I like new characters.
I don't do any of those things...
OR at least, not credit my ideas to other people...

*shrug* Which is why my book reports are unintersting and repetitive. I'm not all that great in the essay field.

Neither am I... Or not.
I sometimes can write them, but I am inconsistant. I think it has more to do with topic than anything else for me though.
I need a certain degree of freedom to express anything, and for some reason I hate tell people what to conclude from my writing, like it should be obvious.

Hehe, if you conlude it all, what's the point of having the rest of the essay? PLus, sometimes it's neat to see different interpretations of your writing.

2000 words
500 word introduction and thesis statement. This should clearly outline what you intend to argue, or persuade to be the truth.
250 words, first point. Proof of thesis with evidence.
250 words, second point, related to first point, more evidence you are not making up you thesis.
250 words, third point, often the cliffhanger, the most powerful statement that what you are saying is not complete bullshit, though usually, it is.
250 words, fourth point. If you are using less than 250 words per point, you will have a hell of a lot of points to make.
500 words, conclusion. Sometime this begins around 1000 words because you really can't prove anything with the necessary or limited resources you are allowed to use, or maybe the topic is not narrow or specific enough or is too stupid to really have a paper writen about it. Usually, you restate your thesis here, but that should have been so ingraned into the rest of your paper, doing that is more or less a waste of time and energy, but if it is not here, you will lose around 15% of your final mark. This is usually where you can place most of your stongest opinions. This tends to be the best part of a good essay, because you have been waiting to read it since around the origninal thesis and and everything between that and here does not really matter.

I wrote an essay once that had a 1000 word introduction and a 1500 word conclusion.
No one noticed I didn't actually do the body because everything was convered so well in the introduction. It could be argued that I am looking at my essay to linearly, but I really liked that paper.
I never got it back because I finished school before it was marked.
i wonder how I did...
Must have been ok, my grade wasn't overtly terrible... you know, stop doing the readings and such that semester because something kept occupying all of my time even though I usually wasn't even doing anything...
I think near the end, I started to read while I was waiting...
Waiting, paitent...
Yeah, I am pretty patient. Unlike Tarathiel.

Quite an accomplishment then. My writing is just so amature, and lame. I feel like I'm trying to write an essay without figners.
My patients can be astounding. And I don't usually complain about having to wait.

Nelphean talked about dragons.
Yes, that has to be one of my less serious entries.

Be mindful of eating elves. They are just as fattening as they are tasty.
