially dangerous was sure confirmation of the type of being she was.

Adell would continue and ask about the village, "...Heh... take it in with your own eyes Mr. Kage... we are a ninja village after all so our information isn't so easy to come by. I'll give you the basics free of charge... That's the Main hub, That's the lake it sits in, these are houses for the non Maliae, Businesses as well, and you've seen the gates. Beyond that you're on your own to learn about us." She pointed at the huge sphere in the lack then the area around them, and finished by jerking a thumb back from the way they came.

However it was odd Mamichi had given information about Hedoro so easily and yet was being cagey about the village, it suggested that there was no risk in giving information about Hedoro either that she didn't care about her... or there was nothing to worry about even with information at one's disposal. "And if you are here to learn our techniques then you'll be sure to find that there are many things one like yourself is incapable of, then again that's true with any outsider... for example... Mamichi would hold out her hand and it would shed it's human pallor a cube would arise from her hand and solidify into a cube sharing the shame coloration and rigidity of her current shell.

"Contained within this simple cube is the secret of how I can appear human. With this any Maliae could infiltrate the village of any nation with ease being none the wiser that a slime girl was in their midst." Mamichi would smile cutely at Adell the implications of her saying this suggested that she had spies all over the world, the small cube that took her just a second to produce was enough to render the Maliaes great weakness of their appearance into a distant memory. Mamichi would stop next to a puddle of a husky golden hue that looked an awful lot like honey and drop it in. It would plop wetly into the gooey mix, and sink into it with a sucking sound, and should he have kept an eye on the cube it would dissolve in a matter of seconds before his eyes.

Mamichi would continue walking toward the Lake as the honey colored Gel seemed to lurch to life bubbling as Mamichi had when she appeared before him, However with Mamichi leaving him behind Adell wouldn't have time to see her rise from her resting place.

Adell Terumi, THE GREATEST NINJA IN THE WORLD, wanna-be...
User Image
Adell looked on, glancing at the various sights within the village, and the seemingly endless numbers of the odd-colored puddles. He did notice here and there, though, were normal humans, many of them appearing merchants. such a place as unique as it was must have had some rather interesting economic activity to be had. He would be lead deeper and deeper into this swampy village, having been warmed up quite nicely from the heat that emanated from it. In time they would draw closer and closer to what appeared as a giant orb set floating upon a lake. From it's form all kinds of tubes and devices working from it. Apparently the sphere acted to deliver and receive. Of course this village didn't have a kage to take hold in the center of the village, but they had to have some center of activity which directed the path of the village, whether or not Hedoro, their leader and mother, was here herself.
Mamichi would begin to explain how the Maliae were born From what was implied, Hedoro was indeed the one and original Maliae, with all others merely being divided parts of her. It was reminiscent of a bacteria or something like that. And as she mentioned her own destructive capabilities in comparison to Hedoro, his memories did flash back to her nearly destroying the arena they fought in during their bout, readily putting all of the crowd in danger to do so.
"So then technically you are all just individual parts of a single being? And yet you all manage to be so different it seems." He asked her inquisitively. Questions and implications ran rampet through his brain. With the differences she implied, was it the case they this Hedoro had some kind of disassociative identity. Or perhaps the act of split automatically produced certain changes not only physically but mentally. If what she said was so, then perhaps the great sphere in front of them acted like a central body for them, or maybe a hive mind, something that connected them all in some fashion, given the nature of their existence. To his question on their village, she was much less willing to reveal it seemed, preferring he find out for himself. Perhaps she feared he might attempt to use information like this against them, somehow, which lead back to the potential importance of the sphere. Whether this was actually important in and of itself, he didn't know, but she did neglect to say much about it along with the village as a whole.
She did point out the basic land marks, but did little to explain them. At least he know knew the great sphere she spoke of was the "Main Hub" She would raise her hand towards him as she explained that a lot of their techniques would be beyond his capability. While it was true he lacked a slime body, he felt perhaps their was something he could learn. In the meantime, from her outstretched hand, the "flesh" that coated her hand would flow up from her hand to form a cube of it. It was clearly meant to impress him with her disguise, noting the potential for this technique to let the slime girls actually perform significant espionage despite their slime nature. Adell didn't seem all that fearful of the idea. As he knew that while they could do this, techniques of equal similar effectiveness were common to ninja in general, the transformation skill itself being easily able to mimic the appearance, sound, and perhaps other sensory information of the form they take. While not perfect it was effective, yet ninja already had counter-measures to deal with it.
"I'm certain that there is still something I can learn here. The information you've given me already has been rather valuable." He said with a smirk, watching as she dumped the cube into a golden puddle containing one of her brethren. He was about the comment as it starting to react, consuming the cube and rising, but she was already on the move towards the central hub, and he chose to follow. He would glance back towards the slime, doing his best to keep up.

User ImageMamichi would shrug at his comment about them all seeming different enough, it wasn't really anything to think about, things were what they were. Though Adell seemed to be fascinated about seeing her Vodoi Rebenka at work and as he looked backwards he would see the upper half of the Honey-Slime leaning out of the hole looking at him, she was rather cute looking with a round face, full lips, and sheepdog hair that covered her eyes, or what would be her eyes if she weren't a Maliae. She would place a pair of dainty finger her middle and ring, to her lips and teasingly blow him a kiss, for a second Adell would get a slightly hazy feeling in his head as if he were falling under a genjutsu but the feeling was gone as soon as it arrived. Mamichi herself stopped to look at Adell as he looked back, "Curiosity killed the Kage you know..." She'd say with a giggle, "Word of advice... never eat one of the Honey Girl's slime... It'll be fine in those first few moments but only too quickly you'll understand how screwed you are." Again Mamichi seemed to be a dispenser for good information, and honestly the Mist and Substance were allies after all such a water rich place was good for the Maliae and the Mist... well whatever the Mist got out of it wasn't known to Mamichi... maybe they were just frightened of Hedoro... made enough sense to Mamichi... after all Hedoro was pretty great.

Adell Terumi, THE GREATEST NINJA IN THE WORLD, wanna-be...
User Image
Adell raised an eyebrow as the honey-slime rose up, looking back at him. She blew him a kiss. He was taken aback by that, and the sudden sensation that he felt, if only for a moment, his head feeling just a bit light and clouded, an ever so light amount of blush reaching his cheek in that time. He shook his head as the sensation began to fade, turning his attention back to Mamichi. She would warn him of his curiosity, before providing him a second, and perplexing warning about eating the slime from " The Honey Girl". He could only assume that the golden slime woman was known by that name. He wondered why she would give him such a warning, but could suspected her name had something to do with the temptation with doing so.
He would ask her, none the less, "Why would I ever do something like that? Eating a slime person, regardless of time, seems detrimental to friendly relations." Adell had some awareness of the alliance between mist and substance, however, the reason certainly wasn't Hedoro at this moment, as Adell himself hadn't been aware of her until now. He would continue walking with the slime girl for now, apparently still heading towards the lake. He kept his eyes glancing to the ground to make sure he avoided any puddles from her fellow Mallae.

User ImageThe buildings would stop about ten feet from the water the sand having withdrawn to show massive concrete bases at the foot of the houses it was quite possible there was an underground complex in this village. Mamichi would look at Adell, "It's edible and quite tasty... and addictive. The Honey Girls like to lure their targets in with the smell and trap them that way... however humans are rather interesting in that regard since if they consume the gel they fall into a trance and will obey the Maliae who fed them their gel. Like a vampire and it's thrall, That Honey girl back there in possession of my Vodoi Rebenka will likely be able to become a servant to a Daimyo and slip her honey into his tea and control an entire government within a week." The Maliae only served to become more and more troublesome as a prospect, their bodies lacked solid forms and so standard forms of combat were ineffective meaning chakra based attacks were needed however they too were able to handle the mythical energies of chakra and their growth rate was also faster than human beings practically full grown upon their births. Hedoro and Mamichi's destructive capabilities the ability to blend into human society and now mind control. The Maliae were only becoming more nightmarish as time went on though they seemed docile enough while they had access to all this power there had not been any large scale problems from them apart from the occasional Hedoro destroying a village and her invasion. Mamichi had on her own destroyed a few species of animal eating everything in the area to extinction and having destroyed a few villages herself. However it was odd, how one couldn't quite pinpoint but there was something screwy about it.

"And here you have it, the place where we Maliae reside. And there in the Sphere is where you'll find someone to give you Technique Scrolls so that you can learn what you want from us." It was a rather odd idea that they had scrolls depicting the learning of their techniques someone like Adell who was a Kage wouldn't have to prostrate himself before a teacher who was likely weaker than him to learn these things. He could just read a scroll.
