Jaden watched the conversation between the two with only mild interest, it was only after they fell silent that he spoke. "I was sent here to make sure that you were still alive Silver, that being done I'm staying here for only my own curiousities." He took stood against the wall and a small drip of blood could be seen from his right hand. "Why does he want you?" he said bluntly.

I glared at Jaden. "You can wait a moment. She means more to me than your questions," I said harshly.
I listened to Fate and sighed once again. "We're so different, you and I. Yet we are still able to be with each other. Amazing, isn't it? I still don't understand it myself, but no matter what I say or do, I know. I know that I still love you and nothing could change that in the world. Nothing. Even if I act harsh at times or I say things that hurt you. You must remember that I do still love you. I have my own feelings too though. You always act upon yours, but you never have any consideration for mine. How do you think I feel right now?
I hurt so much inside my heart, its incredible. No matter what damage my physical body takes, the pain can never trump the pain I have inside. It revolves around you. Every time you are hurt, I am. I am convinced that even now, if you died, so would I. We're connected in so many ways.
Can you see that? Can you? I am with you and I am you. That is the way things are.
I'm sorry if I said things that hurt you, but after I said them they hurt me too. Sometimes I think that I should just sew my mouth shut so I don't hurt any one else. I don't mean to do it on purpose, but I still do it.
Please accept my apologies. I beg of you. Please! I can't...I can't live without you. Fate...i'm sorry..." I spoke loud enough so she could hear me outside. Jaden was still there, but I didn't care what he thought of us. These words came straight from my heart and were the very essence of my soul. I laid everything before her and now I let her decide. The choice was ultimately, like always, hers. For good or bad.
I glared at Jaden and dared him to say something scathing. Even in my state, I would find the energy to hurt him for it.

Jaden listened to Silvers words without interest. As soon as he sounded finished Jaden rushed blindingly across the room and using his left hand, grabbed Silvers cloths and hoisted him up so he was dangleing at least a foot above the floor. "Now that your finished with that" he snarled shaking Silver silghtly. "You can answer me because I am in a very bad attitude since I was told not to continue fighting that b*****d."

Staring at Jaden and even with all of the tension in the room, I laughed. "You think I am still afraid of you? Oh, that fear ended a long time ago. You can no longer scare me.
You must be proud to beat up a person who can barely stand up. Good for you. The big, scary lycan beats up people and also near invalids. Will that be your listing?
And i'm sorry that you didn't get to kill Logan like you wanted. I would have been very happy if you did, but i've decided no longer to fear anyone. All my life is devoted to is making sure she," I glanced out the window, towards the fire escape, "is safe. Thats all. So you can stop all of the bravado and put me down and talk like a sensible person.
Got that?" I stared right at him, showing how serious I was. I even showed my anger in my eyes. If he tried anything, I would get him back later. He could count on that.

Jadens eyes flickered briefly, some of Silvers words had hit home but not in the way he had intended. For the moment he refused to relax his grip but his voice calmed down considerably. "You never answered my question."

I laughed again, and said," Fine, fine. If that will have you let go of me, fine. Anyways...
Let's just say that Logan was the one that bit me and changed me. He said that he would allow me to be free for a time, but the call of the pack would draw me back. Funny enough, it never did. I suppose he just got fed up with waiting and came to get me to return with him to the pack. He showed up at the perfect wrong time. When he saw Fate and realized that she was a vampire, he kinda got a little mad. Logan doesn't like vampires...at all. I suppose that he decided I wasn't worth it anymore, but since I wasted his "time" in preparing me, he wanted a little payback. I guess that is understandable...if you have a warped viewpoint. And that pretty much covers it. Anything else or will you let go of me?" I raised my eyebrows when I said this.

"I'll let go of you." Jaden said in a softer tone. He set Silver down softly on the ground. "Next time I see him only one of us is walking away." he muttered shaking his right hand and sending a spray of blood on the wall. "He reminds me to much of me." Jaden turned and walked toward the door but then stopped. "Silver..." he said without turning around. "Don't say you don't fear someone until you know what the're capable of." With that he moved swiftly out of the room and headed toward Club FM.

So I guess he might be something to fear. Nothing so far has made me believe that though. I do hope the next time they meet, Jaden will kill him. Hopefully...I slowly got up and walked over to the couch. Groaning, I sat down again. Fate still hadn't answered me so I waited patiently, knowing that she would answer in her own time. I had put a lot out for her to look at and it would take her a little bit to come up with an answer.
(You can mention me and Jaden's discussion, but I still want an answer from when I talked to you earlier. The longest post ever...@.@K?Thanks!)

Fate sighed, hearing Jaden leave. She couldn't follow, that would be an immortal suicide. I hope he heals quicker than last time. Her eyes swirled painfully. The scent of anger, fear, sadness, and blood devoured her apartment. Quietly, she leaned back inside and shut the opening. Straightening her clothes and running her fingers through her hair, Fate wiped her eye. What Silver had said bothered her. They had not known long, but yet, all this emotion was her burden to bear. Glancing at his limp body on the couch, she swallowed softly. She would have to respond sometime - Only trouble was, she wasn't sure how. Fate had never been any good at answering questions. That and making wise comments. Her teacher once said, 'She with the spiked teeth smite her own tongue.' This made her grin. So many fond memories. They brought her back to the ones Silver and she had shared. There weren't many, but they were pleasent all the same. She longed to embrace him, and to feel his embrace, but what could she do? Stiffly, she entered the bedroom. Pulling her hair into an intricate top-knot, she searched the closet, pulling down a gray tank top and sweats cut at the calf. Turning toward the bathing quarters, she laid her clothing on the counter. All I can say is, I'm sorry for the way I am. I can't change now.

Hearing her shut the opening, waiting for her to speak. She said nothing, but I still waited. I knew that she would say something eventually. I heard her go into the bedroom and I leaned back closing my eyes. She's probably thinking of what to say. I'm not making this easier on her, but I really need an answer. Closing my eyes, I went through my mind trying to sort out where things had gone so terribly wrong.

Fate solemnly took her time. Closing the door half-way, she lit a candle on the counter. Running a tub of water, she slowly undressed what was left on her person. The sweater, the jeans, and under garments. As the tub came to its final splash, she turned the knob, compressing the running liquid. Sitting within, she leaned back and closed her eyes. After many moments of relaxation within the steaming water, she sat up, slowly lathering on a soapy substance, fragrant of a soft flower. "Well, this is new." * * * Appearing an half an hour later, Fate placed her latteraly worn clothes inside the drawr with all the others. They were beginning to expand throughout the drawr's bottom. Blinking, she shook her head and shut it. Entering the living quarters, she glanced down and tied the strings to her sweats. A deep sigh escaping her, she wandered into the kitchen for to start a pot of coffee. Running the water in the pot, she pulled out premade packets and placed them inside as well. With the flip of a switch, she walked back to the same room as Silver and sat on the couch's arm. Perhaps he would say something. "Click, click, click." The coffee pot ticked away, being the only noise to break the silence.

I heard her get into the bath and I knew I had a wait ahead of me, but the bath would probably be better for her to think. I slept for a while while I waited.

Hearing her leave the bath, I awoke and pondered what to do when she finally came over. Soon the smell of coffee came and I sighed at its heavenly smell. I hadn't had coffee too long ago, but it seemed like a million years. When she sat down beside me on the couch, I glanced over into her eyes. I didn't say anything. It was her turn now...no matter how long it took.
(I'm not talking here. I talked too much earlier. You turn.)

Her eyes were gray, but it was a soft innermost being. Swallowing, she got down on her knees. Placing her hands gently on Silver's chest, they rested a moment. She inhaled deeply, and pressed down firmly. A gentle red glow escaped from her fingertips, and into his body. Hopefully, that would heal the cuts and most visible wounds. The bruises and broken parts, if there were any, could not be fixed by her. Sighing, she then placed her hands on the cushions on each side of him. This was all she could muster. Between the clicking of the pot, and the depth of her emotions, Fate closed her eyes. I can't believe I'm about to do.. Without any more forethought, she leaned in and planted a deep, yet soft kiss unto his lonely lips. ..this. Instantly, her cheeks turned brilliantly crimson, and she broke back, placing one hand on her left cheek. "I..I..hope that answers..your questions." The pot began sputtering. "Excuse me.." She stood, but paused momentarily.

I was surprised when she put her hands on my chest. What is she do...! Some of the pain had gone away and I saw her hands glow red. She withdrew her hands and I stared at her.
I was about to thank her when I felt her lips. My eyes widened. My emotions took over and I saw her face go red. I couldn't see for a moment and my eyes clouded over. Yes...that certainly did answer my questions. "Thank you..." I whispered.
Then I drew from my pocket the silver necklace Jaden had given to me. I held it out to her and grimaced for a second from the pain of holding it. "This is what Jaden gave for me to keep safe for him. He said I was the only right person from the job. I didn't and still don't understand what he meant. I...I just wanted to let you know that." I still held out the necklace to her.

"..You're certainly welcome." Biting her lip softly, a glistening fang poking out, she swallowed again. Cottonmouth, lovely. Blinking in puzzlement, she admired the pendant. Taking the end of it in her palm and stroking it with her index finger, she nodded. Suddenly, something clicked. An idea went off in her mind like an atomic bomb. That necklace had belonged to Jaden's lady love once before. Fate understood why he'd ask Silver to be its caretaker for now. Acting as if she'd never seen it before, as not to complicate things, Fate stood. "I see. It's very beautiful. You should feel honored, Silver." Smiling out the side of her lips, she turned. "Put it away. That must be uncomfortable for you." Opening the cabinet in the kitchen, she pulled out two coffee mugs. Pouring herself a cup, she asked Silver, "Would you like one, too?"
