He grinned at her comment about the bedroom. But on to the matter at hand, it being his new appearence. "Well being that Ashtar has returned, I decided I would make it my mission to face him. But I knew I was not strong enough. Since the split, I felt as though I needed to relearn everything all over again. I thought I had the last time I was absent, but I still lacked control over much of my powers. And I'd lost much of my physical and fighting prowess, since much of that was his influence. I returned to my homeland first, and from there traveled all over the east. Finally I found what I was searching for, or rather what I needed. I met a human, an old one. He was ancient and yet he was the strongest human I have ever met..." He paused for a moment, organizing his thoughts as they walked. He felt like he was telling his life's story, for this felt as though he had started a new life.

Ixilin knew an immortal was stalking him, he wished it would just show itself so that he might know what to do, until he knew his enemy he could do nothing. He had infinite paitience however, if the immortal made a false move it would be dead in minutes. His cigarette had just about run out so he threw it down and stepped out the burning cinders. He pushed his glasses up on his nose, a light sweat that had been accumulating had caused them to slide down his nose a few centimeters.

"This man, from just being in his presence, I could tell there was something different about him. And he could tell the same about me. He knew I was a demon, yes, but one that was pure of heart and soul. He asked me what it is that I sought, and I replied that I sought to become whole again. That I sought power of perfection only attainable through the spirit. He smiled at that, I think he thought me quite the old heart, like him. He said he could teach me. He tought me all these months, up until the day he died. Before he died he said that there was only one more thing that I must do as his tutor. He said that he was not the master. The true master was the fire in all spirits, and that to make my spirit whole again, I must be purified through fire. And so, quite by surprise on my part, he made a fire. I've never seen anyone able to make fire that way who wasn't a fire demon. He said this was the fire of his chi, his spirit. He told me he was old, and was about to die soon, and that fire was the purist fire from the entire century of his life. He told me to stand in it, and I would be one with the power that was his unbroken spirit. He died there and then, but the fire lingered. And so I stepped into it. When I came out again, and the fire died, it had been hours, and I looked at myself in the reflection of a lake and saw what I had changed to. And so I am as you see me."

He smiled and kissed her in return. "I suppose it is true that the eyes reflect the soul. My soul hasn't changed, just become whole again. I am my true self now. I've never felt better actually."

"Oh really?" Neko asked, raising an eyebrow before kissing him again. She reigned herself in, keeping in mind that she had things to do as an Elder now. She smiled at him, innocent ans sweet. "Come, I have to go help another demon, and then after that we can get started 'catching up.'"
