Techpriest Enginseer The idea of posting scores on a public level makes sense in the idea that it keeps things "Fair and Balanced". However at the end of the day, the judges call is the right call seeing as they are well, the judges. The way most people cry and moan about some of the pettiest s**t should leave no surprise why it is seen as a wise idea to keep scores private. We can discuss role-playing without posting scores. Hell my personal opinion is the grading rubric seems incomplete and lacking in many departments, and is a bad metric to discuss the fundamentals of role-play (or even judge a tournament by, but I have never ran a competitive PvP based tourney, only PvE events where people were graded on how well they worked as a team to clear obstacles. So take that opinion with a grain of salt.). I have heard nothing but complaints about the judges competence from everyone. I think this would be a good way to dispel a large amount of that lack of faith. If I were a judge, I would gladly post the scores and why I gave them.

Because people don't fully understand what creatine does, and so they go on and listen to supp companies and blow their money on things they don't need.

...I'm just gonna throw my two cents in real quick...
I don't get why people are asking to have scores made public. Unless they changed it, that's what they did the last time I was in it. I know because I made a freaking list of how everyone was ranked based on scores after the first and second rounds >.>
So unless ya'll mean you want the comments posted, which I don't agree with (I think that should be up to the individual (and I generally get good comments, so this isn't "oh no, I don't want everyone seeing them criticizing me")), why are ya'll discussing it so much?

Visionarium I have heard nothing but complaints about the judges competence from everyone. I think this would be a good way to dispel a large amount of that lack of faith. If I were a judge, I would gladly post the scores and why I gave them. It is not about pride in work or judge trust at the end of the day. Posting scores public opens the door for people to go into the score thread, see a score of a buddy or fellow fighter, then complain about it and how they feel it is because and how that s**t is not fair because . Another reason is for example, let's say I was still a judge and had to grade your fight. I decided in my parting comments to point out a few things in your role-playing I wish for you to correct or at least pay attention to for your next round. Your next round starts and suddenly people who seen your last score sheet are making comments non-stop about how in their opnion your role-playing has not changed it and how "that ******** better get docked for this JUDGE JUDGE". Mitigating bullshit by keeping stuff private is the best thing, imo.
At least this way if someone wants to post their score public for discussion they can. Those who wish to keep their results and feedback hidden can do so.
I understand where you are coming from though and it is a noble idea. smile A judge should take pride in their work but if modding taught me anything people will always complain about any decision because of something something. It better to take pride in your work and avoid unnecessary scrutiny.
Also creatine lmao
Also if the judging gets done by the end of the week I am giving everyone involved a gold star.
