Kumiko frowned. Kaijuu Dimi...The name sounded familiar. "I actually have no idea what you are apologizing for," admitted the boy, "but it's nice to have another friend. Can I join you in your practice?"
Kumiko was about to respond when a "Hey, guys!" echoed through the training room. Kumiko turned and saw a familiar figure. "Oh...hey, Shinzu!" she called, grinning at the sight of her friend. "Guess what? I just got two bullseyes!"

When the girl said his name Shinzu reconized the voice "Kumiko is that you? I thought you wheren't going to join the academy after what happened but either way congradulations on the two bullseyes you're already doing better then me." he said as he moved over to them dragging the dummy with him. Hey he can talk and practice at the same time if he wanted to couldn't he?

Skill training: Throw Kunai 8d20 - 1 = 7. 1 point. Sum of all points: 1 point. 1/20 1-4: outside the rings. {0 points} 5-9: outermost ring. {1 point} 10-14: 2nd ring. {2 points} 15-19: 3rd ring. {3 points} 20+: bulls eye. {4 points} "Hmpf.." feeling alittle left out of the conversation, Masanori took up a few kunais from a nearby table and placed them on a more nearby one. He took one of them and aimed at a diffrent target then the one Kumiko was thorwing at, "I am not really a fan of shuriken," he said with a tiny laugh. "kunai seems to fit me alittle more" and with that, he drew his arm in diagonal over his chest and to then extend it and release the kunai when it was always in a straight line with the target.

Kumiko laughed, running over to help him. "Well, you've gotta keep in mind I'm a year older than you," she reminded him. "Here, lemme help you with that." Kumiko siezed the other end of the dummy, and heard the other boy, Masanori, mutter "Humph." Kumiko grinned a little at that as Masanori began to throw some kunai at the target next to hers.

"Ah thank you." Shinzu said as she lifted up the other end making the dummy way much less to him. "One year is a small number you know that. Besides as of now I have more formal training then you." He said the last part with a little bit of sarcasm as he smiled at her. Soon enough they found a spot to set up the dummy.

Masanori ignored the two, he knew that the girl were going to have himself in her memory for a while. He just needed to play on alittle guilt, and bam! He will have her. But in the meantime, while waiting he continued with his training. The kunai had gotten stuck at a fairly bad place, but it didn't bother Masanori much. He had only practiced with the kunai once before and wasn't really ashamed of his throw. Instead, he walked over to the target and with a quick pull - the kunai was free in his hand once again. He walked back to his former throwing spot and tried once again. His arm this time being above his head, to then being thrown downward to then hit the target after only a secound of being in the air.

Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique) A high-speed movement technique. It is described as 'appearing with the wind and disappearing like the wind.' A very basic jutsu, it appears that most shinobi above Genin-rank know it. Using chakra to activate the body, the user is able to move from one point to another with extreme speeds. This super-fast movement is almost impossible to see with the naked eye. To a normal person, it would seem as if the user has teleported. The amount of Chakra used depends on the distance and elevation between the user and the destination. Hiru noticed that some of the students had gathered in the gym and were apparently having fun doing chakra molding and kunai exercises. As much as he would have liked to join them, he really had to finish this training before graduation. He wasn't sure if he'd have time afterwards and he wanted to make sure he wouldn't forget anything about his training.

Blocking them out, he closed his eyes and oversaturated his muscles with chakra again. That part was fine, but he needed to do it even more significantly it seemed, his speed was far insufficient for such a technique. So, in a flash, Hiru vanished form his current spot and instantly reappeared 5 feet away, much faster than anticipated.

Even though when his technique ended he had went about thirty degrees off to the right and finished in glorious barrel rolls, his speed had been nearly dead on. He wasn't sure if that aspect was completely settled though. He'd need to test it out on longer distances to know for sure. However, he was certainly pretty much done with the part that involved chakra.

Getting back up and dusting himself off, he prepared for what would most likely be his longest flicker of the day. Hiru jogged to one end of the gym and got into starting position. Keeping his eyes wide open this time he simply vanished, only to reappear in the opposite corner, almost thirty feet from his starting location.

Hiru was on his back with his legs in the air against a wall but he had nailed the speed thing perfectly. His whole burst was in one fluid motion and there was practically no delay between the initiation of his movement and its finish. He just needed to find a way to do it more gracefully now. Now that he thought about it, maybe he should have started with that part of the training...

If chakra control had always been Hiru's forte, dexterity was another matter. He wasn't clumsy by any means, it simply wasn't his specialty. Now that he had mastered the impulse behind the technique, he needed to find a way to do it without finishing on his butt and also at the right spot. Otherwise, the results could be disastrous in live situations.

After giving it some thought, Hiru figured it would be better to find a way to finish on his feet, it should have been the first thing to do in fact but he had simply gotten the order wrong. He gave it his first shot, he'd do it abit slower than before but he'd focus a lot more on his footing. He got in position, ready for a more graceful attempt.

Maybe a second passed between the time he vanished and reappeared about 6 feet to the left, swinging his arms to get his balance back. However, he was well on his feet and had not tripped in any way. He was making progress! At this pace he would be done with this by the time of the graduation. He didn't have a second to slack off though!

Without losing a second he shifted to the other side again, this time no more than three feet. The big difference was that now he had managed to land on both his feet without too much trouble. The whole thing was done silently to add to it. Pretty soon all that he'd have left to do would be to determine the spot of his movement with pinpoint accuracy!

Probably overconfident from his two succesful attempts, Hiru immediately leapt for a third time in a few moments. This time, however, he landed probably four feet from where he wanted to go and landed square on his face. This wouldn't have been so bad if the gym hadn't been full of other students, but he hoped no one had noticed...

Hataro quietly swayed into the gym and noticed a few others were here. Faces he didn't recognize off hand. Then again he never paid mind to any of his classmates in the past. Due to the fact he always had his nose in a book. However, he wasn't here to practice jutsu or read scrolls or make new friends. Today, he was going to train hard and would try his best to focus on just that.
Hataro approached a small area where some gray padded mats were laid out. He started out by doing so various stretches and then positioned himself to begin push ups. "Here we go." He muttered to himself and began.

Wanting to look better in front of the others, Hiru immediately jumped back up and flickered farther, this time landing straight on his feet. As soon as he landed he turned around to see if anyone was looking at him. It appeared, however, that everyone was far too occupied with their current activities.

Hiru noticed another student working particularily hard. There was a short gloomy kid who alone in his corner doing push ups. He was apparently a few years younger than he was and could rquire help. Hiru took good note to go and ask him if he needed assistance once he was done with his flicker technique, which was starting to look like it could take a while.

A bit destabilized by the crowd, Hiru tried to make another leap for it. He realized that he could stop increasing the chakra in his legs for the moment, moving that fast and in that particular manner already required enough focus and dexterity without him adding to the difficulty index. However, even with the lessened difficulty, Hiru tripped in his own legs and landed flat on his back.

Not wanting to waste any time and realizing that visibly no one even cared what he was doing in his part of the gym, Hiru got off without any flash and tried another attempt at flickering. The result was the same. He moved really fast from where he was to his next spot, once again he made a move too many and landed several feet away face first on the floor.

A bit demoralized Hiru stopped for a second to assess the situation. This training that had started so well was now going down the drain at light speed, it seemed he had actually regressed in his last few attempts. He sat down and reviewed his movements in his head to try and find out whatr he'd been doing wrong.

Hataro quickly picked himself back up and tried at it again. He certainly wasn't feeling tired yet.

As Hataro narrowed his body downward he couldn't summon the strength to bring himself back up and retreated from trying. "Dang" he grunted to himself and positioned himself to try again.

He thought back to how he moved his legs during the shift and realized that that was probably where he'd gone wrong. He'd been doing a series of many steps instead one quick leap, therefore increasing the chances he had of tripping at such high speeds. If he could focus on reducing the number of movements he did in one flicker, he should get the problem solved pretty fast.

And solve the problem he did. Hiru stood, up, got into position and in aflash, he was a few feet farther, well on his feet and even ready in attack position. It appeared his theory had been correct. This meant one thing, now he had to learn how to get to a precise point while moving quicly and maintaining his balance. This was going to be his final challenge.

To test his skill Hiru picked up one of the kunais from his pouch and planted it into the floor a few yards away. Just as it landed in a vertical position, Hiru inititated his movement and reappeared right on top of it, one hand on its handle. It appeared that he had pretty much mastered this technique for low speeds.

He shook the kunai loose and threw it a few feet farther. This time he'd try to get there faster, still without using chakra however. Again, when the kunai made contact with the floor, Hiru immediately flickered to its location and this time even picked it up in his motion. It appeared he was ready to start using his chakra again.

Hiru threw the kunai 6 feet to the left, approximately. He started focusing his chakra into his legs and moved with blazing speed to the location of the kunai. However, he had apparently been slightly off. When he finished his motion, he was just about two feet left of the kunai, not in even within an easy grabbing distance.
