It's got it's ups and downs. I'll be more comfortable once I have stronger strategic footing, I'd rather not be ambushed by rats again in pursuit of a criminal who is honestly beneath me.
Anyway, aside from a footnote about JC Chacez it seems that Batman was impressed by you, particularly by your training and the fact that your ethics are not compromised by religious dogma. We've had problems with that in Gotham. With that said, I have a proposal for you.

There's a tournament coming up and I want to participate, but I don't have a teammate for the pairs competition. Based on my research, you would be an ideal match for me.

The cyberdome tournament yeah ! I hear about that!...
Hmm... I dunno....
I'm not really into exhibitions of violence...
Though I hear is, mostly, a harmless event and a good training after all... *ponders*

From what I've seen of the archives, abstract problem solving and showmanship are judged higher than any overt displays of violence.

::Strolls in, whistling an aria that disrupts surveillance devices. As several dozen rats start dragging things into the bar, any watching and listening devices suddenly explode into a spray of static::

*Scowls a bit.*( I do not mean to be rude, but that keening is a bit rough on those of us with superhuman senses. Might I ask you to stop, please?

::stops whistling, and all the surveillance snaps back into view, showing an empty bar with just Piper and Morbius::
So dreadfully sorry, chap. I've just always subscribed to the notion of whistling while you work.

I'm sorry. It's not that I'm not a music lover. It's just that the particular pitch you were using was a bit painful.

Well, I don't usually commiserate when I'm on the clock, but I suppose when in a bar and a brooding, vaguely Eastern-European gentleman with a slight skin tone deficiency buys you a drink...
::sits on one of the stools, spinning it till he comes to a stop with one elbow on the bar, his chin resting on his hand::
To be perfectly honest, I was just whistling to disrupt the bat-sonar anyways. I'm a man in high demand these days.
