Lain walked over to the girl, and softly put her bony fingers on her shoulder, and she looked into the girl's eyes. At first, she detected fear, but that look faded, and was replaced with a numb dullness. Lain walked until she was on a deserted street. She looked behind her, and saw the girl. Lain took both of her hands out of her pockets, and grasped the girls cheeks, steadying her gaze. She pierced the soft flesh of her mind, and Lain began to suck chi out of the girl.

Lain, filled with useless, random facts, disgarded the girl, knowing she would wake in a bit, and be fine. She walked aimlessly on a random street of New York, something obviously on her mind.

The sleek convertible Corvette that was the signature car of the Hunter Krii'Ouse, the Krii'Vette, turned into the local Denny's. The car door opened slowly, and a black boot touched the ground heavily. A second followed shortly, the car's engine shutting down as the second foot set upon the cold pavement.

Out of the car stood Krii'Ouse, his hood up, and his cowl donned. He bore his sunglasses, which covered his luminescent eyes. He closed his door softly, and moved to the other side. 'Well, clearly we're here.' he said, opening the door gentlemanly.

Lain, on a dark, sufficatingly quiet street, looked up at the sky. She eyed the cresent moon, and she continued to walk, her muffled footsteps shuffled down the road, as she was not on the sidewalk, but daringly strolling down the middle of the street.

Rhator

PostPosted: Mon Mar 13, 2006 7:11 pm

Rhator was flying high above the clouds, well out of vision of the humans and there midnight wanderings. He was flying lazy circles in the thin atmosphere, his large wings easily propelling him through the night air silently. He had calmed down a bit and had begun to thin rationally.

I will get that weapon back, I just need to figure out a way for the hunters to come after me, instead of me being on the offensive.

He fingered his golden cross, the protection from Mary's Blessing, his only weapon against that hunter who was so ingenious. He descended into the uper cloud layer, his face becoming misty with condensation. The dew froming on his wings making them slightly heavier.

He descended to just below the cloud cover, eyeing the great city before him.

So many humans live here, if only I could find a way to kill them all in one fell swoop. Of course, my master wishes this to not be so. He feels the humans have a right to live. Bah! He is wrong. Anything alive that cannot enjoy life forever doesn't deserve to live. These puny mortals must all be destroyed.

He thoughts wandered back to the hunter who had taken his spear. That vampire will pay, but first I must procure a new weapon.

He flew off into little china, the chinese residential district of New York. He desceded just outside of a park, landing heavily, his wigs catching the wind to stop his body's downward motion.

He stod up and, bones and tendons cracking, reverted to his hidden human form. He turned and walked out of the park like a tourist on vacation.

He walked the streets finding assorted bars and taverns open for business still, drunk people of multiple ethnicities stumbling around, drunk as hell. The he saw the sign he wanted. All it said was "Ancient Weaponry", but he could feel the aura of powerful demonic weaponry from inside the shop.

As he entered the shop he heard the bells jingle and was greeted by a warm environment, clearly in order to appeal to the humn population of the city. This store owner was a particularly good grave robber. He traveled throughout Asia, raiding ancient tombs and burial grounds, looking for ancient weapons of war.

Rhator browsed the aisles, not touching anything, his hands in his pockets. He stopped when he sensed the aura of a wicked looking weapon, many feet in length. It appeared to be quite heavy and almost impossible to wield. If the person who wielded this weapon were human he would have to stand at least seven feet tall and be three-hundred pounds of pure muscle to swing it once, maybe twice. ((Picture:User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.))

Rhator reached out one hand and gripped the rawhide encased grip in his right hand. He hefted the weapon with ease. It wasn't as heavy as his diamond-tipped spear was, but he figured he could bash some buildings with this weapon just as well.

Just then the store manager walked in, spotting Rhator eyeing the weapon so intently.
"You have a strange taste in weapons my friend. That weapon is no ordinary weapon. It belonged to a famous general in China. The great Kai Xung. A beast of a man, he was massive. Now, no ordinary person could wield that thing, let me tell you. He was known as the thousand man slayer, although he earned that title well before his death. He ended up killing closer to five thousand people before the end of his life at the battle of Chang Du. Some say he was possessed by an evil spirit that made him commit such atrocities. He was ruthless, killing and maiming the young, sick, and elderly."

"How much for it old man."

The shop owner lifted his old crinkled eyes and stared Rhator in the face.
"For you good sir, I could let the sword go for around three hundred thousand dollars."

Rhator blinked at the price, it was outrageous, yet he had exactly that much on him at the moment. Then he realized it. This man is a psychic human, but he doesn't know it! Ever since Rhator had entered the store he could feel a small pinprick at his head, like someone with a weak mental power was trying to flick him.

"I accept you offer sir."

Rhator paid the man, and walked out of the store leaving a mortal unharmed. This was unlike the cold-blooded killer. Normally he would have just taken the sword, killed the owner and walked out. But this store owner was special. With the right persuasion he could be possessed by a lesser demon and used as a transport for sould to Hell.

Boredly, Lain strolled down random streets, streets of the poor, the drug addicts, the sex slaves. The negitive side of New York City. Her upper lip curled in silent laughter as she eyes a young woman laying on a sidewalk, shivering, and convulsing violently. Lain probed the woman, and flinched in distaste as she realized the woman was withdrawing from "ice". Lain pulled her foot back, and she kicked the woman powerfully in the ribs. Lain sneered at the crack, and the light yelp from the woman. "Serves you right, for wasting your fragil body like that, urchin."

Satans Nightmare
She followed closely behind him, never straying too far from where she could not see him. When he stopped, she was forced to skid to a halt to avoid running into him, narrowly avoiding crashing straight into him. She was about to say something when he motioned for her to be silent. Without question, she closed her mouth, instictively scanning the area to see what had suddenly gotten him so jumpy. Finding nothing, she followed after him.

Gracefully she slid over the edge of the building, dropping and landing directly behind him in a crouched position almost silently. Straightening up, she rotated her wrist slightly. She still had not gotten used to the impact on her wrists when she did that...though it did not really hurt. She still did not speak, but rather gave him a sort of quizical expression, raising one eyebrow as if to ask him silently what was up.

He looks up and down the alley, moving towards the middle, deep into the shadows. He feels along the wall, his finger catching in a small rotund niche. He feels around it, twitching his fingers in an odd way. A panel opens up from the stone, revealing a very clinical looking form of ID scanner. He places his finger over an indented depression in the flat metal surface. He doesen't even twitch as a loud buzzing sound is heard and blood pools into the indentation. It seems to be absorbed...

After a few seconds, there is a muffled hiss of pressure as a door slides backwards and to the side, revealing an entrance to a dark and silent hallway. He walks in, beckoning her to follow...

She remained constantly on the alert as he proceeded to gain them access to the Coven. As soon as he disappeared into the darkness, she followed closely behind, her eyes adjusting almost instantly to the dark as they entered.

Liora smiled up at Krii'Ouse, attempting to pull herself out of the pensive mood his previous comment had stuck her in. It's going to suck being immortal.... Her fingers still were in the awkward position between reaching to open the door herself and not reaching to allow Krii'Ouse to open it. Realizing that her hand was still dangling in the air, Liora reached across her torso instead and unbuckled her seat belt. A click and a whirling sound later, Liora was free from her restraints in the Krii'Vette.

"Let's get ourselves some cheese fries." she laughed. Her jovial mood returned easier, for some reason, at the thought of cheese fries.

Liora rose from the car after turning and setting each of her boot-adorned feet on the ground. Her golden eyes focused on the windows of Dennys past Krii'Ouse for a moment. It was full of mortals even at this hour; the scent of them already filled Liora's sense of smell, and they haven't even entered the building yet. Her fingers curled up in apprehension by her side, and she said a silent prayer to herself that none of them recognized her. Furthermore, Liora hoped that none of the mortals would stare. Not only were her eyes certainly unique and undoubtedly inhuman, but Liora herself was a striking figure.

Liora stepped away from the black Krii'Vette and pushed her door close with her fingertips before Krii'Ouse had the chance to do so for her.

A car door slammed shut somewhere nearby. It was unlikely that they'd even notice the wounded immortal's presence, but none the less the anima spirit in her told her it was not wise to stay. Even in the cover of darkness it was obvious she was on edge. Her hand loosened its grip on the hilt of the katana behind her, and slipped to her side as she pushed away from the wall she had been leaning against. A low growl escaped the demon's throat, pain ripping through her side as she disappeared into an alley, eventually reaching the hordes and going underground to lay low for a while.

*Dusk strolled easily along the streets, weaving through the crowds, his head on other things. The new responsibilities thrusted upon him plagued him slightly, mostly because he'd hardly met anyone other than the previous leader and the council. He'd hoped for a bit of a better welcome. Even an enemy or two would be nice, so he knew what he was up against. Sighing, he stopped to stare absently into a shop window. He hardly cared that he was in fact staring at women's underwear.*

Krii'Ouse escorted Liora to the door. He opened it, standing to the side, awaiting her passage. As she stepped in, Krii'Ouse quickly hurried to open the next set of doors. He adjusted his sunglasses to cover his eyes batter, keeping the luminescent glow from eminating through the lenses. Pulling his hood down, he dared a few people to glance in awe at his naturally pure white hair. His tattoo's were barely noticable, much to his fortune, as his cowl covered most of them.

The Hunter lycan lead to the right side, the smoking side, knowing the manager and some waitresses. He sat down, after allowing Liora to sit first. He pulled out his Marlboro's, and lit one up with his finger, making an illusory lighter to keep the mortals in the dark about his abilities.

As the waitress came by, she patted Krii'Ouse's shoulder. 'Hey kiddo, how're things?' she asked. He shook his head, and inhaled the poisonous fumes.

'Not good, Sandy. Just two plates of cheesefries, and I'll have a coke.' he replied.

Sandy looked to Liora. 'What would you like to drink?' she asked.

Ben spun his bike on its rear wheel and parked it up next to a porche. He smiled and got off, he dumped his crossbow and pistol in the bin, he wsn't carrying his Katana, he was weaponless. A ceasefire was in opperation and he was abiding to it. He headed to a club.

Taking a cue from Krii'Ouse, Liora removed her own ebony shades from her pocket and pushed them lightly up her nose. Though the luminescent lighting would be bearable for Liora, it would be uncomfortable. Further more, the shades would disguise both her unique golden eyes and her identity.

She flopped down into her seat, pulling out her box of Salems and lighting one even before she noticed that Krii'Ouse was doing the same. Liora peered into the cigarette box and frowned slightly. She was being rather naughty; usually, she never allowed herself to smoke this much, and, as a result, she only had two of the menthol-flavored cigs left. Ah, well. This would be her last for a while...assuming that she could stand it. Her gaze shifted to the waitress, and Liora quickly exhaled her first pull so that she would not be rude and breath all over Sandy.

"I'll have a Dr.Pepper, please." she said, offering Sandy a warm smile too. "And could you add a maraschino cherry to that?"

Still smiling at the waitress' retreating back, Liora turned and focused her attentions on Krii'Ouse. She allowed herself another pull from the cig before speaking.

"Just remember that things could be worse." she suggested calmly in reference to his response to Sandy's question. "Though, I know from first hand experience that such a concept isn't very comforting."

((Krii'OUse adjusted his shades, not pulled them off. They're covering his eyes more. Silly-o.))

'Yeh, I know. I have a friend who I just found out he and his fiancee broke up. I feel sorry for the guy. They were perfect together.' the lycan said, clightly comforted that she was helping him out. 'So, I don't mean to intrude, but you got a mate?' he asked, shaking his head, and retrying.' Sorry, you got a man?' he rephrased.

He pulled the cigarette from his mouth, flicking some of the ash into the tray. He put it back in and inhaled slowly, letting the gases flow into his lungs. He exhaled slowly, letting them effect him more, and put the cigarette over the edge of the tray, holding his hand there.
