Sorry I've been gone, didn't have the chance to get to a computer...
In the current situation can't think of much for Serene to do but stand by and be quiet. No speaking unless spoken to and all that...

I don't remember Senri giving such an order, unless that's some morale she goes by.

This is your mission as well, feel free to butt in and ask the npc questions.

It is a moral she goes by. The only person that should say anything without consulting/getting permission from the group leader first is the group leader themselves... As a subordinate she's there to support the group leader so she won't do anything that could undermine her authority.

Think of her as, like, one of your squadmates in mass effect or something. They didn't go running their mouths when Shepard was in a conversation...at least not most of the time...

Rofl. I don't play mass effect.

It's a strange moral though, but I guess Serene would be an almost ideal soldier if that's the case. Senri's more laid back, if anything. It's probably because she's an interrogator trainee, and not really a "sensei" so to speak.

XD She doesn't teach, she pokes at your brain for a living.

Yeah she is an ideal soldier...till you expect her to sacrifice herself for the mission. At that point, if the mission isn't more important to her than her life (which it most likely isn't) she'll ditch it. She'd only ditch her team though if they're trying to force her to sacrifice herself or if they're unwilling to run with her and she can't change their minds...

So yeah, she's far from mindless but she knows how to hold her tongue...

Cowardice is a b***h. It'll also get you a one way ticket to an early execution. :'D

Senri has her own opinions about what it means to be a shinobi. She'd proudly sacrifice herself if it meant completing the mission.

...now I wanna play Mass Effect....actually I think I'm gonna finish maxing out my current Shepard and bring him over to mass effect 2...

also koto's pretty much in a "reactive" state of mind right now. So unless something significant happens to himself, Serene, or Senri he's pretty much an emotionless golem...

It's largely a matter of context and perception though. Some people might see dying for the mission, instead of living to fight another day, the cowards way out. In the eyes of those people it's easy to die at any time for any reason, but to go on living with a failure and keep moving forward so you can make up for it is far more difficult. Then again with a clan like the Uchiha who is just as likely to kill you for failing as they are to acknowledge the wisdom of a tactical retreat, you may be trading one meaningless death for another.

On the other hand, sometimes the stakes are simply too high for failure to be an option. You either succeed or die trying because that is the kind of dedication the mission requires for success. It's easy to say "run and live to fight another day" but sometimes you can't afford another day. Some times you need to put your life at risk in order to push though the obstacles that are hindering your progress.

In the end it's all subjective. I doubt Koto would let either of his teammates die for a mission and god help the poor b*****d who doesn't see him coming when he's in "enraged protector mode" .....long story short: 1000 years of death...with the katana...hard...

If it comes to that I might temporarily make his theme song "What What in the butt"

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Believe me....I get what you're saying, but...

I never said Senri would die for any reason. I'm merely stating that she wouldn't back down from a mission, no matter the odds. It's her job to complete the mission...by god she will do it, or die trying.

I feel a lot of people have got the wrong impression of Senri. (Which is totally fine. That's the point.) Just because she does suicidal things doesn't mean she wants to die. She knows what she's doing, and if anything...she's the only one that can get away with doing dangerous stuff like that. Senri doesn't hurt herself because she has to; she's doing it because she wants to. Besides....if given the choice, she'd rather inject her teammates with her poisonous concoctions, but that would get her in big trouble. :'D

She doesn't like people; She likes Ijimeru, her job, and serving her village. She could give two shits what other people think of her ideals, not that she would ever reveal them. As it was stated before; That conversation earlier was not her opinion, it was an objective fact. What she believes is none of their business. Though she was happy that Koto understood what she was trying to say. She appreciates how perceptive he can be.

(This is all coming from her standpoint, not mine. 'Cause I'm a nice person and I would never treat people like she does.)

xD Also....LOL. You don't want to piss Koto off, or else your bum will be having an appointment with his blade, right?

That mentality makes her fun to interact with. It also means that once Koto gets put into a position where his views on this issue are tested (especially in regard to Senri) he'll be able to have alot of growth. It might even be the trigger for what he'll plan to do once he leaves the Uchiha Clan.

Also...depending on how things go with Somen's attraction to Senri he expreience his first bout of twisted jealousy twisted hehehehe that's gonna be fun to post. In regard to the 1000 years of death...let's just say someone might get an extremely pointy ninja prostate exam... with a paper bomb enema.

You don't need to if you don't want to. Please understand that I'm trying to keep us from being frozen for some time. Zinc is very busy and I would like to do this quickly to avoid pestering him in the future.

Okie dokie. My post isn't one that really requires a response he's just standing there being the strong silent type right now.

Oddly enough I had the Trolololo song playing the entire time i was typing that...

I had one post ain an rp that was insanely sad because someone close to my character died. It was a very important turning point and a heart felt moment all around. (It was amazing) anyway, I strteed typing it, and then decided to show a friend of mine the benny hill theme... I had to stop posting and wait for the song to end because writing+benny hill does not = sad mood.

Did you get your profile sorted out with Zinc?

not completely we were going over stuff for the hells gate and a few of his other jutsu, but it should be almost done.

Serene's not a coward, not in the least. Its more of a question of value to her. To her her life is her own to sacrifice and nobody else's. Modern day example, say that she was like a cop or something, and say there was a criminal, like a con-man, child molester, or someone else equally despicable that was like being hunted down by a crime family. She's expected to put her life on the line to protect the guy so he can see his day in court, but Serene's mentality is this guy isn't worth losing her life over, so when the mob comes and starts shooting, she waves goodbye to the guy and goes on break to the donut shop all across town. However if the same mob family is after say someone innocent, yeah she'd put her life on the line to protect them...

*sigh*...watching too much law and order I guess... Anyway, Serene will risk herself when she thinks its worth it, not when someone else tells her its worth it. And plus, her will to survive makes her tougher when things look bad. Like if you've even seen Code Geass, just like Suzaku.

He has plot convenience though. The whole reason he lived throughout that series is the fact that he was the special childhood friend. BUT enough about op characters! I must post as Takeo!

When Lelouche hit him with the Geass and the command to live, whenever he gets into a bad situation where his life's in danger the geass causes him to push his abilities to and sometimes past his limits in order to make it so he comes out alive...
