After a long and delightful meal. After Z and Shino passed out, Summer went to rhe bathroom and Daryl and Locke were returned to their pokeballs Lyn decided it was time to ask Rusl for his permission concerning her taking Pepper with her. She released Pepper from her pokeball thinking this mght be a heart felt moment and Pepper may want to ask Rusl herself. Pepper reading her mind nodded and led Lyn to the kitchen. Rusl, wo was currently helping wash dishes, noticed them come in and stopped what he was doing. "Are you feeling better yet? I would love it if you could start working with us again. I missed you so much! Plus our cooking is nowhere near as good as yours." Rusl said as he hugged Pepper tightly. "I'm sorry but I've decided to go with Lyn and her friends. I have already created food from all the dreams in Vermillion Including many travelers. I want to travel around the country and maybe even the world so that I can taste all new flavors and increase my ability as a chef." Pepper projected into Lyn and Rusl's minds. " . . . Okay. But when you come back you must bring some amazing recipees with you." Rusl said hugging his friend even tighter.

"Finally!" Train stated as they came upon the next ladder. It led up to, thankfully, a place with some light.
"I'm really gonna need to get a Flash HM..." Train mumbled to herself, setting Pikachu down so he could walk again. The two headed onward.
Even though some people would have thought the silence eery, or the empty cave scary, Train pushed these feelings away to try and enjoy it. If she had to go through it multiple times, why bother being afraid every time? That was no way to enjoy the long adventure that had now become her life.
Speaking of adventures, this was great! Being able to go where she wanted, sleep under the stars or in the Pokemon Center, awsome! Train was grateful she had become a pokemon trainer.

Kurine thanked Nurse Joy as she recieved her pokemon, then headed back out. Maybe a quick trip to the Poke'Mart? Nah, why bother right now? They had only just begun. Though...
The trip had taken longer than Kurine had thought it would. The sun was begining to set, and she was feeling a bit tired. Guess she'd go back into the PokeCenter and spend the night.
Cyndaquil was still in his pokeball, so she didn't have to worry about that.
Nurse Joy was fine with having Kurine stay there a while. That was what the rooms were for, right?

When Tori woke from her slumber, she looked around hoping to see Kaji there when she woke. But, to her greatest fear, he had already left leaving here there alone. A hollow and empty feeling started to grow within her stomach, and she could feel tears starting to push their way to the surface. Her eyes and nose began to brun; she felt so alone. "Kiwi.." Tori turned to Kiwi who was standing there looking at her.
She couldn't hold herself together anymore. Tears started to fall from her cheeks and she pulled her knees so her chest, wrapping her arms around them. For a good while she sat there and cried like this. Soon, the tears dried up and she felt worse than she had before. But, ther was nothing she could do; he had already left with out saying a word.
"Pid..." Kiwi walked up to Tori and nuzzled her head against Tori's arm. Trying to tell her everything would be alright.
Gently, Tori ruffled Kiwi's feathers and pushed herself from the ground. "I guess this is it.. I am on my own from here on out, I guess he didn't want to travel together after all. Heh.." She ran a hand through her hair and took in a deep breath. "It's just you and me Kiwi."
"Gey!"
A soft smile came across Tori's lips, it was the best smile she could muster at the moment. "Alright, I think it's time we head out Kiwi." And with that, she pulled her bag over her shoulder and started to head away from the city. She had no idea where she wanted to go, for the past day she thought that she was going to travel with Kaji. But, when she woke up it was all thrown away.
'I wish.. He would have at least woke me up and told me that he wanted to go alone..'
She took in a deep breath to keep back the tears. Slowly, she walked towards Viridian Forest. If he had gone this way, she doubted that she would be able to find him.

Kurine yawned as she woke up. Then she grinned. It was close to morning, and now it was her second day as a pokemon trainer.
Cyndaquil's pokeball was in her backpack. Kurine walked over and picked up the backpack. Then she went outside, where she took out the pokeball and let Cyndaquil out.
"Cynda!" Cyndaquil said happily. Kurine got out a little case of pokemon food she had brought and let him eat some. She was to excited to be hungry herself. After Cyndaquil was done, she put the food back into her backpack and returned him to his pokeball. Then she headed for the path to Violet.
((Edit: Ack! I got confused with another RP and kept putting Charmander...-laughs nervously-))

Train was grateful when, after almost getting lost in Mt. Moon, she finally foudn the exit and was on the road again.
Train didn't see much on her way back to Pewter City. She stopped for a few minutes to watch a battle between a trainer with a Squirtle and a trainer with a Pidgey. The trainer with the Squirtle won. Train continued on.
Pewter was in sight before long, but Train decided to stop and rest before she went there. Maybe she'd run into a wild pokemon to do some more training, or something.
Train let out Ratata and let him run around with Pikachu for a little while. The two seemed to be getting along well.

"Well," Kasiya said brightly, still grinning as she turned from Maven to Ray, "the best way to learn about Gym Leaders and Gym Battles is by seeing it for yourself. You're more than welcome to come along with us if you want to," she nodded, sticking her hands into her vest pockets. She could see the outline of Vermilion Gym in the distance, but no electrical display. She wondered if her father was at the gym already. She motioned towards the group of people behind her as she started to walk, amazed at how easy it was to meet people and make new friends. She'd only known Linalee and Ray for a few minutes, but she liked them both already. Linalee seemed to be sweet and knowledgeable, and Ray had that odd quirk about him that made him seem quite interesting. She tossed a quick look back at Keegan, and smiled, hoping that her dad would approve of him, even if Keegan couldn't eke out a win against Vermilion's mighty gym leader.
She didn't really wait to see how many people would be following her, although she did know for a fact that Keegan and Maven would be in tow. She couldn't wait to have that rematch, and idle banter seemed to be doing nothing but slow her down. With that thought, she quickened her pace, her face beaming with an ever-growing smile as she came upon the gym she'd practically grown up in, and wasn't really surprised to see a young boy studying the little tree that was meant to obstruct trainers who weren't ready for Lt. Surge from entering the gym. On closer inspection, the boy looked familiar, but she couldn't place his name. She knew she'd seen him before, but what was his name? Mark...Max...Marty... She didn't want to embarrass herself by not knowing, so she smiled at him politely and pointed at the tree. "You need to have a Pokemon that knows Cut to get past that," she told him, but refrained from mentioning that in her younger years, she'd simply climbed over it each and every time she wanted in the gym. "Time for action, Seto!" the girl said eagerly, quickly holding up a Pokeball and releasing the sleek, beige Persian. "Let's introduce that wisp of a tree to your sharp claws. Use Cut, Seto!"
The Persian flicked his tail, not really pleased at such a trivial task, but did as he was told. With two quick swipes of his paws, the small tree fell, clearing the way for the group to pass by. Kasiya thanked her Pokemon, and scratched him behind the ears before recalling him, and she grinned at Mag once more as she skipped towards the gym's front doors.

Ray looked at Linalee's feet to avoid eye contact. "Sorry, I haven't heard of Gym Leaders. I just started being a trainer today, along with Flametail." His eyes opened wide, still looking at her feet. "Strongest trainers?"
He then heard Kasiya speak. His eyes looked over to Kasiya's feet. "Join you?" He seemed excited that someone would want him to join them. "Are you sure you want me to join?" He quickly followed her to the gym, still shocked someone wanted him to join them. "Wow!" He was amazed at Kasiya's Persian's attack. Ray continued to follow her as he whispered to Flametail, "Soon, we might be that strong."

Keegan was relatively quiet for the time being, as he felt he had nothing to add to the conversation at the moment. He walked along behind the group, looking up at the sky and trying to decide if he liked the salty sea air of Vermilion or not. While it was quite a change from Lavaridge's atmosphere, he decided rather quickly that it wasn't that bad, plus the scenery was nice too. He could see the glimmer of the ocean, and even though he couldn't stand to be around water, maybe he'd learn to tolerate it, for his sake anyways.
He watched Seto cut down the little tree, and he frowned, wondering if he'd ever need to cut down a tree in the same manner. He thought of how Apollo had used a controlled burn to singe the tree blocking their path to the Celadon Gym, and he figured that if he ever needed to, he'd do just that. Plus, he'd keep Althena on the ready, just in case of any stray sparks that could cause a problem.
He walked past Mag, eager to follow Kasiya into the gym. He couldn't wait to see what Vermilion's gym leader was like, as well as the type of Pokemon he used. He rubbed his hands together at the prospect of the chance for a new badge, and he took a deep breath as he stepped inside.

Train laughed as she watched Ratata playfully tackle Pikachu. The two rolled around wrestling for a minute, then ran over to Train as the stood up.
"Alright guys, lets set up a little camp, ok? The trip through Mt. Moon took awhile, and now it's night. So we're gonna get some sleep. We'll head out again in the morning." Train said to them as she led them into the woods. Ratata couldn't understand Train yet, but Pikachu knew what she meant.
Shortly after, a small fire was burning, and Train was lying on a sleeping bag. Ratata was curled up, already asleep, but Pikachu was sitting by the fire, warming his hands. Train giggled a bit at that.
*----------*----------*
Sunlight streamed through the forest as the sun burned brightly in the sky. Train rubbed the sleep out of her eyes and yawned, sitting up. The fire had gone out. Train stomped it out completly as she had done to the other one, then dropped some sand on it, just in case. Pikachu and Ratata were awake, and were now looking at Train. She just smiled.

Cyndaquil was back in his pokeball as Kurine walked out of Cherrygrove and onto the path that led to Violet. She knew this would take longer than it had been to just get to Cherrygrove, so she didn't want to tire Cyndaquil out in case they came upon any wild pokemon.
Kurine enjoyed seeing all the trees around the path. It was cool to see all this new stuff, even if she'd see stuff like that everyday. But each part of the path was different, in a way.
She kept a small smile as she walked, and passed a few trainers. Some were battling wild pokemon, some were battling each other, and others were just hanging out. Kurine shouldered her backpack.

Mag noticed the group coming over but didn't quite see who was in it till they were closer. At that point he was leaning against the wall deciding on whether he would "play by the rules" and get this TM he needed or just take the shortcut and burn it to smitherines. He recognized the girl that was leading the pack slightly since the two had met briefly at the Cherry Blossom festival but he didn't know her that well. "Nice." He commented as the tree was soon gone.
"Oh hello there Linalee, I didn't notice you there!" Mag said once he realized who else was with the group. "Oh hey there Mag. Finally found ya. Apparently these people are going to be battling the Gym Leader, we can watch them and then you'll know what to do for your gym match." Linalee commented wisely. The group continued on to the door.

Maven needed no prompting and followed Kasiya as she put Phyra away as they were in town.
Through the trip towards the gym Maven didn't say anything at all. She had always just past through Vermillion and never really paid attention to the town. Gym battles weren't her thing normally but after watching Kasiya she seemed to have gotten a thrill out of them. She couldn't wait to see her new friend in action. My new friend. That still sounds weird to say, or hear myself think anyways. However it's quite the nice feeling. Maven could only give a soft smile to herself as she looked at Kasiya. Maven enjoyed the smell of the water as it invaded her nostrils and enjoyed seeing the sights of this town as they continued their trek.
She watched as Seto finished the task of cutting down the tree and kept her head down slightly. She nodded politely at the guy who was standing in the area. She looked back over towards the boy who called himself Ray and gave a shy smile as she continued to follow Kasiya.

Twinkers and Allie searched further in the gloomy attic. Allie scouted ahead somewhat due to her quickness and boundless energy. They seemed to have made great progress - the attic seemed to be gloomier and more foreboding as they continued their adventure. Thats always a good sign if you are treasure hunting.
Then Allie spotted it - a faint golden glow from up ahead. "Treasure!" squealed the Skitty and she dashed forwards to claim it in name of the duo.
"Not so fast" replied the small Cleffa, "Maybe we should be a bit more careful." Twinkers was struggling to keep up with her fellow pink Pokemon and failing.
Unnoticed by either Pokemon angry red eyes glared at them from higher in the rafters, prooving Twinkers words to be true ...

"My name is Steffi.." Steffi said to the unfamiliar girl.
"I'm Claire." the girl replied. She roughly squeezed Steffi's hand and shook it brutally. "Lets begin, shall we?"
Steffi could only nod as Claire flung out a pokeball carellesly and shouted out,
"Go, Rattata!!" A rather fierce looking and strong mouse typed pokemon emerged. Steffi gulped. She looked towards Sparky, grinning at her feet. The Pikachu twitched his ear, and snarled at the Rattata.
"Go, SPARKY!" Steffi shouted as the Pikachu sprung towards the Rattata. The two glared at each other, Sparky's cheeks twitching with electricity.
"Rattata, quick attack!" Claire commanded. The rattata sprinted in a frenzy and attacked Sparky, knocking him to the ground.
"Hey!" Steffi shouted. "That wasn't very nice!" Claire stared at her, dumbstruck.
"Its a pokemon battle you know. People don't go all nice and easy on each other. You're such a silly little girl." Claire spat at Steffi.
Steffi felt really upset. The sight of her dearest Sparky on the ground made her heart melt with fury. Claire would have to pay.
"Come on Sparky! You can do it!" she beckonned. "Do it for me! Stand up!" miraculously, the almost fainted pikachu stood up, eyes flaming with anger. "Now, Thundershock!!!" Steffi shouted.
Sparky let out a massive bolt of electricity, and aimed it towards the rattata. It tried to dodge it, but the bolt was so large that it struck the rattata right on the mark. The grass beneath their feet trembled as the voltage made them stand on end. Pikachu stood, gasping for air. The rattata fainted and dropped to the floor. Steffi couldn't believe it. She picked up Sparky and screamed with joy.
"You did it my baby!" she hugged the pikachu compassionately as Claire retreated rattata and walked away, not saying a word. Steffi just smiled behind her. "Lets go clean you up,"she whispered to Sparky and snuggled him.
