[I blew on it, pushed it down, something cracked and it's fixed now!...]

TIME...SKIP...IN...SPACE!!

It had been exactly 4 days, 47 minutes, and 28 seconds since the Atlantis, with the Pyresian ship sailing beside it, left the Sentenial System and continued their journey to locate and capture the Starship Jupiter. Damien's body had been put in a hyperbolic chamber and sent off into space, which was the usual funeral customs of this time. Everyone wore black. It was a very sad day.

Since then, life was getting some-what back to normal except for the fact that it was slightly more boring now that Jad was on the other ship. Occasionally, people would board his ship so he wouldn't become too lonely and they always came back, kissing the floor of the Atlantis.

With the help of Jad's memory and the Atlantis' advanced computer, the crew were able to locate the supposed position of the Jupiter. It was disguised as a gas planet, which ment that if the calculations were incorrect, and it was just a gas planet and not the ship, an escape would be dangerous with the planet's powerful gavitational force. Hopefully that wouldn't be the case. But Jad seemed quite certain that it was the ship he was looking for, so both ships headed in that direction.

Nina was still unable to find Ion. If anyone remembers, she'd been searching for him before going to the Sentenial system after Jad. With a ship as large as the Atlantis, it would be easy to get lost. Everyone else continued their own jobs and it was oddly quiet around the ship for those 4 days. Soon they got close enough that they could see the Jupiter in the distance.

Meanwhile...
Mariel and Nolan had made it to the Atlantis' last tagged location, outside the Sentenial System, but they were too late. The ship had already left. But the two of them picked up a trail left behind by the massive ships and followed it at maximum speed. It would be maybe another day before they could catch up.

(sweet!)

Dr. Len worked in his new 'lab' now rejoined by Ren, Rin, and Miku as they worked on Project T, the harness that had catapulted them into the Atlantis. Their goal to make this new drive for replacing the Atlantis' current one to match Jad's ship.

---

Kaito had been exploring the ship he'd spent his Sentinel career working to enter. The ship was empty white halls with polished black floors. each room held a comfortable suite, but the overall nature of this ship seemed... uncomfortable. It was like a vacation in some kind of ritzy Hotel you knew you should never afford. It felt out of place...

((Let everyone know that SPI ALWAYS uses ellipses. They define him. XD))

Nolan frowned as he stared at Mariel's minimal library stock. He'd already read each of the twenty four books... three times each. "Why don't you carry a full-sized library, Mariel? I would."

Meanwhile, on the Atlantis...

Blake was still abed; while his wound wasn't fatal, he would still need some serious medical skin transfusion - possibly even some artificial skin implants - in order to return to a completely healthy position. It was even foreseeable - just a tiny, tiny possibility - that he would have to take enough artificiality to classify himself as a cyborg. Hopefully, that would not be the case.

Both Marth and Maggie were completely revived and revitalized by the end of the second day. But neither acted very much like themselves, although each for their own, different reason.

Neither seemed to be injured in any fashion in the slightest, and it was strange how, upon arriving back on the Atlantis, a random crew member was found dead, squished in the hallway. Means of death are unknown, actually.

((This is true - I posted this event happening prior to Maggie's jump to the planet.))

Matt and Kryxel (or just Matt, if Kryxel gave up on him) continued his training, becoming not in the least adept at fighting, but at least now Matt didn't hit himself every other attack.

Little John, at least in virtual form, was no match for him anymore.

Things had gone a bit unexpected for Vexis, the FTL warp drive had exhausted all the ship's fuel before even reaching Syberius. So she had to improvise a little, she abandoned the weak little ship, and instead used her intangibility to jump to various other ships and gradually made her way closer. Finally, after a much longer trip than it should have been originally, she arrived in a city on Syberius called "Imparsa."

Vexis foolishly left the town right upon arrival, not even bothering to change into a warmer outfit (Who has common sense, anyway? Its sooo uncool to actually think, don't you know!). The tall snowbanks flooded over what should be the road, no matter which direction Vexis would head towards -this was going to be one tough and cold trip. Vexis felt strangely vulnerable in this place, not only was her intangibility taken away by the cold climate around her, but the expansive, flat fields of nothing but bright white snow and small hills -with no signs of life anywhere- made everything seem dead and empty. Vexis gradually started feeling colder and colder, until she was almost completely numb, her pace slowing down the longer she walked on -from both fatigue and loss of body heat. 'I-It never used to be THIS freaking cold here...Syberius even had non-snowy areas at o-one time...' Vexis briefly looked back at where she came from, nothing but more empty expanses of snow, the city had long ago disappeared from her sight. She turned her attention back to in front of her, continuing her long journey. Vexis was unaware of the danger she was in currently, several Mutants started popping up out of the snow behind her, their stealthiness helped them get very close to her without her realizing. Vexis finally stopped in her tracks, she subconsciously sensed something behind her. She turned around cautiously, only to find about ten little Mutants getting ready to attack. "Wha...WHAT THE HELL ARE THOSE!?!?!" Vexis uttered a scream of alarm, but instantly shut up when one of the creatures bit into her leg, injecting poisonous venom into her bloodstream. She backed up a bit, dazed and dizzy from the poison, she finally fell back into the deep snowbanks unconscious, the creatures seemed to run off after seeing something alarming in front of them.

The reason of the Mutants' leave stood right near Vexis, his yellow eyes gleamed with frustration and annoyance. Shade leaped after the enemies, cutting down as many as he could without having to chase them all the way to Imparsa. After creating a mess of monster guts, Shade headed back to Vexis, he sighed, then reluctantly picked up Vexis and carried her back to Exias. 'Another victim of those beasts...I wont let them claim any more than they already have.'

Vexis twitched and stirred occasionally, obviously still alive (though still unconscious). She awoke after a few minutes, disoriented when she realized she wasn't outside in the snow anymore. Vexis sat up from her spot on the carpeted floor, warmth emanated from the fireplace next to her. The room she was in was fairly small, it was dark except for the light coming from the fireplace, the walls were painted a deep green color, the sparse furniture included a small tan sofa, an oak coffee table and a single rocking chair. Vexis placed her hand over her forehead, confused on everything that had happened. 'What were those things? Where am I? What happened?'

Vexis's questions were soon (somewhat) answered after Gunther entered from the wooden door in the back of the room, though his odd appearance freaked her out a bit. "Oh, good, you're awake finally." He said, sitting down on the sofa, Vexis just stared at him for a long while. "Those Mutants are nasty little things, they can sneak up on you easily..." Gunther started gradually explaining things, his gaze focused on the flame in the fireplace -fire of any kind always seemed to have a soothing effect on him for some reason. "That venom should and would have killed you, though luckily for you, the scientists here at Exias have an antidote for that poison, you've been vaccinated for it now."

Vexis watched Gunther carefully, not out of caution, but merely out of curiosity. "Oh..." Was the one word she could manage to speak at first, but gradually got added to after thinking up what to say. "...Might I ask where we are? And who are you...? I'm Vexis..."

Gunther glanced down at Vexis now, her curiosity was visible -but it wasn't about where she was, it was about him. "I'm Shade, I'm an experiment of this lab...I'm their puppet, basically." He stood up and walked over to the door, pressing a little switch on the wall. The room around them gradually faded, changing to a completely empty, white room. "Holographic rooms...quite handy at times, but a pain in the butt when they're malfunctioning...anyway, if you want to see the rest of this place you can come with me for a bit..." Gunther offered, he was being surprisingly social to Vexis -normally hes just a quiet and grumpy nuisance to visitors.

((Hm... I have a pretty cool idea, actually. I'll PM you about it, Hiddochi.))

Maggie sat on a simple stool, staring out at the vast expanse that was space. A spider crawled across her view. She crushed it.

How long was it that she'd been sitting there? Hours, no doubt. Every few minutes, Maggie began to feel her mind drawing within itself - she needed time to reflect about some things - time to think. But every time, she shook herself and came back to the present around her. It wasn't easy to not think about important things when you were alone.

However, she was afraid that if she withdrew too far into her mind - she would encounter the Truth again. It was a horrible experience - at first, a reverie of wonder and amazement - then bitter anger and disappointment, if relief, to have avoided the fate. And then, after that, her annoyance turned into pain. Vast, furious pain. As if a living entity inside her had sought that release, too, only to be enraged beyond imagination when its relinquishment was postponed.

Postponed? Was it really just... postponed? Inevitable? Irrefutable, unavoidable happenstance?

No.

No.

No, it couldn't be. Such a monster... Maggie was barely conscious for what it had done, but the little she had witnessed was more than enough to frighten her out of her reverie. Her wonder, her sense of fascination was now a repugnant macabre of dread and apprehension.

A vision filled her head.

Devvri and Keth both huddled behind a large boulder for cover. The sharp, piercing cries of hundreds of laser blasters tore at their ears, even as the actual laser blasts tore at the edges of the rock keeping them alive.

Keth was sitting on his butt, leaning against the rock, exhausted. Devvri was half-crouched - strands of hair hanging down her sweat- and blood-soaked forehead.

"They... can they just keep coming?" Keth asked between breaths. Devvri, determined and grim, shook her head, flinging her hair out and drawing in a small breeze - which felt enormously beneficial to her.

"We've whittled them down, Keth. Just wait for the rest of us to get into position" Devvri held her crystal blade up near her shoulder, the sharp end pointed straight up, in readiness to swing or block should anyone dart around the curved corner of the boulder.

"Let's just wait," Devvri continued, "it won't be long now. Jansen won't fail us...."

(( ninja *ninja-ness*))

Vexis nodded immediately upon Shade's offer, she jumped to her feet, unsteady at first, but she regained her balance quickly. She followed after the shadowy man, still wondering what he was. But Vexis focused her attention back onto where she was. This hallway seemed to lead to many of the bigger lab rooms, the black metallic walls and floor were brightly lit up by the little bluish lights implanted into them. This place obviously wasn't associated with Sentinel in any way, the other people, experiments, and scientists were too kind and relaxed looking compared to everyone in Sentinel -and there were no killer robots here. Vexis glanced back at Shade now, walking a little bit faster now so that she could be directly next to him. "So uhm....what exactly are you? If you don't mind my asking, that is..."

Gunther didn't bother to look at Vexis as she spoke, instead he just stared ahead. "I'm a variety of things, I was originally human, but they started these experiments on me, infusing different DNA from other species into me, it gradually started to alter my structure and appearance...mutating me into this..." He stopped in the hallway all of a sudden, Vexis skidded to a stop as well and headed back towards him. "You're a Synith, correct? I have some Synith traits and abilities to me, I can turn intangible as well, only for a brief amount of time, however..." Gunther demonstrated by turning to mist, his misty cloud was a dark grayish-black color, though. He re-solidified a moment later, a bit struggled at first.

Victor rushed down the hallway, spotting Gunther first, and then Vexis next. "Hows she doing? Did the vaccination work?" He asked, not noticing Vexis immediately, he adjusted his glasses a bit, examining Vexis thoroughly. "Ah! You're awake now...good, I was afraid that Gunther didn't bring you here in time...had he been even 10 minutes later, you wouldn't have survived..."

That's why sometimes I think SPI is being rude when he's not o.o]

"I don't have much time to read books... I like to watch the screen... It entertains me enough." Mariel reached under her chair and pulled out a magazine, tossing it over her shoulder and just assuming Nolan would catch it. It was a teen magazine, so unless Nolan was interested in which teen celebrities were hot and which were not, he wouldn't be too interested but it was all she had. After a few minutes though there was a blip on the screen. "Perfect timing... The, um... Atlantis is only a few hundred miles away. We should be there in a few minutes... huh?" Mariel took a closer look at the stapmap. "They're right next to a huge planet. They can't land on that thing, it's gas! They'd die!" She scratched her head, pondering the possibilities as her ship got increasingly closer to the Atlantis.

Nina walked the hallways of her ship, mostly out of boredom when she came across the body of Ion on the floor. "Ion?" She picked up his body and took him to the intensive care ward, laying him on the bed. "I've been looking for you for days and when I finally find you, you're passed out on the floor..." She called for Dr. Len and waited until she saw Blake was in the same room. He was looking in rough shape, which made Nina sad. She walked over and stood beside Blake's bed. "How are you doing?"

(talking about me like I'm not here? tsk, tsk... I try my best to not be rude, Techni...)

Jad was having a bout of insanity when the signature of the new ship came up. He was singing "Don't worry, be happy" and having it blaring throughout his ship. as a result, Kaito now had a headache. When the robot tried to tell the Grand Admiral of the new arrival, he simply smiled and stopped singing, pulling a drink from his cupholder (It was actually a mileage counter, but none of the robots told him that...)

---

Shina was on the Atlantis, cleaning her ship. Jad's ship, in all honesty, seemed unnaturally clean. and white. No lived-in feel, and that creeped her out.

Atlantis had a warmth of life atmosphere. Jad's ship felt like a cold museum...

---

Dr. Len heard Nina call. he looked up, "Rin! Ren! go see what Nina wants."

The two robots bowed and left the room towards Nina.
