Nyl Phairen "I can fix this." Another flash of light later, the floor and walls and ceiling and even the bed were as they had been. The chair was still in pieces, though. The explosion had only affected that one room. "How did you pass my barrier?" "What Barrier?!" He looked around, dumbfounded.

"The barrier that doesn't let anything...anything like that...touch me."
She looked down at herself, then through herself at the floor down there.
"Oh. It's me, isn't it. I'm...not inside me anymore. So the barrier's gone. ...I always thought it was the Phoenix's thing, but I guess it's mine."

He looked at her body, and his eye twitched. For a second it almost looked like he was about to cry. His lip quivered for a second. Then everything changed. His hand shot out, grabbed hold of the feeding tubes and yanked them out. The needles were small enough for a bloodless entry and exit, and her stomach lining would heal over almost instantly. He squeezed the tubes for a few seconds, then tore then from the stand. Wordless, he exited the Medwing.

Nyl sighed.
That could have gone better. But...
She followed him, still up near the ceiling. Passing just above him, she landed in front of him.
"I've been waiting for someone to figure out I was still alive for days, Seph. Thank you."

"I've been waiting for someone to figure out I was still alive for days, Seph. Thank you." This time, he walked through her, trying his best to ignore the very strange sensation. "So for thanks of doing what I thought to be right, you blow up at me--Quite literally!" He stopped, the tubes still trailing behind him, changed direction, and moved towards the kitchen. "And you couldn't just -TELL- someone you were still alive?!"

Ouch.
"I didn't know I was! I wouldn't have known anything! Someone had to tell me!"
She got in front of him again, making a conscious effort to be solid--something she hadn't tried before.
"I'm not angry that you did what you thought was right, Sephiroth!"

"But you've been waiting for days for someone to realize it." He tried passing through her again, but stopped. He eyed her for a second, then sidestepped, making his way to the refridgerator. "Then why the reaction? The Outburst?" He asked, as he dug through the levels of fridge, looking for a drink.

"I only just figured out that that's what I've been waiting for..."
She heard his questions and sighed, looking down at the kitchen floor.
"I don't know."
She seemed to half-sink into the floor.
"That was what...what my mind told me to do. What instinct told me to do. To destroy what...what frightened me. What made me want to run away."
She shook her head.
"Even as a ghost, all I do is ruin things. I am not worth the effort."

He turned to look at her and knelt down infront of her, coming to eye-level. "And not follow instinct. If your scared, instinct always tells you to run--no matter what you're fighting for. You know all this, Nyl. Why am I lecturing?" He stood up. "I'm not a Sensei anymore. That's exactly why I resigned from the job." He ran a hand through his hair. "Along with the pay and the benefits. Zip and Nada." He shook his head some, then turned back at her. "So, now that you know what you've been waiting for.. what're you going to do?"

She looked at him.
"My instinct didn't tell me to run. It told me to destroy it. To get rid of it...f-f-forever."
She rose the rest of the way out of the floor, shaking her head.
"I'm not going to ruin things for you anymore."
She was getting increasingly transparent, and her voice was fading. She appeared not to notice.
"I'm tired of making you angry, and I'm sure you are too. I'm tired of getting in the way, and of being ignored. I--"
Her voice, along with the rest of her, simply disappeared.
((Got to go to bed. Night!))

-Reeve sits on the roof, playing idly on his wooden flute, the way Nyl used to. No particular tune in mind, he plays as he sees things, conveying each object's mood or tone. He feels...restless, as the old wanderlust begins to pull at him. He can't help but wonder "what's over that hill?" Where does that stream lead?"-

Sarya wakes and sits up feeling a lot better then she had been. Putting her arms above her head she stretched before getting out of bed. She looked around for her husband though he wasn't anywhere to be found. With a sigh she made her way into the kitchen to grab a piece of raw meat. Once she opened the fridge she was surprised to find that there was already meat thawed and ready. With a smile she took about half and started munching on it. About a minute later Sarya went outside in search of Reeve.

Nekojiri -=A horse emerges from the forest, trotting into the courtyard. It wasn't Neko's horse, but it wore a saddle just like the one Neko's horse did, the same symbol pressed on the saddlebags. It walked to the fountain and started drinking=- Seph nodded his head to the side, gazing at the steed. He stepped off the poarch, skipping the stairs completely, and slowly and confidently made his way towards the animal. He didn't want to startle it.
