Some can and will resist. *She giggled and turned her attentions back to the bottle.* Why don't you pay attention to the minions you have, instead of trying to suck dry every male that makes his way through your estate? gelalshawr "Gatz is half right Aonice, but the point is more that Souls were only granted to mortals, because an immortal with a soul would be a dangerous creature indeed, with unlimited time an immortal can accomplish many things, and they have a great deal of power, but all beings of power have rules that govern them. Not so a creature with a soul, for the soul grants us free will, the power to do anything, with no limitations upon us but our own minds. I am not immortal, my body will not age, at least not in the forseeable future, but I can be killed, and quite easily. An immortal with a soul would be unstoppable. so the gods have never allowed such to come to pass." Gel waved at the newcomer and sipped his tea. Morrigan sighed. Still under dare, she was obligated to express her thoughts aloud. ... Unless she just didn't want to think about it. The whole concept of religion and higher beings annoyed her, mostly because 90% of the time, people were wrong. "Aonice, let's take this time to start our fifteen minutes in the closet, shall we?" "I never said it was easy, but the most difficult part about dealing with a succubus... or incubus for that matter, is realizing that you can deny them, most people just don't know it's possible. Which is the way I'm sure you would prefer it to remain."

Quint snorted air out of his nose, huffing. Sure, he would have probably been killed had he gone in instead of Aonice, but dammit he wanted to do it. But then again...
He shuddered, thinking of the last time he was alone with the succubus, nearly having his life - soul - stripped away from him, even though the reason he was alone with her wasn't for sex.
So Quint reasoned with himself that it was for the best, maybe he shouldn't mess with her...when she was thirsty.
He laughed, watching the timer.
