Miriam The Bat I accidently deleted my gaia towns invite this morning when cleaning my inbox ;_; I need someone to send me a copy... *sent miriam a copy* ninja @bp56: vo said in the towns forum that we should avoid posting screenshots of gaia towns. i think meri and malee also said they're discouraging posts of links and screenies in here ^^;

BP56, don't upload screenshots. It's against the rules of being a beta tester. Malee said she'll have to delete them.

Personally I think they shouldn't have even released it to some random people if it can't hold stable under a few thousand users. Why even try to debug it when it can only hold about 1% of Gaia's population? The smart thing to do as a programmer would've been allowing it to hold all Gaia's users first, and then let all of Gaia debug it at once, to make everything go faster. Because at this rate, they'll debug a good amount, and then upgrade it to allow more users. And then they'll have to debug it all over. Pretty redundant and stupid, if you ask me.

I've got a question for Meri......are we allowed to order a Silky Slime for a friend as a gift, but also give it a name if we already know what'd make them happy? I have a really good idea of what my friend would want me to name it if I could. sweatdrop It's /not/ urgent.

I haven't got an invitation ;__________________; Random users were chosen to alpha test the release of Gaia Towns, one of the newer features Gaia is working on. It exists in real time, and you can make your avatar walk around and talk to NPCs and other users. It's not working very well at the moment, but once everything is fixed, the whole thing will be released to everyone. So don't worry.

Alright, so.
I'm able to view the Gaia Towns forum, but not the threads. I'm sneaky like that. If I were to fiddle with some robot cache-ing, I could probably view the threads as well.
There's been screenshots sent around the net and on different sites as well, some like Geocities.
And if the link is a static URL where one simply needs to log-in with their username and password, then I could also easily find out this link and log-in myself without having been invited.
Man, am I leet or what? o_0
