[FAIL] Still short of breath and physically exhausted, Batsu fell down to a knee yet again. Genjutsu was no joke and he never experienced an attack of that magnitude before. His siblings always used genjutsu on the boy, but it was in small increments that didn't really do any harm. It was just a technique that put him in awkward situations that left him crying in embarrassment or passed out from the mental strain. Cassie was different. The girl was scaring Batsu with her genjutsu and that was FAR worse than any sort of anguish he had endured.

[PASS] No sooner than wheen Batsu stood back up to his feet, Cassie tapped into Batsu's head and hit him with the same genjutsu. The birds encamped around him and he closed his eyes. Their razor-sharp teeth gleamed in the sunlight.

"Wait a minute," Batsu thought while still trapped. "BIRDS DON'T HAVE TEETH LIKE THAT!!" Why in the hell did it take so long for Batsu to even think about that?! Neverthless, Batsu was way more focused in the technique. He put his fingers to his mouth, closed his eyes, and released himself from the genjutsu. Once he opened his eyes he could see Cassie chuckling in his view.

"You know, I was wondering when you would figure that out. I thought you knew better than that Batsu."

Batsu couldn't say anything. The boy blushed hard and his head dropped in embarrassment. All of a sudden, his siblings' evil tricks didn't sound so bad now.

Mizuiro was going to answer the question when Tensei came along and interrupted their conversation, and began asking the kid who he was too. Which reminded Mizuiro he had yet to have his own question answered also.
"Yes, who are you? I--we are going to train, I was planning on doing some taijutsu." He didn't know if this kid like taijutsu, and he figured Tensei would work on something else. He also figured this guy to be a little odd, but he seemed to like him a little. "What about you? What is your name? I am Mizuiro as my teammate stated."

Byakuran considered the newcomer, his eyes appraising him as he seemed to do most everything, his studious expression remaining rather mellow. He considered their rather logical query. Who was he, it was an understandable thing to inquire, he supposed, though he found that most people when asking this question didn't actually mean it. What they meant to ask, was his name. "Hm, a fair enough question." he slowly got to his feet from his more meditative pose, turning to face to two with a harmless countenance. "Byakuran Usotsuki. That is my name. As for who I am...?" he adapted a far more cryptic smile that, while polite and cheerful, also seemed to be suggesting that he was chuckling at a joke which eluded them. "That is a far more complex question... I'll let you know when I find out." he shifted hs gaze between the two. "So you two are genin of the same squad then?" he gave a slight shrug. "I am pending team assignment myself... though I don't really know when it will come through."

He turned his gaze more specifically unto the more silvery white haired boy, his face turning inquisitive once more. The air was colder around this boy. It hadn't struck him right away, in fact without his second self he never would have noticed it. But his enhanced sense of touch detected the almost imperceptible shift in temperature... He supposed that given the Hoshigaki's own infamous abilities and skill, assigning him with another clan would be logical... but which one would... ah. He seemed to recall something about this. The Fubuki. Disliked by the village at large he seemed to remember them having bad blood between them and most everyone else for some reason or another. This boy DID have their similar features... Then again he most certainly wasn't gointg to take notice. If he believed in discrimination by clan he'd have joined the rest of his family in being self-worshiping religious enthusiasts.

"I didn't catch your name...?" he inquired, pointing to the Fubuki. "I haven't met a Fubuki before, at least not personally. Tell me...are you aficionado of your families kekke genkai? Is it true that you can make it snow? How exactly does the..." but he halted himself. "Ah, pardon I DO get carried away. Let's start with the first question hm?" he chuckled. "Your name, was it?"

Tenshi wondered how well that would go. No doubt Mizuiro would have an upper hand with his Hoshigaki strength. It would be a challenge Tenshi would have to rise to, "Sounds rather interesting..." The kid stated his name and also said he was practically a 'free agent' awaiting his assignment of a squad. When the boy asked who he was and rattled off a series of questions, Tenshi found himself lost and not knowing where to begin. When he finally decided on a question he replied, "As you have guessed I am a Fubuki. The name's Fubuki Tenshi of the main family sect." The young man, Byakuran, was definitely one of the curious sort, but at least he seemed intelligent in his questions. He even heard a word he didn't recognize.

This kid was going to have his mind running in circles. Good thing his sensei pointed out working on his mental capacity... maybe he had a chance to keep up... maybe. "As for my kekkei genkai... I haven't quite figured it out yet, but yes I can eventually make it snow." Tenshi slackened his arms a bit after at least having his name. Tenshi ran through his mind. They were without a team mate and the only other squad he knew of already had three members. No doubt he would be assigned to their squad, though he didn't know about the other students yet. He had yet to go visit them in the academy, which reminded him he had yet to finish the jutsu he was working on. Bah, I'll finish it later... I have the rest of life in front of me. Besides, this is more interesting. He removed himself from his thoughts, "Were you the one rustling leaves before?" He may as well ask, seeing as it popped into his head, "I heard some earlier, but thought it was just an animal or something..."

Byakuran seemed pleased at something, nodding to both of them in turn. "A pleasure to meet both then, Mizuiro-san and Tenshi-san." He considered the information alotted him. Of the main sect of the Fubuki clan... he wasn't entirely sure of the particulars of such a position, but in the Otobe, this would have made him something akin to a prince. Byakuran himself had been from the seventh house of the Otobe, though he suspected that other clan's were structured differently from his own...what with their tendency to adopt more western styles and traditions given their long exile.

Upon mention of his earlier training, Byakuran seemed intrigued. "Hm...yes that may indeed have been me... I was in the middle of some intensive training myself today." It was always an interesting reminder to him personally when other people proved themselves capable of impressive feats of hearing as well. Without a second sensory system he sometimes pondered just how most people managed to hear properly at all... the thought of only using his EARS to hear was somewhat of a concept he couldn't imagine no matter how hard he tried. Still... it also meant that this boy had been in range of hearing while he'd been talking to Takahashi. True, thanks to the man's cryptic verbiage he wouldn't have heard anything too incriminating...but still...

Byakuran considered the possible ramifications. If indeed this boy knew the truth about him... but no. That was ridiculous. Merely from overhearing that conversation, it was a stretch to immediately assume that he was a spy for his family, albeit a reluctant and prospectively disloyal one.

He adapted a more thoughtful repose. "Hm...come to think of it, I may have already wasted much of the day...what time is it?" he looked up at the sky absently. "I suppose I should be getting around to raiding and dismantling that illegal gambling parlor..." he suggested with all the air and conviction of someone reminding themselves to pick up more milk before heading home. There was after all, no reason to hide what he was doing. It was a genin's duty to enforce the village law where possible, and illegal gambling parlors, as the name suggests, were rather illegal.

"Dismantling?" Mizuiro got a little excited, he did like the though of destroying stuff, sounded fun, he wouldn't mind joining in. "Do you want any help with that?"
He stepped forward, obviously eager to get his hands dirty. This sounded goo,d something to do other then train, he did need to train, but destroying stuff sounded fun also. He wondered if their sensei would be okay with it, hopefully she would be. But if not, well, it should be worth it anyway, Mizuiro though.

"Well if he's going I'm coming as well." It sounded like a lot of fun, and doing so would be like training, but also like a mission. How couldn't they do it? Tenshi had what he needed, he didn't have much need for kunai, seeing as he was more proficient with his wakizashi. He looked down at his clothes, and decided he would have to do it looking slightly dirty. Not that illegal gamblers really care how they look when they rooted, but it still irks me... He gave a mental sigh and pushed it to the back of his mind.

"Whereabouts is this ring of illegal activity, and how did you end up hearing about it?" It seemed rather odd that some random kid happened to hear about some gamblers, and the way he said it sounded like it was an everyday chore that he had to do before going to sleep at night. Regardless, Tenshi just wanted something to do, and seeing as how it seemed to help the village and himself with one stone, he was all for it. He would deal with ramifications later.

Tired of standing there, and still recuperating from his training, he leaned against the tree behind him for support. Luckily he wore his training and mission clothing. He would feel awkward busting the ring in his kimono. Even though his clothes were still white, he still had a better chance of remaining hidden in his current clothes. There is just something off about this kid... bah... maybe it's just his demeanor. I guess he likes wearing the creepy look. Tenshi wondered what kind of look he always gave off. Maybe the 'I'd rather be alone' type look. He had been alone for quite a while, so it probably just became second nature. What better way to get to know others than busting the heads of criminals? he thought giving himself a small smirk.

Byakuran was, truth be told, rather taken aback by the offer. Lifting a brow at the pair. They wanted to help...? Why? He supposed from the Hoshigaki's tone it seemed he favored...dismantling things, in general. That could certainly come in handy... and indeed he supposed that he didn't have any reason to refuse assistance. Though he supposed it would mean he would have to be careful about how he used his kekke genkai...

But that aside... yes. Yes he supposed this would be helpful if nothing else. "Well," he considered aloud in a his more inquisitive look. "I suppose so. Yes. If you were not otherwise occupied I would not turn aside your assistance." he turned his attention to Fubuki as he raised his own questions. "Ah, it seems..." he reached behind him and pulled out the file that Takahashi had given him on the ..."errand". "That it's located in the housing district, just here." there was a rather roughly drawn map in the file as he held it open for them to see. It contained the information on the building, the average number of players, and the four partners which were in charge of facility. They were the four that he was supposed to dispose of. And while Byakuran knew that meant kill, Takahashi hasn't so specifically said as much.

The files were a little to detailed to have come from anyone who didn't have...one foot in the criminal world, as it were. Most of the information within was a little too well researched to have been acquired by ninja. Shinobi on to the place would have merely broken it up... not given this sort of intel to a Genin and requested they make the facility disappear one way or another.

But Byakuran didn't really care. He was a mysterious individual by nature, and it was generally the impression most people got anyway, why fight it? So he had an acquaintance of questionable caliber? Many Shinobi did. And anyway, he always had his sunny attitude to fall back on.

"As for where I got this information..." he smiled brightly, looking rather pleased and blissfully oblivious at the same time. "That...is a secret." he said in a manner so intentionally mysterious, that no one could possibly take him seriously.

(To see if they're slightly suspicious or not.)

Byakuran adapted a more natural expression just after, as though possessed of an ability to turn off and on his affinity for sensible conversation. "Joking aside. I would be glad for the assistance. I had intended to enter here under a henge... I'm not unskilled with disguising myself, so it shouldn't be a problem... and if you two are accompanying me, you could either try the same method, or I could let you in via this back door." he pointed to said back entrance on the map. "I'm sure it will be guarded of course, but not nearly as heavily as the front entrance." he actualy held out the file mellowly. "Take a look for yourself."

((I think we should each have our own little special part of this mission we create for our character's strengths, and then we'll all take part in a final hoorah battle with some Chunin level guards, sound cool?))

Tenshi looked at the folder, and the roughly drawn out map. There seemed to be a bit of info on the area in question, which was to their advantage, though something was definitely off. The information gathered was way too in depth and the way this kid was acting, not a coincidence. There was something much larger going on, and everything was right in front of him. He looked at Byakruan with a questionable stare. I'm keeping my eye on you... He looked back down at the information. Tenshi wasn't the greatest at hiding and if he got caught, it could potentially tip off the partners and cause them to flee, making an even bigger mess.

He ran a hand through his hair, reading over the info. "Well, seeing as you don't know me, my strength is controlling chakra above everything else. I could try sneaking in with you with the Kakuremino no Jutsu or the Henge. Maybe take out a few players and then disguise ourselves as one of them. Mizuiro, here is a killing machine. With the scent of blood in his gills, he goes crazy... it's actually quite scary, really..." he trailed off. It was too bad he couldn't use his jutsu he learned yet, due to his lack of chakra reserves. If only he had trained to increase the amount in him, maybe he could've used it for the mission.

It was no use wishing what he could've done. He would have to work with what he had, plus he had to keep an eye on him. Though Tenshi didn't want to seem too suspicious, or have Byakuran figure he was on to him. After this mission, he may even scope him out for a bit. Maybe he would return to whoever told him to do this... if it was the village, why not say so? He shrugged it off for now, but placed it in the back of his mind.

"So the back entrance is the way? What if they do escape out the front, what do we do then?" Mizuiro was not tactician, but he knew that giving the enemy any means of escape was a bad idea. He wasn't sure if he could take on guards at the front by himself though.
Now he was wondering if this was actually a good idea to do this at all now, but he still wanted to dismantle something. He decided to just let this kid take the lead, though something about Tenshi made him suddenly become a little worried, but he wasn't sure why.

Byakuran took in this information, his more methodical side of his personality showing itself as he stared at the map. "We'd lose them fairly quickly if we just attempted to attack head on...they'd flee into the surrounding streets and it would difficult to track them down... I suspect they've made plans for such attacks. However..." he pointed to the main lounge of the parlor. "If we can enter the building covertly, without alerting them to our presence, I suspect it would be possible to pick at least one or two off in the upstairs offices, if we can get in, and as for the rest..." he gave a slight smile. "If we can get them into a specific area, I can make sure they won't be able to escape. The Syrup capture should suffice in holding them long enough to for us to dispatch them. Once this is done, of course, I suspect we'll have to deal with the guards they've posted. We might want to take one or two of them out before hand as well. Assuming one is posted at the back entrance, that shouldn't be a problem."

Byakuran betrayed himself in more ways then one. He was a boy who'd been trained not merely in the ninja arts, but more specifically in the art of tactics and warfare. It was something all young Otobe son's of the houses went through. As the second son of the seventh house, even if he WAS somewhat of a black sheep, before he'd been shipped off he'd been raised much with the intent of turning him into an officer, not merely a run of the mill soldier. The Otobe were interested in ruling, and they trained their sons and daughters for such a position.

Byakuran himself was, of course, not the ideal Otobe son, by any means save his talents, but he did have a knack for considering variables, even if he himself wasn't much the sort to take the role of leader. One could even tell from his wording and the way he laid out his vision of the plan that it was suggestion, not an order, which was out of character for one of his line. He sounded more if he was holding a plan out for another to decide or confirm upon. Byakuran was not a leader, no...but at the same time his underlying mysterious nature seemed to mark him as one who would not easily be led either. He was the sort to stand beside others, not in front or behind, and not so much out of any sense of equality, but rather mere preference.

Still, he understood that every group needed a leader. And thus he was willing to humor the practice so long as A: it wasn't him, and B: the person understood that he was merely humoring them, and owed them no such complete allegiance.

This was one of the two chief reasons he disliked his own clan, come to that.

Tenshi placed a hand on his chin, thinking over what Byakuran what saying. He liked the idea of the syrup field, "I like it. We should have a backup, however, in case one or all of us are spotted. We should be glad to have a Hoshigaki," Tenshi said sorting through his mind, "If we can even scratch them, Mizuiro should be able to track the scent of their blood. So if it comes to worst, we can always do that. Though I would rather not be caught and avoid running." He didn't really consider himself a tactician, but he wouldn't just run in blindly and without a plan. At least they had the info provided.

He had a terrible feeling it wouldn't be so smooth. Plans rarely ever went as planned. If they had to, they would just have to improvise and talk their way out of it. At least they had a plan to follow in the mean time. "What are your thoughts Mizuiro?" he didn't want to leave him out of the planning. Mizuiro could be their best asset if they needed to give chase, and he had just as much say in the planning as any of them.
