I own a Vito clarinet...I bought it used and have had it for almost 7 years now soooo...you do the math...its pretty crappy...its sustained alot of injuries from marching seasons past (lol...that sounds like a poem)...the register key has been bent (but I fixed it) thanks to a colorguard girl's flag hitting it, the cork has come off and been replaced several times, and I've had to buy a new mouth piece...I think its half plastic and half wood (I know for sure that the bell is made of wood, but I'm not sure about the upper and lower key thingys and the barrel)...sooo...yeah...that's my clarinet...even with all these flaws it plays pretty well with the occasional squeak (but who doesn't squeak...I've heard pros squeak) it has character and sometimes a mind of its own, but I love it anyway heart heart heart oh...and here ish meh: I kinda stole it from band life sweatdrop this was taken at State in 2005...we got 5th place in the 3A division

Oh mi god. I have a Vito clarinet also. ^__^;; It keeps squeeking and it won't stop. I have been playing it for 5 years. I'm finally getting it fixed. Its cork has kinda been rubbed off and the register is getting old. But I love my clarinet hehe.

Shieloup Hey there fellow clarinettists!!! Wow...some of you got to start early... We only were given the opportunity to start playing instruments in the 7th grade. I am now in grade 11, still as much in love with the clarinet as I was when I started. Our high school doesn't have a marching band (not as much of a thing in Canada) but we do have a symphonic band, which I am in. Our music program rox!!!! This year our band is touring Italy & Austria performing and touring musically significant historical sites!! SOO exciting! And may I just say... who loves Vandoren reeds??? They rock xd our band is to big, we cant travel out of states. we have over 70 people. our high school has little more than a thousand people. our band director took the band to canada not to long ago and they had to unload the entire bus so it could be checked. we take two of the big tavel buses. thats not easy. but he is taking the choirs to germany this year...... sad

I have been playin since the 6th grade, so it's been about 6-7 years. My band director demands that we use Vandorens size 3+. However, they do have a better sound than Ricos xp

How weird, my band loves the clarinets We're the chill section.
Anyways, I've been playing on my Buffet clarinet for 4, almost 5 years and I love every second. I'm also in the top band at my school (we have 3 this year, but their really small) We're pretty good, playing hard music this year. >.<

Shieloup Jealous_Neko Whats up clairnets!!!!!!!!!! YAY! I go to Alvarado High. ^^ I'm a Freshman and currently, me and my friend Mary are the only Freshman clairnets in the top band. ^^ its pretty rad. ^^ i LOVE it! i ABSOLUTELY LOVE band. ^^ its like the best thing ever! My section leader is Karen. ^^ shes funny and weird. lol. but it suits her. Mary(my friend) is a Freshman and is 1stchair(WOOOTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) out of like....15 clairnets in top band. YAY!!!!!! I'm like...7th chair. ALL through junior high, i was ALWAYS next to mary. she was ALWAYS first and i was always second. now though, ihave to compete against pple that are a few years older than me XP it sucks. OH! we got Clairnet section tees. they are SO cute. when i get my camera up and running, i'll be sure to take a pic of it and post it on here. ^^ wow....i just wrote alot...XP OH! i have marching pics on my myspace if you guys are interested. ^^ I only have the band as a group and single clairnets. the band one was taken after we marched. ^^ I'll post a few. we have more clairnets than what i posted. XP i just didn't wanna post them all. Me! : Karen: Smith(Mary): Mary Gunn: BAND: BAND WILD!!!!!!!!!: Summer and Layne(Drum Majors!!): PIT(and Battery): Color Guard: Wow! That's so cool! As I mentioned in a previous post, marching bands are pretty uncommon in Canada. In fact, I can't think of one that I know of. We're more into just like symphonic bands or whatever. I think it's also partially due to the fact that none of our schools have football fields lol, cuz football isn't as big here either. It would be TOTALLY awesome if we could have one though. OMG, who knows the movie Drumline? Omgz, we have watched that movie on like EVERY band trip we ever take, as well as in class when the conductor is away. We must have seen it at least 6 times. Its pretty much our official band movie lolz. But ya, cool pics, and cool about the tees. We get gear from our music dept (band sweaters, hats, sweats, tees etc). I have a hat and a tee, as well as the sweater that is part of our official band uniform that we wear in all our preformances. They have the school's music dept logo on them, and theyre super cute. I hear we may be getting new stuff this yr with our instruments on them xd And wow, I just wrote alot too lolz. Thank you. ^^ our directors don't get us stuff. if we want it, the section leader has to approve of it. XP its fun though. only some sections got stuff for them. baritones got hoodys, tuba got hoodys, clairnets got shirts,(and ALOT of giftbags), Trumpits got shirts, and thats it. XP OH! and the percussion got armbands.
