Hollis looked at Thema and squinted a little. She smiled and waved to her. What isn't she in the inn? She wondered to herself. She had a confused expression on her face.

Thema wondered if she should go up the window and talk to Hollis but she was to nervous to talk to anyone now. The next time Hollis looked away, Thema retreated back into her forest.

"what are you looking at sweetie?" nick asked walking over to her.
larve awoke with a small gasp. he wa sholding his daughter, his little girl in his hands. he looked over to mell, who was stil asleep. he kissed he ron her lips, wanting to wake her.

Mell slowly opened her eyes. She touched her babies forehead. "She's so cute."

Hollis looked at Nick, "Just the lake. It's pretty. I want to go in it, but I can't" She said, not telling him the truth, for if Thema wanted people to see her, she'd be here. This time she really did look at the lake, seeing it glisten from the sun. She turned and smiled at Nick.

larve handed the baby girl over to mell. he kissed mells forehead. " she is ebautiful, like you."

Mell laughed a little. "Thats a funny joke. Those are probably your genes then." she smiled up at him. "Your alive." A tear of joy left a shining trail down her cheek.

"That's a good question. Want to go for a swim?" Hollis asked excitedly. She turned to him with pleading eyes.

alice knocked on the door, weakly. "hey you two...I wanted to see how the baby was. and how larve was doing. I wanted to explain exactly what he had, since you both thought it wa cancer."
alice sat at the foot of their bed and looked up at them.
Larve kissed mell lovingly and snuggled against her when alice came in.

Hollis walked out of the library and down the hall. She waited for him by the door.

"Cmon in." Mell said. She held out the baby for Alice. "What do we do with it now?" Mell knew 15 languages several nonexistant now. She knew how to play almost every musical instrument and has had time to study almost every field of education. But in all her long life, she had never learned how to take care of a baby.

nick troted after her and opened that door. letting her walk out. he walked out into the sun after her.

alice giggled and began to chant, a bassenette appeared as well as a changing table with diapers and bottles and such. shr picked up the baby girl and began to change her and talk.
"larve as you know had those veins on his back that centered on his spine. well those veins were actually a parasite, known as the rope paraite, it coils around you spine and multiplies attacking everything it can sucking you dry." she powdered the baby and put a diaper on it, then slipped a purple onzey over her head and wrapped her in a blanket laying her down. with a passifier.
" well slit his back open and got rid of all of them....one bit me and began crawling up me but I slit my arm open and got rib of it." alice said she looked to larve and mell.
" with a baby, you change it, feed it, burp it, dress it, and put it to sleep, until it gets older." she said.
larve looked form alice to the baby to mell
" what do we name her?" he asked slightly shocked by what alice just said.

"Such a gentleman," She said with a wink. She looked at him with a devilish smile and said, "RACE YOU!!" She took off running as fast as she could.
