"If you can take the bread please," Lin replied, "I don't think I can carry him and feed him at the same time anyways."
That would take a bit more juggling than Lin was use to, so she didn't think it was going to happen any time soon.

"Sure," Earendil nodded and took the bread from her, holding it in one hand while he reached for his coin purse with his other hand. "Do you want to wait here with him while I pay?"

Normally, Lin would love to go along, but her hands were full and it was just easier to stay waiting for Earendil at the moment.
"I'll wait here, we both will, won't we?" Lin looked down at Andarien, "Especially since ada has the bread."

Andarien smiled up at Lin happily. "Bah!" he beamed, perfectly happy with a semi-full (or mostly full) tummy. He reached up with one hand and tapped Lin's chin with his index finger, giggling at her. "Mah!"
Earendil chuckled as he headed off to pay the bill.

Lin lowered her chin a bit and carefully caught Andarien's fingers with her lips. She smiled and she played with him while they waited.
"Happy?"
She wondered at this rate if maybe Andarien would end up speaking common elvish instead of common tongue and they would have to teach him that.

Andarien squealed and giggled, wriggling his fingers around to try to pull them free. He was indeed in a good mood, and happy that his mother was playing with him.
"Hah!" he exclaimed happily, his eyes shining brightly.

Lin opened her mouth and kissed him on the cheek, "You're so cute."
She grinned at him, who would have though she figured that she would be looking after two children.
Speaking of two children, her eldest came back down with bag over her shoulder. She looked around for her ada as she walked up to her mother and little brother.
"I'm back!"

Andarien squealed again and hugged Lin's head when she kissed his cheek, giving her a slobbery kiss on the cheek back again.
He jumped a bit when Miyuki announced her return. He'd has his back to her, and hadn't heard her coming back. But when he looked around and saw her, his eyes lit up and he exclaimed, "Mi!" and held his hands out to her.

"Hi Andarien!" Miyuki waved up at her little brother.
She smiled from ear to ear because it sounded like her little brother was saying her name. Of course it was hard at this age to tell if he really was or if he was just making baby noises.

Andarien giggled at Miyuki, babbling in his baby talk, but it was clear that he was happy to see her.
It was just at that moment that Earendil returned. He smiled at everyone, holding one hand out to Miyuki for his bag. "Thank you, Miyuki," he said warmly. "This way if we buy anything we have somewhere to put it, so that we don't end up having to carry everything on their own."
It made sense to him to do it that way. Not that they were looking for anything really (other than a staff for Miyuki), but one never knew when one was going out shopping in a new village.

"What are we getting?" Miyuki asked as she gave her ada the bag.
Of course there was the staff but she couldn't imagine what else, but then again it hadn't occurred to her that they might want something else.

Earendil shrugged as he slipped his bag over his shoulders. "I don't know," he admitted. "But if we're going to be looking at the shops here we never know what we're going to find. it's better to have a bag just in case."
He looked at Lin. "Ready?"

"Ready," Lin nodded, "Andarien, do you want more bread before we start walking?"
He had been blabbing so much it was obvious he didn't have it anymore and he didn't seem bothered by not having anymore to eat. So it was hard to tell if he wanted to finish the slice or not.
Even though he couldn't answer her she shifted so he could see Earendil and therefore the bread as well.

Earendil held the bread up for Andarien to be able to see it clearly, and the boy squealed and clapped his hands, then reached out as if trying to grab the bread from his father. "Bah! Bah!" he said excitedly.
Earendil chuckled and tore of a small piece of the bread and put it in Andarien's mouth. "Well, he's clear on what he wants at least," he grinned.

"And trying very hard to make himself understood," Lin added.
It sounded like potential talking to her, even if it was all kind of like baby babble at the moment.
"Shall we go then?" she asked watching Andarien eat the bread.
