Meanwhile police officers began to gather around Link. Groaning about another 'drunk' call on their radio. Link was merely slapped awake, "Huh... Ike?!" The two police men began to see Link struggle with a lot of effort. "Stop! I'm agent Link! Work for Mishaps! I mean FBI." An officer grabbed Link by his neck performing a neck lock while the other began to taze him. "b*****d!" Yes, while he was being tazed people walking on the sidewalk couldn't help to chuckle and burst out laughing. Link who had a grappling gun in his left pocket pulled it out and shot it towards a building's roof. "Where are you?!" Pressing the red button on the side of the grap. gun Link began to ascend towards the roof kicking off the two police men while the fell and stood up again pulling out pistols firing at will. And finally Link was on the edge of the roof breathing heavily. "This side of the world sucks..." And finally Link was left on the roof on his back looking up the sky.

((I bet you have heard a lot about the fires in Socal. I happen to live in Chatsworth and the arrowhead fire is right over the mountain closest to my house... the winds are blowing the fire towards us. The news stations are not very optimistic nor am I. We were with out power for about six hours yesterday and I had to chop up and dispose of a fallen orange tree with an old worn handsaw missing two out of the three screws holding the blade to the handle... Not a great weekend.))

XinrieArath " Greeting Rubiks...and Cyrith I could start ya know, throwing sharp pointy objects at you, would ya like that better?" Xinrie raised a brow slightly at Cyrith as she discarded her jacket for a much lighter-weight cape sort of object. "Urkal is a desert based city, the second we leave the coolness of this alley, its gonna get real hot real fast....Saun C'mere Rubiks heres your cloaking device." She had begun to dig through her pack, hurridly portraying things out, they needed to hurry thier extra time was running out. Dragging out a tiny rune-like gem, she clasped it around a gold chain and tossed it in Kairin's direction. Rubiks and Xinrie needed it because of the quaint little fact that the thieves would want nothing more than to kill them on sight from the last feuding 'war' they had gotten into. She withdrew another similiar red gem and slung it around her neck. "Activate Please." The gem immidiatly sprang to life, glowing faintly. Xinrie's once light brown hair shimmered into a vibrant red color, her grey eyes faded into deep green pools and her tan-like skin turned pasty pale. She quickly wrapped her new red colored hair into a tight, rather sloppy bun as Saun lumbered his massive six-foot tall self to her side. "Okay, this is a mission therefore we use only our codenames I will only be reffered to as Stalker, Ike as Guardian and Kairin as Rubiks, Gene yer codename shall be Arsen, and Cyrith yers will be Rapier, is that alright with you two? or would you rather I thought of something else?" Xinrie folded her arms for the moment, waiting for them to reply.ooc: Welcome back Link x]
Ike's slightly pointed ears perked themselves up, because of his race senses were usually higher than others. He heard that familiar....yelling voice, it sounded faint but it was no more than two miles away. He glanced in Xinrie's direction notioning that he'd be right back, before heading off in it's direction. "Dang, I thought he had gotten killed or something like that." As Xinrie spoke of the mission site, Gene took off his green cloak, which he knew he wouldn't need, and put his pack down. The SECU (Selective Environment Camoflage Uniform) he wore instantly took in the colors of it's surroundings and shifted into them, making a camoflage that would match with his inmediate surroundings. Effectively, this SECU was his own style of 'cloaking device'. Sure, it wasn't particularly completely stealthy, but it was better than not having it -- anyways, most other cloaking devices took up too much energy and maintenance.
When Xinrie put on the necklace and gave Rubiks the other one, Gene frowned with a bit of wonder. "Hey, how come only you two get to switch your looks? Is that a girl thing...?" He kind of noticed that only the two girls in the group were changing themselves, and the rest, the guys, were to stay the same.
The captain explained that in the duration of the mission, they would use codenames to call eachother by. Gene's own was somewhat random... or was it? "Heh! Arsen!? Are you trying to indirectly call me something, captain?" Without further ado, he shrugged and chuckling, sighed and stated. "Well, I would rather be called anything that doesn't sound like a human's body part, if you don't mind.
By the by, what all is our gear? Is the gear I left over at the HQ here -- or atleast, what little gear of mine I can use in this mission?"

"Ah well you see....Rubiks and I are actually highly wanted here...amongst the thieves and even the guards that hired us. Long, long, thing from several years ago. So we have to take on different aliases, otherwise the mission would kind of end the second we walked through the guard post doors." She cleared her throat some, remembering that wondeful memory. Oh how fun that was. "Anyway, Glad you like the name Rapier, as for you." She glanced over at Gene, thinking over what she was about to say next. "Ah...How bout Paradigm? I think it fits you pretty well. You seem like the mind playing type....Gear, as for gear, you have the appropriate weapons in yer pack. These people combined Elemnts with thier technology, so ya should have short sword, infused with either wind, fire, water, dark, light, etcetera etcetera. The elements allow it to have one ability, and to be far stronger in strength. The guns are the same, only what it fires out are literally balls of the lements, its more deadly than a lead bullet. The other gear consists of things for scaling walls, Communicators, neccessities surviving the desert heat, currency of this land, and other such things." She stopped, looking over them to make sure they were tkaing this all in.
Ike, fluttered to a stop, hovering just behind where link lay. He eyed the scrambling cops below them with a sigh. "......Link, what did you do now?" He planted both feet firmly onto the rooftop, tucking his wings back in once again, he looked down at Link, forwning. "Ya didn't go and shoot one of them did you?"

Cyrith just grinned at the info. An elemental weapon? Cool. But what element, and what weapon was the question. He would personally like a sword, with some lightning to increase speed, but he didn't know if that was the way it worked. So he decided for the safer approach, and ask an expert.
"'Ey, Stalker? Do we all have both a gun and a sword? Or only one? And how do we know which elements we have, and what they can do? I don't want to accidentally fry someone cause I can't use the element properly."

.: surprised oc::. Sorry all! I know its a day late than Xinrie promised but I completly forgot about a mid-term test I had to study for
"Ceartainly SunTzu, you should have one Rookie though, on the way, We recieved her application just today....but I am not sure if she will arrive. We accepted her though-"
She was cut off when Tech entered the room. Ryanna's expression scrutinized the librarian, simply glancing over Tech and SunTzu. Why exactly was one of the mageian Librarians running around like that? She quirked her right brow, raising her head some.
"Thankyou Tech...and...You."
She pointed a slender finger at the LIbrarian, her expression turning hard.
"Do you have permission from the Hig Order of Mageia to be scantering off your Library Duties? You ought to know what happens if you don't."

Apollime walked down the hallway, glanceing around for the Captain she was suppose to be meeting. At least, she guessed it would be a captain. She had gotten this address, and a go order, and that was all she knew.
"Maybe someone won't shoot me then ask questions..", she muttered, half serious considering just where she was.
She tucked her hands into the pockets of her black skirt, her hands resting on the top of her pistols as she continued, her expression blank.
"Squadron Phalanx...Squadron Phalanx.."
she tucked her hair behind one ear, tugging on her gloves as she finally stopped at a wall. Looking left then right, she heard voices from somewhere close. Stepping closer to the wall she silently made her way towards the echos of the voices, one rather irate but commanding.
Somebody must be in trouble with el capitan...
Coming to stand in the doorway, she stood straight, hands in her pockets as she looked at the people in the room, her hair falling down her back from her ponytail as she looked around. Assumeing the woman with the most authoritive stance must at the very least be high ranking, she simply stood and waited to be addressed or noticed. She was rookie, yea, she would wait.

The Librarian thought very quickly. "ugh", he said, and waved his hands. "Ugh, eek ugh!" He had to..... he grinned, and found a way. "Ugh-U'gh!" He looked at Brian, and grinned. Surprisingly agile for a 400 pound orang utan, he reached into Brians laptop-case, and pulled out a book. It was a Unix Manual from 1963, one of the first prints. it was a big red book that would not fit on the shelf. He grinned, and waved it. "Ugh. Ugh ugh ekk" Then, he pointet to the librarian code on the back. It was not exactly the standart printed version, which had been introduced in the late 80's, but since the book was a bit older, he would have no visible problems with the handwritten code he had added out of pure convineance. he had allways been a bit of a loner in the crowd of the mostly human Librarians. His "accident" with the Magic tome had not exactly been helpfull towards it, but he liked it. As a 400 pound Orang Utan Librarian, he had allways been able to work alone in the heavily magical section, and the othes had somehow been a bit excited that someone who was obviously more different then them, and somehow expandable, and they had not exactly posed any resistance as he had erased his name from the files, in exchange for a whole years ammount worth of strong booze. He smiled, and patted at his chest, while performing a very nice routinely set of obscene gestures, while saying "UUgh, ugh, EEk eek eeK, Ugh eEk, Ugh U`g-h eek eeek EeeEk!" Brian caught on very quickly and just nodded. The Librarian was very pleased, and continued with the gestures, the ughs, and the eeks. He grinned, and for the first time in his life, was very sure of what he was doing. He smiled. The Incident where he had erased his name had been 400 years ago, and he had just hung around the area, untill no one of the original workers had been there, and the new ones had chosen not to ask him whatever he had been doing. They were just glad that he allways went against the monsters that threatened his section of the Library. Well, he did not know anything else then that stuff, at least untill Brian had stepped in his life, and had shown him his computer. He grinned, and smiled very much. as far as he did know, noone was alive that had known his name. And he had, partially to find out about the longlivety magic that seemed to keep him alive for forever, studiet allmost everything there was to know about magic. and as far as he knew, for the really powerfull magic, they had to know his name. At least in this point, he was save. "Ugh, " he said, and pointed towards Tech.
Brians Brain rattled. He knew that Face. It just ment that the Librarian needed to have a very good lie, very plausible. He smiled. "Well, as far as I know, the Librarian has just tried to tell you that he is ok with that. As far as I have known, they keep the guys in some kind of slave service there. Now, I have offered to buy him free, but I think we have still some communication problem there. As far as for now, I think I am employing a second class librarian as a paied help for literary research. I mean, just a few days have been passed , and if the department of the Library would be so nice to bill me, I would gladly pay fully, in whichever currency they favour. OOh, and as far as that whole bit about having permission, I have made the most wonderous discovery today when I looked at the adress list this company keeps. I was very stupified when I noticed a "transdimensional lawyer agency" under the lesser used contact lists of the former sysadmin. I mean, judging from the horns and the tails and bat wings on the photos of them, these guys from Wolfram and Hart seem to be very honest, trustworthy and hardworking gentlemen. You see, after that, as far as we have planned, we would have gone down to the food department and would have gotten the pigblood that the document clearly states has to be spilled in a pentagramm circle to summon one of them. Just a marvellous idea, and I bet they are willing to help the Librarian inform himself about the neccesary steps to terminate his working contracts, if there are any, that tie him to the Library and its owners. OOh, and maybe the Librarian would also be very happy to file a complain about racial slurrs used against him, and as far as I have understood, there is also a possibility that his present form is the result of an insecure workspace accident. I mean, I have never ever met a lawyer upfront, and they allways seem to know that much..... I mean, of course, since the two of us are technically not yet employed by the company, nothing bad will fall on you guys. Well, as you may have noticed, The Librarian is not a man of much words, so Commander Ryanna, if you could somehow explain to me what this High order of Mageia is? OOh, and is it really true that there is an entire magical library of books, perhaps unsorted, and on old paper? Noncomputerized too?" Brian smiled, and leaned against the wall, as he smiled at the commander. The Librarian was a buddy, and since he had not that much of them, and his father had allways been quite strict about it, he would fight for his last. He was aware that he had just used up three of his most powerfull arguments. One, he paied for it. Two, he had planned to use legal action of the heaviest sort. and three, he could, possibly, go over there and wreak havoc against the establishment, simply by being a polite smart boy whom chaos seemed to follow.
The Librarian grinned, and nodded, and made a very rude gesture, while he nodded some more. His initial plan had been translated masterfully, and his trustworthy companion has had the saving idea which he has not had.

Vampire_Blade_Stalker Anima took a step forward. "Captain, back off. I already said fine. I just said that this ability could help us do any mission, plus, I am better than you were back then." He grinned. He drew his sword and then spunn it around in his hand a few times. "Infact I think I am better than you are now." ((Sorry Anima I missed your post. >.> It happens to me sometimes. Any way I see it now. You should tell me next time your waiting on me.)) "Who the hell do you think you are? Their is a reason why I am your captain!" Sokato said giving an even more menacing look noticing Anima brandished a sword in front of Sokato. "Now put sword away before I have to beat the stupid out of you." Sokato was not in the least bit pleased with Anima.

"Try it." Anima was smirking. He had missed the rebellious stage in his life, and he guessed he was going through it now. So he wasn't going to let some punk a** man tell him what to do, ecspecially if their skill was lower than his.

Gene stiffled a chuckle, hearing how she and Rubiks were actually wanted around these areas. "Figures."
The codename? Meh. It was okay. As long as his name wasn't 'Arse-n', Gene was okay. With a shrug, he replied, "Sure. Atleast it isn't going to remind me of how much of an a** I am everytime I get called." He then searched through the bag, looking through the equipment they had at the same time Stalker began talkin about the stuff.
Taking out a gun and looking at it, he noticed it lacked a lot of things that a standard handgun has, such as the release for the bullet shells, and the hammer. He pointed it forwards and looked through the aim it had ontop of the cannon. It was decent, but his guns had better aims. Quite frankly, he felt a bit uncomfortable wielding guns with no hammer and no bullet shell release. It felt kind of weird just pulling a trigger and watching a ball of magic come out of it.
"Magitech, huh? Not very reliable, where I'm from... but, if they deem it important for the mission, I guess I'll trust our providers...
...unless, ofcourse, our enemies have better weapons. Don't you doubt that I'll be stealing an assault rifle if they bring one in."
He took a look at the short blades. Interesting. Reminded him of his own Sabers X & Z. One with fire element and the other one with ice. Ofcourse, these didn't have the vibroblade function that his two kodachi did, but they were still pretty decently sharp. He scanned all of this with his bionic eye, and then looked up at Stalker.
"Well, I'm dying to know recon on just who we're going to be fighting", he stood up as he spoke, "but I'll wait until we get to the city for all that briefing. I wanna see some sand already."

Sokato really had it. He had no more patience. No more patience for some person to push him to the limits and underestimate him. Just about two seconds after Anima uttered "Try it.", the light bulb in the small light fixture in the ceiling fizzled out, adding another broken item to the list. Even though the door was missing little light shined through making the room dark. Sokato although did not have to deal with the dark, his vision, being better in the dark than it is in the light. Sokato reaches forward and grabs the blade of the sword. He then proceeds to snap the blade into two pieces with only his right arm.

Meanwhile, Hrisskar had settled into a VR program in the simulation room. He had to work on his long distance shooting, and was doing so, using the classic helmets on a stick method.
'Heh, brings back memories of when I was training in the Army,' He thought to himself, while he shot each of the helmets with a loud ping.
Lowering the sights, he admired his handiwork, and then got up from his prone position, holding the VR-created Steyr Scout in his hand. 'Huh. While its a good rifle, I still prefer my Dragunov SVD. Shame this VR room can't replicate them', he thought, thinking about the beloved rifle under lock and key in his room. 'I shall have to speak to Brian about that. Maybe he could get an SVD into the VR data.'
Wandering back over to the console, he entered in a few settings, to see the (fake) environment change to a war-torn section of city, and the helmets turn into moving soliders, each bristling with modern weaponry.
'Excellent', he grinned, running in the direction of a low, crumbled wall that had materialised a moment before. Taking cover, he reflected on the marvels of technology. This wasn't real, but by god, it felt it. It got his blood pumping anyway. Crouching down, edging beside the wall, he winced as he heard bullets crunch into the brick. Sounded real too. Pretty sure that if he caught a bullet, it'd hurt like it was real too.
'Would it be possible to die in here?' he pondered.
