Gold Star's scowl deepened. She thought for a moment, clearly contemplating that.
After a moment, she sighed deeply and turned her attention back to the man. "Nothing that SHIELD wouldn't stick their nose into. Isn't that right, MILES?" she replied with the same chiding tone.
The man sighed. "I'm sure they'd get involved. Yes."

The balls of fire ceased to be, and Firestar turned her full attention to Miles, "It wouldn't be out of the way drop him off at the SHIELD office in town, would it?"
Her angel eyes seemed to be scanning the man for something.

If she had been searching for nervousness or fear...she received none. Only slight annoyance. "If you wanna drop me off there, then fine. All that will happen is you'll be wasting everyone's time." he replied.
Star turned back towards Star. "He's familiar with SHIELD..." she replied with an air of annoyance in her voice. Though, it seemed more directed towards the man than her.

Star hesitated a moment. "No...I didn't. If you want to go check it out though, go right ahead. I can handle this guy. I'll take him somewhere safe and then...um...I'll catch up with you." she said.

Firestar nodded, "Okay, I know you can handle it. Just... catch up later."
The heroine saw the smoke, "Just follow the smoke when you're done."
With that, Firestar flew into the sky with a nimbus of flame around her.

Gold Star waited for Firestar to leave, then turned back to the man with her arms crossed. "Now then...give me one good reason why I shouldn't drop you off at SHIELD, MILES....or would you prefer I start calling you STANLEY now. I know you probably prefer Stan, but since you don't seem to care too much on names, I'm just going to call you Stanley. Seriously...Spider-Man TOLD you I can read minds...don't you think lying about your identity would wave a red flag?"
The man frowned. "I didn't much care. I know Doctor Warren. Much less explaining to do if I said I was him, rather than try to explain why that psychopath was after me."
Gold Star arched a dark brow at him. "Uh-huh....this coming from one of SHIELD's little guineas pigs that started going kooky until they pulled you out of the drug program?"
Stan's frown deepened.

Star paused a moment and simply stared at him. Finally she sighed deeply and rubbed the bridge of her nose. Telekenetically she ripped the webbing that was keeping him attached to the wall.
"Well..." she began. "You really never have met the man before in your life. So you really don't know why he came after you." And he didn't. She picked through his brain and she came across no confrontation of any kind between the two. So...other than spazzing out sometime ago because of a test drug...the guy was clean. "I guess you are free to go then. Note though...your little lie has put you on the good guy radar."
She had no other idea what to do with the guy. She really couldn't do anything to him. So...let him go it was?
"So, try to keep on your best behavior, Mister Carter. I'll let SHIELD know you had a little run-in with the Doc if I pass by there."
Stanley looked at her as though this whole thing was just a big waste of his time. "Don't worry." he half growled. "I have plenty of things to do to keep me busy. Part of them I no longer have time for."
Star rolled her eyes. "Yeah. Sure. Sorry to save your life and all." she said. The next moment, she was simply gone.

 Juri ran through a series of alleyways. She'd dumped the tin can a while back through his flurry of shots. "Well its safe to say this spider is going to be weaving some webs."She told herself, a finger in her mouth as she sat on a dumpster. She was thinking of ways to run around without attracting so much attention. "Ooooh, I'm getting all tingly just thinking about it."Then again, it was fun to get attention as well. She giggled at the naughty thoughts in her mind, her Feng Shui engine glowing eeriely for a few epic minutes of her laughter. She then licked her lips, in pure pleasure and delight.

While sitting inside a goth club, Skuld fretted a bit after Victor -- who still seemed to be out. Slowly, the redhead turned toward Kaine, "Well.... Are you alright? Do I need to get anyone for you?"

 Megaman found himself lost. He lost the estranged girl and he was lost in this world. "Where am I? Where are the others?"He asked, walking at a slowed pace around town. He was in broad daylight, a good few of the populace ran from him. This surely wasn't the the utopia of mavericks, reploids, and humans he knew. "At least there I wasn't avoided like a maverick."He muttered, sighing heavily. He didn't enjoy fighting off the evil robots and he didn't like feeling like one. The sight of Sigma would make everyone run, right now that's how people reacted when the saw his visage.
