Yeah we have a huge band but only one Tenor. me

you only NEED one tenor. two tenors is unnecessary, it's just nice to have two...but you don't NEED two

Dude the band has only 300 people in it

Does the band have 100 flutes and 100 clarinets or something?
It's hard to fathom why a band with 300 members only has one Tenor sax in it.

lol...such nice, round, even numbers. i call BS razz

you have 45 oboes? 45 saxes? and..tenor sax is included in "everything else" so you know smile so, you must not be the only one after all. 45 tubas?...lol you're such a liar...this reminds me of dane cook's spiel on liars...once they get caught in a lie, they lie to get out of it smile seems to describe perfectly what you're doing

i started the clarinet in fifth grade. sixth grade i switched to alto sax. i now play tenor sax because Mrs. Fullerton(band director)needed another player for the spring concert. we have three tenor sax players in our band. both other players are boys and my friends. the spring concert is very soon, and after i will be staying with the tenor, but Matt(another tenor player)will be switching to bari next year. crying
Mrs. Fullerton asked me to be in Jazz Band(you have to be individually invited)but it is almost the end of the year so i will be in Jazz Band next year. 3nodding
I am a fully dedicated band student. when i am older, i hope to become a tenor sax musician.
we just had the Memorial Day Parade today. It started at 12:00 pm today. it was really hot and i was really dehydrated. but it was fun.

Yo, I play tenor sax in beggining band. I been playing since around september, 2008 and im having problems with some notes. =[

When i try to hit high notes (and some low notes) it either squeaks or it sounds wierd. The only notes i can really play is when i dont have to use the octave key. I dont know if somethings wrong with me or my sax.

The sax is NOT mine its the schools and i use RICO reeds size 3 and my mouthpiece is size 3. Help?

ok try positioning the mouth piece differently on the neck. that has happened to me before. i had no idea what was going on, so i tried to fix it. i kept moving around the neck piece, and voila. it worked. also, the reason it might sound weird is because it might either be flat or sharp. arrange the mouth piece. ;D

Ya I play alto saxaphone. I love saxaphones becasue they are like the middle instrument. They can go low, and high. They also have good sound smile .
