*nods*
I guess I could say the same thing about my own childhood even though I hated it at the time.

Depends what you mean by "adventures." I did get to see a lot of sights, especially in Europe. I still love Belgium despite everything.

*She shrugs.* The sort of adventures young children have in different countries, I suppose. Europe is very nice place to visit. Haven't been there awhile.
*Looks over at TJ,* What was the reason you moved around.... *Pauses as she ponders, Looking to TJ.* Would you by chance be a X-Men?

I didn't move around like K over here did. I grew up with the X-men, so I become one at a very young age.
My mother didn't live with me, I lived with my dad and he was quite the drill sergeant.

Would it be fair to say then that gruff dads make for superhero daughters? whee

You might have something there. Gruff dads can cast a huge shadow. Mine did at least. It took me years to crawl out from under it.

Gruff dad's are the best. Even when it was the worst of times it was wonderful when he was still around. *Gives a sad smile.* But I've made something of myself over the years.
Yes, but crawling out of their shadows is what makes life more interesting. *chuckles lightly* Well at least some of the time.
*Looks curiously to Kate,* Oh? *Sips her coffee.*

It's especially interesting when my dad is almost invisible in the shadows. wink It made the whole "sneaking around and doing things I shouldn't thing" as a teenager a loss less successful

*Chuckles lightly.* Well yes, they do make sneaking out a little harder. My sister Jules used to always get into trouble..
*Paues at Kate's statement. Thoughtfully going over the information she had on a batwoman in a file for something so was doing in the nexus.*
Vigilante, right? *Looks curiously at her, not really judging. Just the usual quizical look detectives have.*
