Don't think that would help the chances of you cutting yourself, but it does reduce the chance of getting razor burn. But yeah, best thing to do is keep your razor in a certain direction and not go in so many different directions, that would give you a very low chance of cutting yourself.

Wear men's jeans year round, and swim in your pants. Chicks love it when you swim in your pants.
