Elsa couldn't help but smile a little. "It was about ten years ago. I was ten, Rin was seven. We had been on the streets for about two years...or somewhere around that amount of time. I thought we would get more money if we stole people's wallets." she said with a small laugh. "Daniel was the first person we stole from. And we weren't very good at it either. We didn't think that he would have a chain on his wallet and when he turned around we ran for the nearest alley. He followed us and gave us all the money in his wallet anyways." Elsa wrapped the rest of her burger, saving it for a little later. "He offered us to stay with him." Elsa took out her water pistol and shot a stream of water at the ground to show it wasn't real. "I was so skeptical of him, I didn't trust him at all. So he gave me this water gun."

"You were really lucky. If you stole from someone else, that person might not have been so nice," Cherry said with a smile. "The situation does sound kinda creepy, though. I mean, when you hear about an old man offering to take some little girls home, you would immediately think he was a *****. I'm guessing that was sort of the first impression you got?" She had to laugh a little at the possible first impression. It wasn't every day that an old guy didn't have ulterior motives for anyone. "Did you ever try to hide your ears from him? I know I'm asking a lot of questions, but your life story is really interesting, if not inspiring."

Elsa was starting to get a little annoyed with the questions but she couldn't help Cherry being genuinely interested. "If he didn't promise food I wouldn't have brought my sister with me." She said softly. "We tried to hide them as long as we possibly could. We had to when we lived on the streets otherwise we would have been noticed when we stole money. So we started wearing hats, beanies mostly. He found out by accident....back when Legion was first born we usually had to be up a little early to start training and we're not early birds. Daniel came in to wake us up and saw our ears right away. He was surprised at first and I half expected him to throw us out but he didn't react that way. Daniel just hugged us both and put us to work."

"Yep. You're rrrreeeaaallllyyy lucky," Cherry said. She happened to glance out the window to see the others exiting the restaurant. "Looks like it's time to hit the road again." She then looked back at Elsa. "Your history is safe with me, unless you're fine with sharing it." She settled in her seat as soon as the door was open and everyone started taking their seats in the car.

Elsa saw everyone exiting as well, she didn't want Rin to guess that she was telling Cherry everything so they needed to appear normal. "I don't care you tell as long as it stays in Legion." she said softly before she gave a soft chuckle. "I still can't get over the fact that you're named after a fruit." Elsa knew that would get on Cherry's nerves, which is just what she needed to throw off Rin.The Crazy Tomboy ((Now we can time skip! wink ))

Elsa smiled at Cherry's frustration, glad to have their old relationship again, even for a little while. Daniel continued to drive but soon the hour grew late and Elsa found herself falling asleep on Cherry's lap. Everyone else eventually fell asleep as well. Elsa woke up to the blinding sunlight and Daniel was still driving. She saw there were a couple coffee cups in the cup holders but she was still worried about Daniel's fatigue. Elsa looked over at the twins and noticed Chase was awake. "Chase.....can you drive?" she asked softly, stretching a little and trying to wake herself up. Aries had shaken the boy to try and wake him up, they were just about at the Mexico border but Raki just turned over. Aries couldn't help himself, Raki was presenting an opportunity. Aries leaned closer to Raki so his lips were right next to the boy's ear. "Is that an invitation you're presenting me with?" he whispered sensually.

Chase had fallen asleep and woken up in the daylight, greatly refreshed. He had been enjoying the new scenery when Elsa asked if he could drive. "Yeah," was his short answer. "Have we been moving all night? Old Damican, you should probably get some rest." The old man simply waved in a shooing motion, as if to shrug off the suggestion. He did seem rather twitchy, though. "Seriously, I can take over."Raki jolted and was so close to kicking Aries away. "As if!" he shouted, turning over once again and glaring at the man. "Don't even think about it!" That came out as a hiss, but he probably didn't seem very intimidating.

Aries couldn't help but laugh at Raki's reaction. "You gave me no choice, I couldn't help myself." he said, putting his hands up beside him like Raki was robbing him at gun point. "That was fun." he said softly as he started to calm down. Elsa grumbled, the old man wasn't going to give up easily. "Daniel....let Chase drive before I shoot you myself." she said in a threatening voice, it was obvious she was no 'lady' when she first woke up. She looked down at Cherry's thigh and noticed she kind of drooled on her a little, hopefully Cherry wouldn't get too mad.

Raki calmed down a little, though he had to admit he had been paranoid since yesterday. He now stared at Aries with more of an annoyed than shocked expression. With behavior like that, no one could tell the man was a gang leader. "You better be careful around me once I start wielding a gun," he muttered as he tried to go back to sleep.Daniel didn't take her threat seriously, but he knew she would be even more upset if he didn't pull over and switch places with Chase. With a yawn, he exited at the nearest stop and parked the car briefly. "Do you know the way, Chase?" he asked with an additional yawn. "Well, as long as you get there, I suppose. There are signs around that point the way."

Elsa was glad Daniel listened to her, she wasn't able to drive yet but even she knew that being tired behind the wheel wasn't a good idea. Once they stopped Elsa took this opportunity to stretch her legs a little. "Bathroom break! Ash, Cherry, Rin, wake up. Bathroom and breakfast." she grumbled, getting out and stretching before heading to the convenience store to use their bathroom. Rin woke up when she heard her name called and rubbed her eyes. She hated waking up in cars, she was always stiff and in a little bit of pain from sitting upright for so long. "Bathroom....coffee....breakfast." she mumbled, stumbling out of the car for a brief moment.

Asher woke up first, reluctantly trudging out of the car. "Where are we?" he asked as he stretched. "I wonder how far away Leo and Raki are." He hoped they might be near enough for Rin to contact. Or at least near the border. As long as they aren't too far.Cherry woke up with a jolt. "Cherries everywhere!" she shouted before shaking her head and getting a hold of herself. "Dammit, Elsa, I got a nightmare about the cherry fruit!" She grumbled as she got out of the car and stressed. "Are we any closer to Leo? We may wanna get a move on."

Elsa paid for two small coffee's and a couple bear claws for her and Rin who had just finished in the bathroom. The two sisters came back to the car with ears hung low from exhaustion as they drank and ate in the parking lot, procrastinating on sitting back in their normal seats again. Elsa looked inside and saw that Cherry was awake. "Morning fruitcake!" she said with a small smirk. Elsa heard Asher's voice and looked around at her environment as well. "I'm not sure, but we must be getting close to the Mexican border by now."

Asher had to cover his ears while Cherry went on yet another rant about how there was nothing wrong with being named after a fruit. He barely heard Elsa's answer. Near the Mexican border? "How long was Gramps driving?" He sort of worried about the old man. The border had been about a day or less away. Now they were close? How long had that taken?

Elsa couldn't resist teasing Cherry, it was just too easy. Elsa shrugged her shoulders at Asher's question. "It makes sense it took so long. Our headquarters was a state and a half away from the border. Poor Daniel must have been driving all night long." she said softly, seeing the old man passed out in the back seat.
