"Alright," Arlen said, giving Lily a squeeze. "I'll be right back." Carefully he climbed out of the bed and headed downstairs. "Cerri?" he called softly as he came downstairs.

"Hmm?" Cerri looked up from the window, smiling when she saw who it is. "Hey. Can I get you something?" she asked, standing and walking to the bar, not sure why else he'd have come down. "Did she drink her juice?"

Arlen nodded and walked over to hug himself to Cerri. "She can't see," he said, his voice cracking.

Cerri paused a moment, stunned and a bit anguished. She hugged Arlen tightly, running a hand over his back in soothing circles. "The bunny... went blind?" she whispered, a bit disbelieving. "But she was fine..."

"It's alright... we still have time." Cerri told him, trying to reassure him. "Until then... just help her out, I guess. Only, don't treat her like an invalid. I think she'd hate that as much as I do." She continued to rub his back, then turned her head to kiss his temple. "And if you need to cry, hon, go ahead and do it."
