I apologize for coming across as indecisive. I think Calacie's feelings on the modified avatars really made me think about how much the avatars should be modified.
At the moment I want to grant users some modifications for a slightly fresher look, but ultimately provide an avatar that still strongly speaks of Niamh.
Would you be willing to help me find a few other arm poses that might fit the Dew Drop leg mod on Niamh's avatar?

I, personally, don't mind the newer items--but, then again, I didn't know Ni for very long. I thought the options Dark provided were very well done and that Spirit is the last outfit she had on. Jester's modifcation is beautiful, so it's a tough call. (On a personal note: If it came down to having a companion item made in my memory, I hope whoever's in charge of it knows me well enough to choose the items I'd prefer, but also knows that I'd be open to interpretation.)

I agree that Jester's modification of the face on Spirit is pretty and I'm not adverse to that kind of modification. Dark has done a brilliant job recreating her avatars. I also loved Jester's interpretation of Connors avatars. They're great avatars but while they honor the spirit of the original (to me anyway) they're just not Connor.
What I think shouldn't count for anything anyway. I was not much of a member of the guild, and I didn't know Niamh well at all. If the members that knew her and loved her the most want her look updated, then it should be. smile

I've found and lost a set of arms that I think might be perfect, it's something I own so if I spend the time I'm hoping I'll find it again!

wink I consider everyone's input, no matter how well they knew Niamh. You are also one of the more mature users I know on Gaia, which means your thoughts on matters hold a lot of weight to me.

Edit: Thank you for all the work you've put into finding items and making suggestions! I would really like to submit the ticket as soon as possible and complete my commitment to the companion item. Let me know if you are still looking for the arm item you think might go with Ni's avatar. If you are not, then I can post Ni's avatars for voting on Tuesday and have the avatars finalized by the end of the week.
