Rhator sat on a rooftop the last place he had seen that hunter who took his spear. He was waiting for that damned hunter's aura to return. He would make him pay for his theft. He sat on an old Monastery, looking like a lone gargoyle watching the holy ground twenty-five feet down. His hardened fingernails gripped the stone walls, cracking the concrete.
He was pissed. He didn't even care that his aura flowed freely, covering a range of 20 square blocks with a light red tinge. The immortal's in the vicinity could surely sense it, he wanted them to come. His new trinket would certainly give them a surprise. His red armor gleamed in the moonlight, the missing pieces having been recreated and recently polished. His black feathered wings, now painted with all the symbols of the zodiac on the leading feathers, felt comfortable on his back.
He waited, growing ever more impatient and furious at the hunter that had taken his spear...

His smile is genuine as he accepts her Name, lightly bowing his head as he offers his own to the two new aqquaintances
"My Name Is Astande Le'Peur." With slight aknowledgement to the winged male's challenging actions... "I am known to those otherwise as, Astande "The Fear"..." He half-turns, looking out at the moonlit streets...he then turns back to the Human "And you?"

Albert glanced a little below Astande, he was kind of scared that he felt that he backstabbed someone he just met. He put the paper he was handed, into his bag and glanced back up to Astande,"My...My name is Albert... Albert Seraphe." He revealed his real name instead of his alias.

He nods, his composure regained and steady. He nods respectfully to him, indicating that they should be on their way... All of a sudden, his face darkens, his body tensing slightly...
"We should find my associate quickly...i don't have enough ammunition left to arm you both against them, we can do that when we reach the Armory in haven...but i beleive that Oni demon has just become a problem again...keep your Aura's low..." ((*Cough*, aren't HQ locations supposed to remain in secrecy Rhator?))

Liora matched Astande's smile with a warm smile of her own. Even though her lycan blood had once screamed for her to hate the vampire, Liora felt a sense of respect for this new acquaintance of hers. Perhaps she was simply too eager to make acquaintances, or perhaps this was an actual good omen in her life. Either way, Liora reminded herself not to share her trust too readily; trust was too precious a commodity to waste on those who she'd known for less than twenty-four hours.
"Well met, Astande." she replied to his greeting. "And I'm glad you've found us trustworthy enough to give your real name, Albert." She couldn't blame the kid; she'd introduced herself to him as 'Li' in what felt like just moments ago.
Her golden gaze then shifted to the retreated form of Tokeru. Feather had ironically been concerned that Tokeru was angry with him earlier, but now it appeared that it was Liora whom Tokeru was displeased with. She noted his blatant ignorance of her with a grim smile. Granted, she'd been less than approving of his tactics, but Liora thought it would be wise to stay firmly on the good side of her new acquiantances until she had forged sturdy alliances with other members at the Haven. These would take time to create, and Liora knew that creating enemies was a process that took much less time. The last thing she needed right now was enemies at the Haven; according to her logic, her race and previous coy behavior would still raise suspicion at the NYHG. Despite Astande's presence, her naivity on the subject remained if only because of her own prejudice against herself.
From the retreating form of Tokeru, her gaze shifted to the streets of New York as well, unknowingly mirroring Astande's own glance from earlier. Her lycan senses had raised the warning flags in her mind yet again, but this time the presence was faint and distant. It was not an imminent threat to her knowledge, but upon hearing Astande's warning, she realized that it must belong to the Oni he was referring to. She unholstered her revolver, carefully exchanging the silver rounds in its cylinder for holy water rounds. She knew they would do little good, but they might be enough to piss the Oni off. Liora shrugged helplessly as she holstered the revolver as though she were admitting to the insufficiency of her weapons.
"Forgive me for revealing just how big a tyro I am, but would you care describing how I would go about 'concealing my aura?'" she asked him cautiously, not wanting to dampen his opinion of her. "You did it earlier, but I was too concerned about your motives to take notes on the technique." Her words were not without a sense of irony.

Tokeru was half way to the warehouse when he remembered something. He had forgotten his most important barganing tool, his sonic pulse mines. He berated himself for being so stupid and turned around. Heading towards haven.
Once there, he noticed a figure on top of a roof. He silently flew up to him. The figure was a demon, with wings not unlike his own, but more evil.
Tokeru reached out and tapped the demon on his shoulder. "Hello, Rhator, Enjoying the view."
How do I know his name?

He looks back at her, not seeming surprised. He immediatley removes a good deal of his outer projection via Prana Bindu concentration, relying on the self-pertaining awareness of Seinshinteki Kyoyo...
"Well, to be simple in the matter, it is only a practice of dulling your outer senses. You are simply buffering them to a point that the glow fades from your mind, and therefore your own is repealed as well. By non-awareness, you are manipulating the awareness of others...This does not mean forgoing your sense of awareness entirely, it simply means displacing a certain aspect of it..."

Liora listened to him intently, pursing her lips and nodding as she solemnly absorbed his words. After the briefest moment of deliberation, she attempted to go about 'concealing her aura'. As she understood it, Liora was to dampen her awareness of the oni's aura while not depleting it completely. It was similar to avoiding looking at one's prey while stalking it, or so she assumed. At first, Liora felt no change. Then, she decided to take a different approach and rely on the lycan blood flowing through her veins rather than her human logic. Lycans she knew to be natural hunters, so this 'aura concealment' was surely amongst their abilities. Liora furrowed her brow as she sought to clear her thoughts. She allowed her lycan instincts to roam freely through her mind, sifting through them until she was able to grasp the predatory reflex she was seeking. Liora was surprised to feel the Oni's presence become less of a 'glow' and more of a mere...what? She was not entirely sure that she completely grasped the technique, but Liora suspected that she was darned close. A bit more practice, and she might actually have it perfected.
"Is this good enough?" she asked, returning her golden gaze to Astande and flashing him a confident smile.

Rhator sensed the other demon's aura as he flew up to the monastery. He didn't appreciate being interupted when waiting for his prey though. "
"I am not enjoying the view, fellow Oni. I am waiting for a particular hunter who has something that belongs to me."
Rhator's death grip on the concrete relaxed slightly, his body still as tense as stone.

Tokeru could barely restrain his astonishment. Oni? Why would he call me that? He had no idea but decided to play along.
"Is it a spear by any chance? Perhaps your own? Maybe i should try to kill the hunter first, to take the weapon first." he joked to the demon.
"Of course, if you would want it back after that you would need to repay me somehow.... And you should know i have intimate knowledge of where the hunters are. Maybe you could use that knowledge."

May i ask why those rules were not read? neutral This is unspecified in his profile, as close as it comes to crossing the line as it stood...)) He smiles acceptingly "That is well enough for a first try. Once we reach Kerri, things will be a bit more secure. We can get you into haven with a bit more ease...I do not doubt your fighting capabilities, but you must understand that until you are properly breifed and equipped, you are something of a hinderance should we enter a battle with any demonic beings...they have been coming out more in force than normal, this being the main reason for my studies into their weaknesses. Holy water will work to a good extent, but it is not as effective as my new Biological Agent...i need to begin mass synthesising it ASAP...." With that, he begins heading towards Kerri, her link with him a constant guidance...he makes a mental call to her, pressing haste...

((Tokeru is not a demon. Remember, at this point he is uknown of the change that the battle with mephisto's souls has wraught in him. He is unaware of his darkening aura, I think that Rhator was just a bit confused as to what i was.))

Albert was a little confused, this talk of Auras were new to him. He didn't understand the concept of auras. Did Humans have Auras? What was an aura, essentially? Could they be the same aura he learned when he was learning Taoist magic? Albert had many questions.
"Um... What is an aura, exactly?" Albert said, trying not to sound oblivious.

((My fault, reading the recent posts I became confused because of his tainted aura from Mephisto. Man, I am really off the ball tonight. xp I also edited the post about Rhator's knowledge of the location of Haven.))
Rhator now read the man's aura perfectly. His pure human soul was tainted by a great demonic spirit. His confusion now recitified, Rhator growled in impatience.
An altered human, bearing a demonic spirit. This is an interesting case.
Rhator feigned ignorance, still letting the human believe that Rhator thought he was a demon.
"And how would you know such intimate information on the hunters, brethren. And yes my spear was taken from me. It is very valuable. I would be indebted if you retrieved it for me, but I think I may be able to get it on my own."
