Maya leaned towards Violet again, Even as she watched the ping-pong conversation between the two males."I'm not sure if I should go, or stick around... Though it is kind of fun to watch steam come out of Mit's ears..."

Mit turned on Maya, "Maya... Meat... Now!"
Maya rocked back on her heels, "Fine, But I'm taking Violet with me."
"Maya..." Mit warned.
"She's the only one among you how's not glaring at me." Maya wrapped her arms around Violet's arm, "You want to go see more of the complex? There are some really pretty gardens on the way to the butcher's cave."

Mit had closed the door and sat against it again. "So... Are you going to stop treating Violet and I like we're strangers?"
Maya snorted angrily, "What did you say to him in return? Did you tell him why you wouldn't let him die?"

Maya ran a hand through her hair, "I'm not all that great with mortal relationships... But isn't one of the big things 'if you don't tell another person how you feel, they'll never know'? You cared too much about him to watch him die right? Isn't that the kind of thing you should tell him?"
