"Leave Kaiori. Just go. Take Thanatos and Raven with you. Even the one who hides from us in the trees. All of you should leave. There are terrible things I am about to do. The consquences will be grave. I was given the chance to walk away. I didn't take it. Now look where I'm at. I'm giving you all the same chance. A fair chance to live. If you leave now, I will spare your lives. Xol and I have some business that needs to be settled once and for all. After it's over, there will be no garunteeing your survival."
Irvine turned away from them all. His golden eyes flickered to their normal silver. His last "noble" act before he was finally consumed by the darkness. They flickered back to gold and he stayed turned around. There was one last thing he needed to do.

I don't intend on killing Xol. He is far beyond death. Its pointless really. Ofcourse, I'm also far beyond death. We've gone at it far more times then we should have. The fact of the matter is, we both refuse to die. We are both masters of Death. Xol figured this out and proprosed an alliance. I accepted. I asked you to leave for your safety. You didn't comply. Therefore, next we meet, our blades will be on opposite sides of the battle field. Do not expect mercy, for you shall receive none."
Irvine drew the shadows to him. The aura beneath his feet returned and began to swirl around him. He turned slightly towards them and stared at his "friends" for the last time.

A large tree whizzes through the air and slams into the ground at Kaiori and Thanatos' feet. After the dust settles from the impact, Xol stands defiant, crimson eyes narrowed at the two.
"Aye, did you enjoy Irvine's little speech? It was only a matter of time before we came to a mutual agreement. Just a few more names to check off of my list and a large goal of mine will be accomplished..." His lip curled upwards in a demeaning sneer, just enough to reveal his right fang.

Irvine smirked. He replied to them one last time.
"But you are bound Thanatos! Your father created you to become a weapon. And thats what he intends on using you for! Your just to naieve to see it! You really think your father cares about you? He only sees your okay because he needs you! You say you can walk your on path, that fate has nothing to with who you are. But if that's true, why did you not heed the warnings about your father? Why did you go and see him? Fate brought you together. As for you Kaiori. You've already missed your chance to help me. Where were you when Xol killed me? Where were you when I was captured in Mastema's fortress? Where were you when I was blind? WHEN HAVE YOU EVER TRIED TO HELP ME?! Never! And now, when I'm beyond help, you come to me. To save me. Your to late. Goodbye. For good."
Irvine's aura engulfed him. And just like the setting sun, he disappeared into night's blanket of darkness.

"Nothing from you Kaiori..." He snapped, turning to his gaze to Thanatos.
"Poor little, confused Thanny. Everything Irvine said was true, but the saddest part is that everyone except you has realized it. Mastema is only "nice", and I use that term loosely, to the people he wants, or rather in your case, needs something from. You're his ulitmate weapon and yet you refuse to believe it, even though you know his true nature." Xol simply shrugged and chuckled lightly.
