Mala nodded slightly, sighing. "You decide, but she'll have to find somewhere else to stay aside from our little home if she's coming with us. For one, all of the rings and my amulet are taken - meaning nobody else may have access. For another, well, that's it." Afterwards she continued, "I would also appreciate it if you will all leave me be while we're in settlements. I'll be doing research."

Mala hugged Riley back, relieved to hear someone say such a thing at least. "Thank you, it feels good to hear it from someone aside from myself."

A faint chuckle escaped Mala's lips after hearing this. "You know us well." Now she stepped back, obviously feeling much better. "Atius will also need a miracle to keep me from kicking his a**." she then half-joked.

"Save some for me!" Van chimed in. "And hey, third time's the charm, right?"
"I'm just glad I don't have to worry about angry gods coming after me." Riley said, suddenly realizing what a blessing a vampire girlfriend was over a goddess.

Mala smirked at the ring, not saying a thing out loud just yet lest she look like she's mad. She chuckled at what her brother said. "I wouldn't say that out loud, if I were you - or they might start. Especially since you're an ally of Van as well." she warned.

"Please don't." Van and Riley said at the same time."You going head to head with the gods? By yourself? Your chances of survival would be slim to none, no offense." Van continued, slightly worried that Mala might actually try it if she had to.((Don't you just love spending time and effort worrying over and working on an assignment only to find out on the day it's due that you've been granted more time?  ))

Mala gave Riley a look of puzzlement. "Whaaaaat?" she whined softly at them both. "It's not like they'll actually do it! While Van's sealed away, I'm just some annoying mortal, right? There'd be no actual point to it. Even when I get him out, I'm simply a noteworthy pest at most."

Mala raised an eyebrow upon hearing this. "You forget that he's cocky and egotistical, not to mention that he's likely rather stupid. He's probably too busy celebrating his latest jab against Van to pay attention to me."
