"No, no..." Hikaru spoke softly, gesturing with one hand to the fountain. "I don't know if it has an owner at all," he continued thoughtfully, looking around the massive garden. Surely this place was open to everybody equally. It's not off limits, after all... he shrugged at the thought, offering the other boy a smile.

"Oh! Well then." He smiled back as he placed a hand back into the water. He sighed, happily, resting his chin on the other hand, elbow on the edge of the fountain. "That's so nice...."

"Your... fingers like to take a dip?" Hikaru questioned with a chuckle, watching the other. To Hikaru, this place was fascinating, full of such interesting people, and this new person was no exception.

"Hm?" Mele lifted his eyes, looking at Hikaru. He looked back at his fingers, then laughed. "Oh, no. Well, yes, but, that's not the reason. I'm just a bit thirsty. And this water...It's very good."

"Thirsty?" Hikaru questioned. "But you're not... drinking... it... or are you?" he asked, his eyes becoming wider at the thought. That was peculiar! But at the same time, he was very curious and fascinated. He watched Mele with wide eyes, waiting for his reply.

Mele blinked, then smiled. Oh, right. Humans usually drank water, not absorbed it...
"I am. Just not in the way that humans do." He pulled his fingers out of the water, feeling quiet full, and dried his hand off on his pants before pulling his glove back on.

"THAT IS SO AWESOME!" Hikaru rather cried, jumping to his feet. "What's your name?" he asked, attempting to be more calm as he shifted his weight between feet, looking at the other with utmost interest in his eyes.

Mele jumped slightly when Hikaru yelled, but quickly composed himself. "Well I call myself Mele...Mele Palama in the western style. In the past I've been called sakura, though...You know, cherry blossoms" He stood, bowing as he adjusted his coat. "But that name doesn't really suit me, I think. So, Mele."

"Sakura-kun~" Hikaru sighed, finally speaking his native language, if only just for a moment. "You think it doesn't suit you? Mele is nice, too, though." He watched the ... tree, his smile and interest unwavering.

"Well...I've never met a boy named Sakura." Mele laughed. "It's just a fluke that I preferred a male form to a female one." He shrugged, then smiled. "What's your name?"

"Tsukino Hikaru desu~" the boy purred his reply, doing a rather flamboyant bow before grinning to the other. "Assumed a male form, hm? Did you have a choice?" he questioned, his curiosity growing the more Mele spoke.

"It's nice to meet you, Tsukino Hikaru," Mele grinned. "And I did have a choice, but....Well, this just seemed better." He looked down at himself, then ran his hands over the sides of his head, over the hair that wasn't sticking up.
