"You are welcome. It was no trouble at all." Marcus grinned lopsidedly and shut the door behind them. "You know that the wench you are know was only itching to escape all this time."

Terryn lowered her voice to a whisper, leaning in close to his ear. "Yes, but it only came out because you wanted it so badly." She grinned and kissed him on the cheek before straightening and walking off briskly.

"True enough." Marcus followed her, still grinning and looking madly arrogant. "But I daresay that you are grateful for it." They were in the coach now, and Marcus gave her a truly wicked look. "I think that Chester could back me up on that."

Terryn opened her mouth to speak, but found that smacking him on the shoulder and simultaneously pulling him to her for akiss would better express her reaction.

Marcus laughed. "I told you," he said, still unbearably smug. And as the coach started moving forwards once more, he tugged Terryn back to him.

They spent most of the ride that way, prying themselves apart only when the coach came to a halt. "Must we get out? There are people outside."

"Unfortunately, yes." Marcus looked out the curtain. The people were few, and almost completely made up of young women. "Must I go with you, though? The only man standing outside must be at least 70."

"Even better. I can show you off." Terryn kissed him on the forehead and pulled him from the coach, nearly stumbling on the street as she stepped down.

"And this is when you're sober?" Marcus mumbled in a low voice, giving Terryn a quick smirk. "Alright, alright." He took her hand before she smacked him again. "Let's go."

The unfortunate thing about Greece was that everything was in Greek. She had insisted on finding the apothecary herself without the translational help of Marcus, but it took a good ten minutes before she was able to deduce that the bottles on one side must be for potions and remedies. "This is it."

"All of this?" Marcus raised his eyebrows. There were dozens and dozens of bottles and a suspicious looking group of little sacks. There were herbs in them, no doubt. He looked at the Greek scratchings on one of the bottles and in a few minutes, began to nod. "Are you supposed to make a tea of it?"

"I...I do not know." Terryn glanced through the shelves another time, not feeling to confident. "I think we should ask." She approached the front table, which was currently unoccupied. "Oh no...look." She pointed up above the table where a wooden crucifix was nailed to the wall. "He is Catholic...he probably does not sell these sorts of things."

Marcus looked up, dismayed. "And he would not tell us where we could find them." He looked worried. Suppose they couldn't find any place that sold contraceptives. Terryn would almost certainly fend off Marcus until they could. And there was no telling when that was.

Terryn frowned, not liking that particular truth. "What do we do now? There is no way I am going to go around asking local women for suggestions."

Marcus glanced up. "Yes, of course..." There was a sinking feeling in his stomache. "Perhaps just one woman?" he asked hopefully.
