"What? Like, what're you talking about? Why are we--" In one swift motion, Sabrina quickly clasped her hand over Whitney's mouth and moved behind her. "I sense someone," she whispered into her ear, "someone who has violent intentions. She's looking for me. We need to get out of here, and fast. And we need to be quiet about it." She removed her hand from Whitney's mouth, and began looking around the room frantically. How is this possible? she thought. How in the hell did she manage to find me so damned fast? We can't go out the front entrance-- it's too risky. We need to sneak out... Oh, nuts! I need to get my Pokemon back from Nurse Joy! Wordlessly, she dashed out of the dormitory and back into the main room, and after a moment of small talk with the nurse, received her single Pokeball, promptly re-entering the dormitory.
"It looks like the only way out is through the windows in here," she stated. "Sabrina, what the hell? Who's after you? Talk to me!" "Listen, Whitney. I promise I'll tell you all about it when we get as far away from here as possible. Do you have a Pokemon that can Fly?" "Well yes, I've got Rio here, but--" "Good. Get his Pokeball." Shuffling over to one of the windows in the room, she promptly opened it and hopped out, indicating for Whitney to do the same.
"Rio, go!" Whitney released her bird from its ball as she followed Sabrina. She climbed onto the Pokemon and helped Sabrina up. "Where do you want to go?" she asked the psychic. "Can you take me home? I haven't been to Saffron in ages, and I know this girl reasonably well. It's very likely that she would reason I wouldn't go back there because it would be such an obvious place to find me... but sometimes, the best hiding spot is right out in the open." Whitney nodded. "Okay. If you believe that's the right thing to do, then... Rio! Get us to Saffron, and step on it!" she exclaimed.
Rio began flapping its tailfeathers frantically, its three heads squawking in unison. When it reached a reasonably high elevation, it shot off like a bullet, Kanto-bound. However, it didn't go unnoticed.
"Damn it all... she got away. But who's that with her?"

The Hariyama and Skarmory "started viciously making out" (Mikallen, p. 172). Or maybe they did the more expected thing, which was glare at the rag-tag bunch in front of them. Really, couldn't have some of the lesser Grunts taken care of them, instead of having them actually work? The two Pokemon were strong and conceited, but rather lazy... Ah well, it was always bad for them if they didn't obey Janice's nagging orders. Speaking of which, here came one now.
"Annihilate them. Keep the Pokemon alive, though, dead ones are no good to us!"
Oh yay, free reins! It was so troublesome listening to that high-pitched blabbermouth of a woman. Hariyama cracked his knuckkles, smirking as he stepped forward, and the Skarmory screeched, a deafening sound, as it zoomed forwards towards M.A.'s little crew.
The girl's eyes widened considerably, and she grabbed the two immobile Pokemon -- being a very wounded Daemyn and a fear-frozen Diego -- and tackled them out of the way quickly and awkwardly, causing them all to sprawl on the floor. Not a very graceful movement, mind, but that was the least of her concerns at the moment. Her arms groaned from the effort of hauling them and landing on the ground, on top of being twisted earlier. Meanwhile, Ulani was able to swerve out of the way, but barely; that thing was fast! They were a bit out-classed here, 'Lani thought, her beak clamped hard in determination. But she wasn't about to let her team down! She'd beat them all herself if she had to... somehow...
In the panic, the brunette didn't notice the little Magby at her feet, and thus nearly crushed him with the weight of herself and two additional Pokemon. Now that she was at ground-level, however, with a whimpering Houndoom and Smeargle at her side, she noticed the fellow, eyes slitted at those Rockets. "Are you here to help?" M.A. asked quietly, ribs aching, though an inner doubter in her mind wondered how much a little Swablu and a little red, bulbous duck could do to those tanks over there. Then again, she still had one more (predictable) card up her sleeve...
The Skarmory was making her round back again, and it was only with several persistent Fury Attacks from Ulani in the air that changed the irritable metal bird's attention from the four landbound figures down there to that little blue gumdrop of a thing. How annoying! She'd have to take down this pesk first; Hariyama could take care of the ones down there, that lazy slob of a fatass. Ulani blew a raspberry at the flying chunk of metal, and that sealed the deal; Skarmory began to chase a frantic Ulani about.
The cheeky blue bird knew she couldn't keep this up long, and attacking the Skarmory herself was out of the question; those Fury Attacks hadn't even dented her opponent, even if it had dented her aching beak. It was then she noticed that red bugger down there. Oh! He must be there to help out, lovely, hopefully he could do something! Ulani made a sudden swerve, temporarily losing the Skarmory and zipping back down to M.A., sweeping the Magby onto her compact body before jetting off again lest the Skarmory come to attack her trainer.
M.A. blinked at the rush of wind past her, wishing she could help Ulani and that duck more somehow, but her attention was definitely back down here, where that Hariyama was hovering above her. Daemyn snarled unevenly, trying to stand up, but the very effort of that send pain shooting up left side, where he had landed less than ceremoniously from that Seismic Toss. Diego was still scared stiff; he was an artist, he was supposed to stay objective... All the fear rushing into his body was incomprehensible to him. The big thing in front of them, shading them... frightening.
The Hariyama pulled one of his huge hands back, ready to initiate an attack, when a pale M.A. managed a smile. "Wait a moment," she said, a cryptic desperate kind of amusement in her eyes. "I have a gift for you." With that, she tossed something into the air, not too high, so that the Hariyama could not see it in the interfering shine of intrusive setting sun.
What he did feel, however, was three hundred pounds of elephant landing on his head.

Napalm had just enough time to nod in response to M.A.'s question before being snatched up by the flying pillow of a bird that was Ulani. It took him by surprise, but he quickly regained his composure and climbed atop his new ride, trying to find a compromise between balance and digging his feet into his new allies' back. "Hi!" he called out, swaying back and forth, not used to riding shotgun on a flying platform. "My name's Napalm! What's you-woah!" The Magby threw himself onto Ulani's back, barely dodging the metallic birds Fury Attack. "He means buisness!" honked the Magby, hurrying to his feet. The Skarmory circled around, tucking in its wings for an added boost of speed. "You steer, I'll keep him off your back!"
Napalm figured the best way to deal with this would be to disorient their pursuer. It was much faster than his new friend, and he bet it had a bit more bite to him too. "Alright, when I give the signal, go straight up!" He took in a deep breath, churning the fire inside his body, before exhaling a thick black smoke behind them.
The Skarmory let out a surprised squawk as its view of its prey turned into a front row seat of an obscuring black fog. It opened its wings to stop, unable to figure out where they went.
"Now! Climb!" Napalm yelled, hanging on for dear life as he saw the Skarmory clear their temporary diversion and rocket after them with a mighty squawk.

Riza sighed with relief when she saw the rest of their opponents get taken down by Crenu's Pokemon, and for the moment she felt like they could relax. Thanks to Riza's sheltered little life back in Blackthorne she never had experiences like this, and while at first she'd been scared, now she was actually almost enjoying all this chaos. She glanced around, aware of the fact that no one else was coming near them for the time. "I think we're safe for now," she said, then looking to Crenu. And that was when she noticed that he wasn't doing so good. She frowned, and walked over to him.
Ralts had already moved to the injured boy's side and was gazing up at him worriedly, touching her hand to her chin as she wished there was something she could do.
"Damn, those guys really messed you up," Riza said, kneeling next to Crenu. She looked around again. The pokecenter wasn't terribly far away, but it wouldn't be easy for the two of them to get there without further incident. She also wasn't quite sure what Crenu meant by poison fang but she didn't think it was a good thing. 'We've got to get out of here,' she thought, frowning. She looked to Ralts. "I've got a wacky idea," she said suddenly, reaching out and linking her arm with Crenu's uninjured one while she picked up Ralts with her free arm. "Ralts, teleport us to the pokecenter!" she said, closing her eyes. After all, she didn't know what to expect.
Ralts nodded and closed her eyes. It would be her first time actually teleporting someone with her, but she was determined to do it for Riza and Crenu's sake. She was a little tired from the battle but she still had enough energy to do this. The trio began to glow slightly before they all suddenly disappeared, reappearing a second or so later a few feet from the pokecenter doors. Ralts whimpered softly and promptly passed out in her trainer's arms, having used up every bit of energy to get them that far. "Oh, Ralts!" Riza cried, cuddling the little psychic close. "You did great, thank you!" She recalled the psychic into her ball, and turned to Crenu. "Maybe the nurse can help you?" she suggested, holding out a hand to help him.
((I hope this is okay Sir...I can edit if you don't like it.))

As he stepped off the boat, Kevin took in a deep breath. Ah, nothing like that fresh Johto air, he thought to himself.
He had just arrived at the port of Olivine City after an extended stay in Dewford town of the Hoenn region. At his side was his Squirtle, Monsoon, diligently following its owner off the ship. Eager to help, Monsoon looked around the port, ready to tug his trainer's pant leg if he spotted anything useful. Hanging off Kevin's shoulder was his Sableye, Twinkles. Every few moments, the odd ghost Pokemon would crawl across the trainer's back and poke its head over the other shoulder, taking in the new sights.
"Alright boys," Kevin suddenly announced, "vacation's over."

"Agh... that really scared me," Sabrina confessed. "I thought that we were going to be attacked for sure." "You never did explain yourself, Sabrina," Whitney replied. "What's going on? Who's after you?" "Well... it's a bit of a story. I won't get into it now, but a summarized version is that in the time I was gone, I met someone and we were friends for a while, but there's a lot of bad blood between us now, and she's really mad at me." "Mad to the point of violence... god. You like, really must've done something awful to piss someone off that badly." "Well, awful enough, evidently. I think we're okay now though-- I can't sense her anymore."
Rio slowed down a little bit, at Whitney's command. "I don't need to you get tired out already and end up dropping us into the ocean or something-- that's the last thing we need right now. I don't exactly have any Water Pokemon with me... hah, speaking of the ocean." Looking ahead, the water was coming into view; it seemed as though the girls were approaching Slateport City. "I was here not too long ago, actually," Whitney commented, looking back to her friend. "Sabrina? What's wrong?" The girl had a serious expression on her face. "There's a battle up ahead. There's a big battle taking place." Whitney raised an eyebrow. "Yes, and? Battles go on everyday. Why is this--"
"Because," Sabrina began, "it's a battle between our friends and Giovanni. And I can tell it's extremely difficult, despite the fact that they are all powerful trainers." "And just what do you propose we do? Crash the fight?" "No, not so much. Let's just... mm, help out our friends a bit, shall we? We can attack from up here, and be gone before they know what happened. You've got Castform still, right?" "I do. I can have him drop a Weather Ball on the field, and hopefully it'll help out."
Releasing her Pokemon, it floated alongside them in the air. They approached Slateport and, despite the fact that they were as high up in the air as they were, they were able to make out the figures of people, and Pokemon in battle. Lowering down a bit and hovering in place, they could make out just who was who-- and then they saw Mike's Magby being carried around by a Swablu that the girls assumed to be friendly. They were doing their best to keep a frantic Skarmory at bay. "There's our target!" Whitney exclaimed. "Castform! Harness all of the power of the sun! Weather Ball, now!"
Closing its eyes and concentrating, Castform created a ball of energy over its head; it shone bright red, indicating it was of a Fire element. Opening its eyes, it carefully watched the Skarmory's movements, and waited for the perfect moment to shoot the Weather Ball at it with a tremendous force. Whitney recalled her Pokemon after it had commenced its attack. "Rio! Let's get out of here, now!" With three consecutive sqwaks, the bird took off, a few of its tailfeathers falling. The wind currents carried them down and to Mike and the others, as if to say, "We were here. We hope we helped."

"Hullo -- Napalm," Ulani chirped between pants, trying her hardest to fly as quickly as she usually did even with the extra weight. She was having trouble keeping away from the Skarmory before, and that was with her being around two pounds... This Napalm fella was about twenty times heavier than herself. Nevertheless, she couldn't help bt be in a cheery mood. After all, she had just seen that fat lard, Tora, land butt-first on the Hariyama. Good thing Tora had a lot of insulation. She wouldn't lose too many brain cells from the fall either, since she wasn't exactly talented in the area to begin with!
"I'm -- Ulani -- and I sure -- hope -- you know what -- you're doing -- cause if that thing catches up and hits us -- it's a long fall down!" she sang, closing her eyes as she shot upwards into the smog. Ugh, it'd make her pretty white wings so, so dirty. But she didn't have the time to worry about that, and something in Napalm's voice -- some kind of confident authority -- made her trust him.
The Hariyama didn't crumple under Tora's weight, but it did topple over, its face disgusted by the butt it was just in. "Roll-out!" M.A. commanded, eyes on her elephant while her hands were frantically searching in her small bag for the potion she knew was in there. Ahah! Found it. Daemyn whimpered as M.A. applied it liberally to his limp, scratched up legs, although after a moment the pain subsided and took away some. Not much, but he figured he could stand now.
Tora meanwhile spun wildly into her ball before bursting off towards the Hariyama. The Hariyama slapped his belly, wincing a bit from the Belly Drum, but glowing slightly in return -- his power was multiplied, now. So when Tora hit his hands, all the Hariyama had to do stop her going this direction and shove her in the other.
So Tora pretty much made a ninety degree turn from where she had meant to go, and so was spinning uncontrollably off into the stage where Mai and Cynthia were, slamming into it hard. Meanwhile, the Hariyama once again advanced onto M.A., Diego, and Daemyn, smirking deviously... Daemyn snarled once more, ears laid back against his head and leaning far backwards on not-so-steady legs. His ferocity was a poor facade, he knew, for the Hariyama could see his shaking. But he wouuldn't let him lay a finger on his girl!

Alice gave a big smile to mask her discomfort. It wasn’t towards her new, lively, companions at all. As her flamboyant friend described the lavish hotel, a chill went down her spine. I hate sleeping on foreign beds! Yes, the fear and hate she had for traveling was caused by an acute Mysophobia. Who knew when they changed those sheets!? I don’t want to sleep in other people’s DNA deposits!! Hearing that the hotel is 5 star eased her anxiety a little bit. She had to keep optimistic.
She become a little disappointed when Aidan turned down Veilstone. She had been to Hearthome before, she visited when a pokemon her grandparents had breed entered. She had never visited Veilstone but heard stories from visiting trainers that had passed through.
There was no crying over spilt juice for Alice, she’d rather travel with a flamboyant trio then alone.

This was such a stupid idea! This was such a stupid idea! This was such a stupid idea! thought an ever confident Napalm, his eyes slammed shut as the screaming winds rushed past his face and he hung on for dear life. He couldn't steady himself to attack, and as Ulani so eloquently put it, 'it was a long way down'. He didn't feel like proving her right.
Suddenly, with a loud (and seemingly out of place, but Napalm didn't feel like questioning it) "SQAUWK!"-the sun, the glorious, beautiful sun, sensing their struggles, sent down a celestial present in the form of a scorching fireball, which shot straight down and crashed into the unsuspecting Skarmory's chest with a satisfying 'boom!'. "Thank you sun!" Napalm cheered, giving a sigh of relief as he felt Ulani level out a bit. The Skarmory however, was not as thankful for the solar intervention, and struggled to stay airborne as he shook off his smoldering metal wings. Where the hell had that attack come from? No matter, he was fine, which was more than he could say about those two shrimps up there in about twenty seconds! The bird gave a shrill cry, and once again tore after the Swablu and Magby.
"I have another idea! But this one is a lot simpler." Napalm said as he knelt down. "I'm just gonna shoot a fireball at it! And when he's dealing with that, you swoop in and take him out!" The Magby took in a deep breath, his body glowing a bright red. "Watch out, this one has quite a kick to it!" shouted Napalm before loosing a powerful Overheat. The kickback alone required that he grab onto Ulani's back unless he wanted to race her to the ground.
Not again! The Skarmory thought as yet another massive fireball came screaming towards him. This one was much bigger, and it was certain would hurt much more. With a frightened shriek, the bird braced for impact, suddenly wishing he were somewhere else when the Overheat slammed into him and exploded.

Hoooly crap. The SUN just smote something? She had better start being good. No more stealing shiny things. The Sun was watching. Well, at least during the day.
Before Ulani could ask what the heck Napalm had in mind, however, she was surprised by a sudden heat wave on her back and her shooting forwards about twenty feet in the air. The bird looped around a bit, trying to regain her balance; hopefully her heavy passenger could hold on. When she felt a painful grip on her cotton wings, she squawked a bit, but at least that meant he was fine. "Might -- wanna let go -- of those! They ain't -- pillows," Ulani panted, feeling the strain of carrying something besides herself.
Turning around, she saw that the Skarmory was barely conscious now and its lustrous metal was burnt black. Ulani whistled, taking her time to meander back to the steel bird. "I -- wouldn't want -- to fight you," she said to Napalm. "You -- pack -- a hefty punch!" It might have been easier for her to fly if she just shut up, but that was incomprehensible to Ulani.
When they arrived at the hovering bird, Ulani flew around its head semi-curiously. Yup, almost out cold. It could hardly croak at Ulani, a laughable attempt at viciousness. "Well okay -- I guess I could," the bird sighed, neatly pecking the Skarmory on the head, making a lovely little clunk! sound. And down, down, down the bird went.
Ulani's descent down was pretty nice too, much less effort than going up the stairs with a heavy weight. She landed with a tired oomph. "Thanks a bunch, Napalm," she twittered. "Might wanna invest in losing some weight, though. You're heavier than you look!"

Dun, dun, dun! Sapphire to the rescue! In a blur of blue the Houndoom was in front of his brothe in mere moments. "I'm the hero, stupid," he howled glaring daggers into the Hariyama. The mob of Pokemon had considerably thinned by now, mostly thanks to the angry efforts of the loveable psychic most know as Karri. Sapphire had had his fair share of attacks, easily knocking out any opposing grass types. However, when this hulking mass of fat, or was it lard?, decided to rough house his bro. That, that was not cool. Messing with the runt was his job. Sapphire Howled, not really trying to intimidate the Fighting Pokemon, he was a Rocket's Pokemon after all, but to give him a morale boost. Attack, I dare you, he thought.
"Karri!" Mitsu yelled over the rush of the panic that was still consuming the area, "let's get over there!" And by there she meant with Kilik, Mike, and Kasiya. I don't care if they think I'm 'weak,' they're going to have to deal with it. Because I'm not! She clenched her fists, determined to prove her worth. She was just as strong as them, and with Karri by her side taking out Giovanni wouldn't even phase her. She shot her eyes back to her Pokemon. Fear would have consumed her if she had not taken the upmost trust in her teammates. The Rockets can't take you. You're too strong for them. "Sapphire! Protect M.A. and Daemyn!" she shouted, "Ivy, we'll need you as back up!" And with that she took off elbowing Grunts left and right to get to the trio.
Karri couldn't help but smile. She didn't know if it was that weird power of her, or turely herself, but Mitsu had picked up some confidence somewhere along the melee of Pokemon. Speaking of which, this Ariados has got to go! Fling! And just like that it was up in the air. Mitsu's heightened emotions, the positive ones at that, were definately serving a good purpose as they easily fueled Karri's fire power. Perhaps being so receptive to emotions wasn't such a bad thing after all. The Gardevior quickly trailed after her trainer, protecting her from unseen attackers and the like.
Ivy had racked up some damage from the stupid Huntail. Who at the moment was refusing to let go of his bud. It chomped down hard causing Ivy to roar. Well if he was so hungry, he wouldn't mind a mouthful of sludge would it? And with that Ivy released an explosion of Toxic into the Water Pokemon's mouth. Gagging the Deep Sea Pokemon quickly let go, wriggling from the deadly poison. Ah! His trainer was calling! Running on his somewhat stubby legs Ivy made a mad dash to follow the purple haired hirl, knocking over two Rockets in his rampage. He'd definately have to find a moment to use Synthesis, he noted to himself.
Mitsu may not have been the strongest physically, but at least she was speedy enough to dodge most of the attacks from those Rockets. "You guys!" she shouted trying to break into the small clearing that they somewhat had. Ivy's support attacks and Karri would have to be of some use. She just knew it.

As Robin lead Rowan away from the stage she felt with each step she took that she was getting more and more pathetic. Everyone else was staying and trying to defend everyone else and defeat the R tee-shirt people. Before she knew it there were tears running down her face. She couldn't help it, she couldn't help the fact that she was scared. There was a group of people attacking everyone and here she was running away. Ok so maybe everyone else was crazy, maybe she was the only normal one. 'Or maybe you are just a coward and a hypocrite. You always talk about how even the weakest pokemon can take on the strongest if they have the will power. You just don't have the will power. You are one of those weak souls that you claim to not be worth your time.' Her inner voice offered to her. Oddly enough there was nothing cruel in what was being said, it wasn't nice but there was no anger in it, there was just simple cold truth. Robin bit her lip as she came to terms with this, so caught up in her own thoughts she didn't notice that she had bit through the thin skin on her lip and it was bleeding now.
'No!' She suddenly thought furiously. 'NO! I am not going to go through this! I AM a strong person! I may not be the most strong willed person right now but I will get to be! This is just a hurdle that I need to jump over.' Suddenly she felt the fire in her burn brightly again. She stopped where she was and turned around looking up at Professor Rowan who just raised an eyebrow at her. "Someone needs to stop them. I don't think they will listen to me but I am going to try. Someone has to try. Everyone is just fighting and it isn't resolving anything! They are just going to keep fighting until one of them doesn't get back up again."
Robin knew that no one would probably listen to her. She knew that no one would pay attention to her. Robin also knew that she had to try. She may get hurt, in fact she was pretty sure she would get hurt but she knew that it had to be done. As she looked into the older mans eyes he didn't break his gaze as she stared up at him. Rowan watched the girl who was leading him away tremble for a bit before she stopped. He knew something was wrong but when she turned to face him her eyes so determined he couldn't help but be impressed by her. It wasn't often that you got to see someone who was so determined to do the right thing no matter the cost to one self. He knew that one day this young girl would inspire people to do great things. She wasn't there yet. No she wasn't strong enough but she would be someday. She still had self doubt and thats why when she went out there no one would listen to her. When she rid herself of that she would be able to move mountains. Rowan just stared at her for a moment before he gave her a small smile. "All right. Try to not get hurt. Remember I still have to tell you about Sinnoh." He glanced over to Luffy who was now on the ground standing proudly besides his trainer. "You and your pokemon are going to have a surprise soon, I can tell you are almost strong enough for it." That said he watched as she walked back towards the fray. Luffy had been suspiciously silent the whole time. He could sense Robin was making a discovery about herself. He knew that he would never have to go through what she was, but he still knew that it would be hard on her. Things might get a little strange in the future but Luffy would always be by her side waiting for her to work it out. The small Aipom might not be the smartest pokemon but he saw long before anyone else that she was a person who would shake the world. It may take a long time but he was sure that she would reach that point eventually. He was proud of his friend and he followed her proudly as they made there way back to the battle.
Robin walked determinedly into the middle of the battle area, she ignored the battles and made her way to the middle where there was a bunch of debris, mostly chairs that had been piled up. Robin climbed on top of it and surveyed the area. There were a lot of pokemon who were battling, all of them looked so powerful but still Robin did not feel like backing down at anytime. She felt like she was someone else at the moment. Someone much more powerful and strong then she normally was. She suddenly knew what it felt like to be as strong willed as she claimed that she should be. With that good feeling in her she smiled slightly and quickly wiped the blood that was on her lips and chin before she took a deep breath and shouted out. "Stop it! All of you stop it right now!" She just hoped that her voice would carry over the din. At her side Luffy stood proud his arms crossed over his chest, he was determined to protect his Nakama no matter what came at them.
~~~~
Meanwhile Ampersand had been standing to the side of the stage watching the battle take care of itself. He had no doubt as to who would be the victor. Really no one here stood a chance against Cynthia, even Giovanni who was standing so arrogantly in his helicopter. He grinned slightly as he looked up at the man. Really he had warned the man and if the kids didn't give him a humiliating defeat Cynthia would crush him into the ground and make sure he didn't try something like this again. He was so caught up in his thoughts, they were rather pleasing, that he didn't notice Robin suddenly stride out into the middle of the battlefield and get on top of a bunch of broken chairs and rocks. He did notice though when she yelled at the top of her lungs.
Oh that was not good! She shouldn't be drawing attention to herself like that, she wasn't strong enough yet to protect herself from everything going on here. Pushing himself away from the place where he was watching everything. He easily pushed his way through the crowd ignoring the fact he was putting peoples pokemon to sleep. When he got there he looked up at the determined girl and decided to just hang back some. So he stood behind her watching letting his aura protect her from the more dangerous threats that would probably come to her.
"Shrug it off Hurricane!" Eraku said encouraging his pidgey to recover from the attack that had just been landed on him. Hurricane turned to Eraku and and gave him a reassuring nod. "Alright now lets make sure he can't do that again! Use sand attack on it!" and sure enough Hurricane took to the air and began to beat his wings harder and harder till a decent sized cloud of dirt and sand began to blow into the face of the wingull and his trainer.
:cough:cough: "Ahh it's in my eyes. Cut it out!" the boy cried. But his wingull however looked unfazed from the attack. It gave out a squawk and glared at Hurricane.
"Well at least we blinded one of them." Eraku muttered looking over to his pidgey who looked slightly amused at the sight of the pudgy boy flailing his arms around and yelling.
"Alright that was not cool. Wingull shoot it out of the sky! Use water gun!" the boy yelled at his Wingull. The Wingull looking slightly out of breathe let out the slightest of sighs and once again took aim at his opponent spraying a jet of water at him. Unfortunately he aimed slightly to the left of Hurricane and managed to his Eraku right in the face. Eraku slowly reached his hand up and wiped his face off.
"Bleh! I shoulda seen that one coming. Alright, alright Hurricane lets knock em down for the count! One last tackle should do the trick."
Napalm let out a cheerful honk of victory as Ulani, so prim and proper, landed the finishing blow on the now char broiled Skarmory, which hit the ground with a cacophonous 'crash!' Her compliment put a smile on his face, sort of. He couldn't really move his beak, but it certainly made him happy. "Well, I couldn't have done it without you." he said, easing his grip on her wings. No need to cling anymore, the danger was gone.
The Magby had never been so happy to feel the earth beneath his feet as he did when Ulani touched down. He practically rolled off her back, falling to the ground with a lazy thud. "I'll look into it." Napalm chuckled in response to the Swablu's suggestion, still sprawled out on the ground. "I'm not sure if I'd want to do that again though." he said, the last battle replaying in his mind. After catching his breath for a moment, Napalm stood up, looking back to M.A. That purple haired girl, Mitsu, had left her Pokemon to help. He figured she was alright, Napalm recalled Mitsu being a tough trainer. Besides, with all those Pokemon, he'd probably just get in the way. "I'm going back to Mike now Ulani. It was nice meeting you!" he waved good-bye before running off towards the battle on the stage between Mike, his friends, and that man in the orange suit.
Napalm cursed his little legs as he ran forward, hoping that someday he'd be blessed with longer ones, ones that let him run really fast! Thankfully though, there was an advantage to being small; no one really noticed you if you kept quiet. The Magby scurried between people, trying not to attract too much attention from the dark-clothed humans. So far so good, he thought as he ran between someone's legs.
Unfortunately for Napalm, that last maneuver would cost him his stealthy retreat. Before he knew what was happening, a gigantic mass of...something hit the ground in front of him. The ground shook, causing the much, much smaller Pokemon to fall flat on his face. He quickly stood up, wondering what Poke-bus had just nearly hit him. Napalm had to tilt his head almost completely back to get a look at the huge Pokemon blocking his way. It was easily the biggest thing he'd ever seen. It was huge, and green, with a fat tan belly. Whatever the heck it was, Napalm thanked his stubby legs for being slow enough to avoid being squashed.
"Oh drat." a voice from behind him called. "I was hoping to take you out in one hit and just have to drag you back to base." He towered over Napalm, and was about the same size as the Pokemon he sent out, only a lot skinnier. He wore the same clothes as the bad people who attacked M.A. "My Snorlax has gotten a bit out of shape lately, but I'm sure slamming you into the ground will fix that."
Oh this was not good, Napalm thought. This Pokemon was huge, and this trainer didn't seem very friendly. Not to mention, he was all alone, separated from his trainer. He was in big trouble.
"Snorlax, Body Slam!" the lanky man called out.
Napalm's eyes grew wide as dinner plates as the up-until-then lethargic Pokemon quickly rose to its feet, and threw itself at him, roaring loudly. Not needing an invitation, the Magby turned and ran, barely making it out of the way as the Snorlax hit the ground with crushing force. The impact sent him tumbling, but he quickly recovered to his feet, breathing heavily.
This was going to be the most challenging fight of his life, and he had to do it alone.
Aidan listened to Jun talk about blackmailing the hotel manager, something about that rubbed him wrong. Ok so maybe Calder was not all to far off when he called him a noble samurai. He just hated the fact that they were going to take advantage of someone else. "You two can stay in the hotel, I will stay at the pokemon center." Was all he said on the matter, he didn't mind sleeping on couches or the floor or even outside. There were worse things to deal with and he didn't need any of that fancy stuff. "Well are we going to go or not?" He asked as he mounted Jenny's motor bike. He had ridden it a few times and he was suddenly very glad of that. He would NEVER get inside a vehicle Jun was driving if he could ever help it again. Well he didn't know about Alice but he was pretty sure if he didn't drive to fast she could keep up with him. Of course she could share the sidecar with Jun if she wanted.
As he was thinking about it he gazed out into the clear sky and a thought suddenly hit him. He was leaving. He had only been out of the town a few times, and never really to another city. He was actually leaving the others, he would have to call the pokemon center tomorrow to let them know. Still he was leaving them, they had never really been with out him looking over them before. Ok he was sure they could take care of themselves and the rest of the town would look after them to. Still he didn't want to leave. He also didn't want to be a bad influence on them though, he didn't want them to think it was ok to steal. So he hadn't meant to steal it but that didn't make it any less true that he had.
Sighing somewhat he pushed his feelings aside and shook his head. It was not the time to be thinking this. He needed to do some other things first, he could take care of it when he was alone with his thoughts.
