Lewis nodded, "goats can provide milk and cheese too, they are useful creatures." he had been ignored about the sweets, but it was ok, everyone was having a good time.

Tsume had the feeling they were being watched. after a few glances, he found the source. a man was keeping his distance and keeping to the crowd, but he was definitely watching them. was he sent by the king to keep track of them or to kill them? either way, Tsume had his number now.

Leo was biting his lip, concentrating on healing the boy. "water, lots of water. he knew i would heal him or he wouldn't have done this much damage. if there is one thing that man is good at, it's self control." he'd put Heather to sleep, letting his body ease to make the healing go faster. "G-Georgie." he whispered, glancing up at Elliot, "he calls my father Georgie."

Lewis smiled, "i actually know how to make these. i was-taught in order to be able to make a show of it...though we did not use wooden planks to make our decorations but others instead. the melted sugar would get quite hot after a time. our sugar would work if i was given a little time to experiment. i could teach you how to do it if you want."

Tsume nodded, "noticed him as well. he's just following for now. might be a guard to make sure we don't try and start a riot."

Leo was grateful that Elliot didn't make a big deal about his father. he couldn't handle that right now. as soon as the first water was lay beside him, he held out his hand to it and it rose into a constantly moving ball. this drifted forward and encompassed his arm, traveling across his chest and down his other arm to Heather. it focused on his chest where there was the most damage and began to glow a soft blue, healing the boy faster than he could on his own.

Lewis clutched at Megan when he heard Al speak of dogs, feeling a bit sick as they hurried away to look at the books, fighting to not run like he wanted to. "all of these books! it's amazing they sell them here when it is mostly only the elite that can read. most of the poorer populous aren't taught. the Retans firmly believe in controlling the masses through ignorance."

Kate was standing behind Adi much like Lewis was Megan and Adi looked like she might be sick. "these are specially trained hunting dogs. they can track a rabbit for days through any kind of landscape. the bigger the target the more of a-frenzy they get in." she backed away slightly from the pen that kept the dogs, "the artisan quarter is just a street away, shall we go there next?"

Tsume chuckled, "You might be. my people are neutral, but anyone who comes into our lands learns just how much of fighters we can be." the dogs were being rowdy, liking the fear they smelled on the poor bentiens. he met their eyes and growled deep and low, commanding their attention. one jut of his chin, the certain angle of his shoulders, the looking in his eyes, those dogs took it all in and instantly dropped to their bellies, their tails between their legs as they whimpered. "and stay down." he snarled, turning back to the others, "let's see about this art they claim is so fine."

Leo finally sat back, sweat across his forehead as the water trickled back to the various pots. "he's ok now. He'll be sleeping for a while longer, his body needs to ride out the shock, but he's healed now." he stood and walked to Kashi, kneeling in front of him and taking the hare's hands, "no you aren't. this wasn't your fault, Kashi. He was looking for a reason to come in here, he would have done this anyways, regardless of what you did or didn't do."

Ustavia sat back, "hmmm-" the image in the mirror faded as he steapled his fingers, leaning his chin against his thumbs. "So it can heal a little without, but in order to do large scale healing it needs water...i wonder if that is applicable to all liquids. interesting, most interesting. what degree of wound can it heal? then again, it did bring the king back from the grave. time to find out about the funny little girl." the mirror reflected an image of the bazaar, focusing on the group of visitors. his mind slid forward and took control of the man he'd sent to follow, sending him closer to the women. his job was to make her attack, to find out her power.

Lewis smiled, "i had to be taught. Al and Rein both took time out to make sure i knew...i was difficult back then. worse than i am now. i was having a hard time because ben-well, they weren't allowed to read. if one was caught they were beaten, some masters would even magically blind them. didn't want to damage the goods, you know." he looked at the others and nodded his head, "We should go, the others are leaving."

The man walked to the two of them and smiled at the women, "hello beautiful." he put his hand on her arm and moved close, right next to her, "how about we find ourselves a nice little hotel for the day?" his grip was tight enough she wouldn't be able to break away, she'd have no choice but to use her power.

Tsume looked back at Lewis and Megan and saw that the man who had been following them had a grip on the woman. did he intervene and risk pissing her off or did he watch and make sure things didn't get out of hand.

Leo gave Kashi's hand a squeeze, "sweety, it's natural. you weren't looking for pity and even if you were, it doesn't matter. we all have suffered. how about we put that behind us and help each other move on. we all know suffering so e all know how much it hurts another. so let's help heal those pains together, ok?"

Istavia smiled, leaning back as he summoned back his man. "So that's it. no wonder she is so confident..." having control of the man's mind, he knew every little thing that happened inside of him without feeling the pain. he was able to focus on and see the tiny amounts of life sucked out of him from the mini touches. "you seem to collect power around you, Voice King."

Lewis stared dumbly, knowing he should act, but Megan had it well in hand. he let himself be drug away and found that he was clinging to Tsume without intending to as soon as they were at the man's side. he was more afraid of Megan angry than another attack at the moment.

Tsume grinned to himself and watched the man make a hasty retreat before turning along with Megan and Lewis. he let the man lean against his side, acting as if he was putting a protective arm around the Prime Minister for the sake of those watching them. "remind me to never get on your bad side, Miss." he tipped his head to her and watched Lewis hurry to Al's side as soon as they were near.

Adi quickly brought Megan a glass of water and held an embroidered handkerchief for her to wipe her mouth with, "I am so sorry, my lady. please, had i just been paying closer attention. i'm so sorry, are you alright. do you need aid?"

Leo paled a bit at the offer of entertainment, his smile growing tight, "no, thank you Kashi. i am quite alright." he looked at the table and frowned, "have i eaten yet this morning? i can't remember...ah, yes. i remember. we did eat. well, i ate. you were an idiot." he looked at Elliot and lifted an eyebrow, "i should eat again. i used too much energy just now."

Lewis looked at Megan with a wary eye and shook his head, "I'm glad you're on our side. who would thing the sweet girl who used to cuddle me would end up so violent? i blame Al."

Tsume chuckled and shook his head, but he met Henry's eyes and pointedly looked at the direction the man had retreated in. straight towards the castle, the King had sent him. he moved to the guard's side and crossed his arms as he watched the group, "the king knows about her now. even if he doesn't we need to assume that he does."

Adi stepped back and bowed low, "we will be more vigilant from now on, Mistress. shall we show you the fabric district of the artisan quarters? they have many, many different colors and designs as well as fabric types. i am sure the masters would enjoy it."

Leo nodded, accepting the plate and starting on the strawberries first. "Kashi, really it's ok. you aren't at fault, i'm sure i've said many thing that have hurt you an i apologize for that. please eat, i don't think you ate much earlier, actually i'm sure of it. so please? for my sake, i'll feel guilty if you don't eat your fill."

Lewis nodded, "it's becuase it's usually his fault. though-Rein might have been the one to teach you that this time..." he hated mentioning her, hated even thinking about her. it still hurt, still felt like she was going to show up on day and laugh at them for thinking she was actually dead.

Tsume nodded, "Something happened at the castle as well, Leo used up a lot of healing energy. he won't let me in his mind right now, so he must have had a bit of a shock too, but he's ok."

Adi smiled, "this way, masters." she lead them to where the fabrics were sold and lead them to the best of the shops, "my master ordered that if you wish anything you may have it as a gift. please, do not hold yourselves back."


Heather whimpered softly, his eyes moving below the lids before opening. he tried to think of where he was and why he was so tired. wen he remembered that he was being beaten by the master, he sat up quickly, looking around as he clutched the blanket close. his entire body was shaking, waiting for the beating to continue, but the master wasn't there. more,. his body didn't hurt. even the welts from earlier were gone. he licked his lips and slowly slipped off the pillows he'd been laid on, kneeling and bowing his head before the masters, "I-may i ask what happened?"

Leo held up his hand to keep the other two back when Heather woke. he would be confused and scared, their rushing him wouldn't help that in the least. He made up a small plate while he waited, letting Heather take his time. When the boy seemed to have finally pulled himself together, Leo knelt in front of him and lifted his chin with a soft touch, "here," the plate was forced into the boy's hands and Leo smiled at his confusion, "eat. your body needs the energy. The King was beating you, but he stopped when we arrived. I healed you, but your body needs time to recover. please eat." Heather looked at him for a long time as if not sure if he could believe him or not, but he accepted what he was being told and began to eat, taking small bites. Leo moved back to sit by Elliot and ate a little more freely now, feeling better now that Heather was awake. "we won't let him hurt you again, Heather, i order you to be my personal servant from now on. we can have King AL make the order as well as soon as he returns. is that ok, Elliot?"

Lewis nodded, "i bet we could find material that the girls would love. shall we look?" he head into the store, looking around at the bright colors and beauty surrounding them.

Tsume snorted, "in truth itt wasn't as bad as i expected. the b*****d's more than capable of doing much worse. he's still playing nice at the moment."

Leo made sure the boy ate and drank, but did so himself as well. "i don't think Lewis would be able to handle your father taking him in. we could assign him to Kashi but that might cause more trouble for the both of them." he made sure to keep his voice low, not wanting Kashi to hear. "i can claim to need more help since i'm pregnant. it'll be a good excuse for him to stay with us."
