Annnd... No. Right now, I need to work on digging the hole. There's not gonna be any light down there, except that of a D rank jutsu I conveniently found and taught David, and you wouldn't be able to get in and out for supplies without help. Not exactly a convenient workshop.

ANd this is probably as much of me as you will see today, so goodbye until tomorrow. I could tell you things about Easter that would make you wish it wasn't a Christian holiday. Cause, well, it's not. We just took an existing one and slapped Jesus on it, cause it was convenient. (Rather, the Catholics did.)

All christian holidays have pagan history behind it. The reason why they did it was because it was easier for people to transfer to the new religion. Christmas was the same. There's of course a christian reason behind it, but the day and some traditions (like the eggs and the bunny and what not) are pagan. It just made the transition between religions a lot smoother...it was actually pretty smart

Yes, I know of the history of a lot of christian holidays, some good and some bad, but I'm going by my own definition of what Easter means: Celebrating that Jesus got out of the tomb and went to heaven. @Everyone: If I come back, and a religious fight (as in "you're wrong!', "no, YOU'RE wrong!" kind of fight) has been sparked in this or any chatroom by any person........I'll let your imaginations run wild with what the punishment would be. Someone, post a new topic for the chatroom.

Scratch that, I can't tell you. Zane beat me to it. XD
We did a study on that in church a couple years ago. The origins of random things we associate with the holiday. Christmas tree? Ishtar. Easter ham? Ishtar. Pretty much any random thing on a Christian holiday that doesn't quite fit the meaning the Christians gave it? Ishtar. The Catholics wanted to pull people in, but they already had a religion, so they came up with overlaps to try and mix the religions and draw people in. That's one reason I don't really like Catholicism. It's full of random little bits they pulled in from elsewhere. Even the Crucifix leaves a bad taste. (Take him off the cross already!)
Our church has stopped calling it Easter, cause Easter is just a play on Ishtar, and started calling it Resurrection Sunday instead.

Not sure where the candy came from... I know the bunny was because Ishtar's son (I think it was her son.) loved hunting rabbits. He was then mauled by a boar (Easter Ham), and died, and was buried under an evergreen tree. (Christmas tree)
