Well I consider the side character as the characters not actually listed or given a profile but are important as characters none the less, important to the main characters. Like, for instance, if my character Yusake still was with his old girlfriend she'd be like a side character. She has no sheet, no powers and doesn't have an official profile, but would still be an important part in Yusake's life.

hmm. But your side characters can ahve powers. For example..they might be mroe powerful then your main character,tkaing the role of the rpotector. They maybe whatever you want with them..though you only see them usually with the main character.
