I miss Tallarn.
They will get more FW love in the future, along with two other as of yet undisclosed Imperial Guard regiments. Methinks that one of them will be the Savlar Chem Dogs and the other the Minervan tank legions.

We need some form of Penal Legion again!

I'm hoping for explosive vests and collars, but we can't win 'em all sadly. sad

Do tell me more of these... Penal Legions.

I'm quite interested in the old days of Second Edition and farther back.

You know what? I really like Ogryns from a stategic standpoint, but call me a fool, for I won't field them for the way they look. Can anyone think of something else that could substitute in for them, such as a heavily armoured human of some sort.

One idea I had is to buy some Kasrkins and greenstuff some more armour on to them in order to bulk them up some. I dunno. I need to be able to get something representative of an Ogryns close combat efectiveness (though perhaps not nessecarily the same brute strength) and something that'd be able to absorb a number of shots, or at least have some way of avoiding them.

Perhaps I could have some sort of stealth unit in their place, or a Death Cult model to show the graceful dance of death that could be equivilant. Maybe I could even put three charging Death Korps on one large base and call them a close combat platoon. xp

Anyway, any ideas or suggestions that you all could give would be great. 3nodding

You could always convert some of the Ogre Kingdoms models into ogryns, I've seen some rather good ones.

I agree. If you want bigger, better ogryns, go ogre.

That's the problem, I don't want Ogres or anything that looks like them. I'm trying to stray away from the large bulking brute, but still have something that could use the same statistics. confused

Ah. Hmmm, ork nobs might work. You'd have to convert them, but they aren't overly large (say, warboss size), but they are bulky enough to look the part.

........ stare

Bulky = bad

I wanted something that wasn't bulky, but could fit the statlines due to other means, such as advanced armour or eing incredibly agile, or something that like. I'm not making converted Ogryns.

Exo armour. And I'm not talking about no shitty Squat armour either. Build an exo armour suit with one arm sporting a ripper gun and the other a combat implement of sorts.
