And in the realm of combat?

Instead of fighting with any sort of melee skill (which a fighting tournament should be based around), you immediately create fire from oxygen and create hydrogen nukes.

Once again, no room to talk, along with almost everyone in this entire failament.

There are people who can create instant-cast barriers that operate on the subconscious level, which can block any attack that comes its way. Guy can also create fire hotter than the sun, can fly around at super speeds, and to top it all of, he's a Ninjar kid who's apparently more skilled in combat than a hardened spec-ops soldier.

I've seen like 5 people who have reasonable fighters and can use them with skill. Dyne would be there as well, because he is a good fighter - just don't know why he's using a 10ft tall dragon dude. Then again, it isn't nearly as shitty as the rest of the fighters in here, and he'll need it to combat the faggotry of the aforementioned s**t.

Lololol, I was hoping GTB2 would have been better, but if anything, it almost reaches the level of fail of the first one. Then again, at least you had good fighters in the first humiliating god characters left and right, and getting Ertai to say guns are overpowered (which Vintrict seems to believe entirely and utterly, despite allowing in s**t that generally makes guns kinda pale in comparison in terms of pure destructive or wanked power).

Makes me glad that HoH is so infinitely superior to this place. At least there's one good tournament on Gaia.

Lolol, I've been here since the original GTB.

Too lazy to quit, and I wanted to watch people like Jak, Desi, Darth, Dyne and the like fight, as they're all good fighters. Same with many people who did pretty good in HoH, like Fier and Snow.

Was hoping for at least that many more people joining who are actually using balanced, realistic characters, but I've yet to find any.

You listed like half the people here lol. IMO like three people are using balanced realistic characters, but that's life, lol. neutral

I'm talking HoH level. Characters can still use powers, but they're not "LOL I JUST RECREATED THE HINDENBURG".

Jak's and Desi's characters are pure human with no powers - they're completely balanced. Darth's character has some electricity powers and is a good fighter w/ tomahawks - this is a character he got into HoH with and was considered one of the best, most entertaining newcomers to the tournament. Fierach's character is different, but if Darth's character can fight with him evenly, then I'd imagine he's probably HoH-level too. Dyne's character probably wouldn't have been accepted to HoH due to it being inanely HUEG, but he's a reasonable fighter, so he doesn't try and completely overpower everything. Snow entered his character from HoH, which was pretty powerful, but not extremely so.

Restriction breeds creativity. That is a saying that tournaments like HoH hold dear, and because of it, creates fun, balanced fights that make it the most renown tournament on Gaia. It'd be one thing if all these crazy power users had some sort of drawback to their power, but I'm pretty sure all of them believe that them simply getting tired/running out of energy is plenty enough.

And sure, creative freedom is allowed to make things seem a lot cooler in your mind but not in the minds of others. For example, I could go "Oh man, it'd be so cool if I could use a Javelin MANPAD on my next opponent for the sheer 'ohmaigawdwtfBBQ' moment!" But I can't, since I wasn't allowed to even bring grenades into this damn tournament but it is fine for you guys to have EXPLODING MUSHROOM CLOUDS OF DOOMLOLOLOL!!1!

I can actually bring up a good point that I, myself, was guilty of during the HoH. In order to physically represent how terrifying my character was, I used words that weren't exactly the best choice; however, they are often associated with evil and chaotic archetypes. I got into a lot of trouble for this because my opponent assumed that they were fighting something of HUEG GAI proportions that was invulnerable. If you were caught using an attack capable of creating even hydrogen bomb-esque clouds there is an incredibly good chance that that is what people will assume it is. Leading to unneeded bitching on behalf of both parties: "How does I Manhattan Project?"

Cog is an incredibly able fighter who had the foresight not to enter this tournament, I on the other hand, had assumed that different manager meant better management. Should have assumed otherwise the moment I saw Dyne's character get in but not even my sidearm was allowed.
