Tokeru felt something wrong but chalked it up to the fact that he hadn't gotten any sleep since he came back. He smiled at the demon rhator and gently said.
"If you want to know, then you will have to defeat me." He taunted lightly. He didn't expect a fight with this demon today, he did expect a minor confrontation, but no full on fight. He sensed that neither of them were ready for it.
"Or you could always just ask nicely, with the magic word."

Hokaru Moneru ((Tokeru is not a demon. Remember, at this point he is uknown of the change that the battle with mephisto's souls has wraught in him. He is unaware of his darkening aura, I think that Rhator was just a bit confused as to what i was.)) ((Ah, sorry, just wondering. Allrighty ^_^ Oh! Hokaru, seeing as to your defection and such, i'm going to have to ask you to move your profile to the demon subforum...or wherever it is you may go, as i can't move your post singly, i'm going to have to delete it whenever you sort it out 3nodding Just in the manner of keeping up with the changes 3nodding Sorry to others for sticking this in an RP thread, i'll cut the OOC posts now.))

Liora frowned at Astande's reference to her as a 'hinderance', but she was also wise enough to admit that he was correct. Her current ammunition was inadequate due to her limited resources; she was certain that the Haven would be much more technologically advanced and exponentially more well-armed than she could ever hope to be without their assistance. No matter her intelligence, Liora knew she could not possibly compete with the minds of several seasoned hunters focusing on producing the best possible equipment for their cause.
As for his reference to her 'aura concealing' capabilities, she decided that 'well enough' was a positive response. As a human, Liora was able to figure out anything with enough given time. Logic puzzles, brain teasers, and the lot fell prey to her hungry mind, and when her focus had turned to preparing herself to be a hunter, she devoured all the lore, fighting techniques, and weapon information she could. Virtuosos in any ability were virtually nonexistant; there were only those whom put forth enough effort to perfect an ability quickly, and those who were too indifferent in their abilites to pursue them whole-heartedly. Liora was the former.
Seeing Astande on the move, Liora siezed the rather confused Albert by the arm and dragged him after her and Astande. Little thought was necessary to take stock of their situation. From what she gathered, two seasoned hunters had taken on the Oni previously but had been unable to completely be rid of it. That information alone was enough to concern Liora. She did not doubt her fighting abilities, but she knew that this Oni was unlike the minor demons, vampires, and lycans she'd faced previously. Her petty weaponry would only piss it off as she'd concluded earlier. Liora kept up with Astande with ease and focused on keeping her aura concealed as much as possible. Her lycan blood apparently understood the situation as well, for her instincts proved to be more obedient than usual.

"I will not grovel for information. I came here for a purpose, and that purpose will be seen through to the end. Your challenge is heard and accepted. DEFEND YOURSELF!"
Rhator thrust a wing towards the man's face, using the feathers as cover for the uppercut that was heading for the man's gut. Rhator would end this battle quickly, he needed to find that hunter. His aura lashed outward, brightening, before retracting back into his body to be used for the fight.

He moves very quickly, using the alleyways and non-aerial paths as much as he could for the sake of the human, searching out one of the hidden entrances that was scattered around the Hunter-quarter's many paths. He shies away from the main entrance, noting that the demon's last presence was conceived as strongest in the immediate area of the nightclub...

Quickly, she had grown tired of the demon. Giving him a cocky sort of wave, she dropped from the side of the building, free falling 5 stories to the ground below, where she landed gracefully. Cracking several of her joints as she stood once more, she casually walked out of the alleyway in which she had dropped, her walk smooth and confident as she headed back towards Haven. She might be able to find Astande there.

Tokeru just decided to avoid both hits, he swiftly moved backwards. Avoiding the wing, and the uppercutting arm.
"That the best you can do?" He taunted, inviting the demon into another swing.

Albert followed painfully along with Liora. Gripped by his arm, he had no choice but soften the blows for each uneasy landing he suffered. He grunted a few times, but he felt that he was hardly in a position to talk back for the moment. His jumps had to exceed those of Liora's lycanthropical strength. He was no super human, but he was incredibly well versed in the Martial Arts.

He taunted, inviting the demon into another swing. Rhator, restraining himself from the urge to kick this hunter's a**, sensed something many yards away. It was a lycan and human, both scared and running with another person who's aura was indistinguishable.
"You are not my prey tonight."
Rhator leapt off of the building, diving 15 feet straight down before opening his wings, unfurling them like great rolled pieces of cloth. He hurtled like a bullet in the direction of the near-hidden auras.

Tokeru sighed, it seemed no one wanted to fight tonight. He would have to make the first move, it seemed no one wanted to be provoked. He decided it would have to wait untill the next day and retire.
((Goodnight y'all))

Skiaska nodded, slightly shaken by the demon. She had seen a creature like him in ancient books, a specific one in Egypt. "He hides his forms in vanity, malcie disguised as friendship. Any form known to a mortal or immortal eye shall bend at his will." Ski followed Sethe, smilign slgihtly at the 'mate' comment.

The skirt of Liora's crimson dress flapped frantically around her legs as she sprinted, and the metallic surfaces of the weapons holstered on either thigh flashed repeatedly through the slit in her dress as she ran. The heels of her shoes rung clearly, and she cursed their equine clip-clop sounds, and not for the first time. Had she known exactly what she might 've been facing, Liora would have not only packed her 'big' gun (which was only a small improvement over her revolver in the grand perspective of things), but she also would have donned her usual hunting-attire. The dress was usually reserved for her simpler missions. Of course, according to Murphy's law, the missions that she wore her dress for would most likely always turn out for the worst. Fortunately, it seemed that she, Albert, and Astande were successfully evading the demon thus far. She'd sensed the flare in his presence earlier, and Liora knew it would be much more intense should her layer of 'aura buffering' be dismantled. The reason behind the flare she could not grasp, but Liora hoped that it did not represent the demon becoming aware of their presence. She'd like to have even bigger guns before encountering that Oni. Then, she'd be ready to face it alongside her new allies and engulf herself in the thrill of unadulterated combat.
"I'm assuming the enterance is hidden, else I would have found it on my own by now." she spoke softly, knowing that Astande would hear her. She did not voice the the true question lurking beneath her comment, for Liora wished to avoid sounding like the whiny child in the back seat questioning how close they were to their destination. She spoke mainly out of concern for the human. Though the human was performing exceedingly well, she felt Albert's awkward landings a few times and heard his labored grunts.
That was when she realized the aura was hurtling towards them like a bullet.
"Damn."

Dropping seemingly from nowhere behind them, she grinned slightly, "Well...good evening. New recruits Astande?" She grinned, a sort of mischievious glint in her crimson eyes. However, before she spoke any further, she turned, tilting her head slightly. She could sense the aura coming towards them at an incredible speed. "God damn, this guy wont die..." she muttered, shrugging slightly as she couldnt help the subtle smile that crept across her lips, revealing her pearly fangs which glemed softly in the light.

Rhator weaved through alleyways, and main streets. His winged form closing the gap between the trio quickly. He turned another corner and saw the back edge of a boot slip down an alleyway. He cut the corner hard and could see the retreating backs of the three hunter's. One was unmistakebly the hunter from before. Abruptly another person joined them. It was the vampiress from before. Another person on his death list.
No one steals from me and gets away with it. NO ONE!
