Ceris was quickly informed that the fire prince was requesting his assistance. Thankfully, the mage wasn't healing anyone at the moment and thus headed in a hasty fashion towards the door. With a quick exhale, the cleric straightened up, brushing a hand through dark purple hair. "Is anything wrong, Ruehl?"

----- - - -

"Well, he's of the fire nation, a nation full of peasants and the like, clearly not something I assumed a storms noble would be with. But it makes sense now since you're part of that sorry excuse for a race as well. Like I said, I do suppose you deserve eachother. A half-breed and a pathetic fire peasant. How ironically fitting," Julian murmured, eying the random bursts of flame warily.

((lulz, better than just saying "Julian got bored and walked off." xD ))

"I don't care about that," Alti replied, his tone bitingly cold. Alti didn't care if Haar was a peasant -- that wasn't what scared him. What scared him was that every day, every moment... Haar's life was in jeopardy. Even if he wasn't out on a mission, he was a member of the military -- a commander, no less -- and there were certainly people who would do their best to target such a man. At any moment, Haar could be attacked... could be wounded or killed or taken away. But it wasn't that Alti doubted Haar's skill -- he simply knew that the enemy could quite easily be far more powerful.

"Anyway, I'm sure your relationship is just as fitting," he continued angrilly. A closet healer and a man who hated healers, right? Far more ironic than Alti's relationship with Haar.

Ruehl swallowed hard and steadied his breathing from the run before getting straight to his purpose. "I wondered if you knew where I could find the Commander. It's... er..important."

He wasn't sure how to convey exactly the urgency he finding Shay, but he hoped Ceris would help him as best he could.

[[Heh. this is true. Sorry this is so late, I took a shower. :<]]

Julian laughed. His laugh was expected of his attitude, haughty and completely condescending. "And what is that supposed to mean?" As if his own relationship with Kaelin could ever sink so low as to be compared with Haar and Alti's? Brushing a hand through cool light, almost white, blue hair, the willowy man continued to laugh. "Oh, boy, you have no idea what you're talking about~"

[[Oh, but he does.]]

"Right then," he agreed. Weaving through the crowd, his hand set about the other's as to intend to keep hold of the rose, the Death prince soon found himself faced with the situation much more closely. Whilst the man may have stepped off him, and the violet-haired boy seemed magically enraged, he also seemed injured.

Muertian cleared his throat and said, "We just wanted to make sure everything was all right over here."

Alti was about to reply heatedly when a decidedly calmer (and much nicer than Julian's) voice interupted them. Alti's golden-orange gaze flickered away from Julian and onto Muertian, surprise quelling the small fires that had been materializing and disapearing in quick succession. Those bright orbs moved from the blond teen on to the pink-haired figure, who seemed vaguely... familiar. She was probably someone Allora had been talking with... maybe. Alti did really remember, though.

Rosaline did, however. Though the rose had not often met with the dark-haired teen's mother, he had often made dresses for and exchanged letters with her. Besides being a well known healer all across the Nation, Allora had a very particular way of presenting herself. All in all, she was a very unforgetable woman -- and Alti, though he differed from her as far as colors went, did look much like her in his bone structure. Besides which, Rosaline was very good at remembering faces.

Rosaline gasped slightly in recognition, dark eyes widening. "You wouldn't... aren't you Allora's son? I'm sorry, I don't think we've ever really met, but, uhm.... I've... worked for her some, so I think.... ah...." Rosaline flushed delicately, looking quite unsure of himself. Besides his faltering words, this really wasn't the time to be asking such things. All in all, he felt quite embarrassed with himself.

Alti, however, didn't really seemed to be phased. "Y-yeah... I am...." he murmured slowly. He was rather used to people recognizing him at random intervals. After all, his mother was quite well known....

Bright eyes glanced back over towards Julian, giving the man a foul look before they returned to Rosaline. "Ehh... I thought you looked a bit familiar... but... yeah, anyway, I suppose I'm... alright -- so long as this b*****d leaves, at least," he said, shooting Julian another overly potent glare.

"And here I thought we could have a conversation without you throwing fire balls at me, but I was sorely mistaken. I suppose I'll have to talk to you later then." Julian didn't want to get in any actual trouble, especially with the fire nation. Haar obviously already knew about the ice native's earlier encounter with the boy and because the commander couldn't prove anything (since he hadn't actually seen anything) and it was doubtful that a storm's boy, noble or not, would be taken seriously Julian had been quite safe. But only safe because he had had only one witness, he couldn't afford to have anymore than that. He would retreat for now. Hoping to find an easier way to pry things out of the teen, or perhaps negate the possibility of ever having to be in his presence again due to his...disgusting heritage.

Julian clenched wiry fingers into a fist as he walked away. He really needed to get back at the child for even daring to say there was anything ironically wrong with Kaelin and him.

Muertian was taken aback in mild surprise at Rosaline's sudden connection. Flashing a glare at the man's retreating presence, he didn't feel the need to incense him into retracting his offer to leave. Once he'd left, Muertian threw an arm about Rosaline's shoulder and hugged him from the side. "That was brilliant, Rosaline! You actually know him?! You're so smart!" Extending a hand in greeting to Alti, he smiled, "I'm glad you're ok!" ... Shall we get you some ice or something for your neck? Or... I don't know of any healing places in town, but I'm sure there are some. I'd like to cover the charge for you- oh, wait. He didn't .... do anything inappropriate, did he?"

Alti sighed in relief as Julian left. He didn't really care about the man's words -- particularly not when he had a very good come back indeed (though he would prefer not to use it because Kaelin didn't seem to be that bad or anything from what Alti had seen and the Storms native really didn't want to get him in trouble if he could avoid it). But the boy was sufficiently distracted by the blond's sudden, exuberent words. And so was Rosaline, apparently.

The rose flushed as Muertian placed an arm on his shoulder and complimented him. Brilliant... brilliant, Muertian had just said he was brilliant! Really, the rose was now quite red all over. He was so, so happy.... The bright flush now covered not only his cheeks, but also his neck and ears. He really was quite enamored. "E-ehh, really?" he mumbled a bit shyly. "I... didn't think it... I... I mean.... thank you," he said, not quite sure why what he had done had been "brilliant" but happy all the same. He looked quite confuzed, though.

"Hmm? Ah... thanks...." Alti replied. He had just pressed a finger to a particularly painful bruise. Wincing, the golden-eyed boy continued, "I dunno... I mean, ice might be good but it's already pretty cold outside..." Alti offered up a bit of a grin, surprised that he could manage even that. "--Wait, what?" Alti asked, cheeks flushing slightly as he realised what Muertian had just asked. "N-no! Well... I don't know if bruising my neck can really be called appropriate, but he didn't do... that or anything," Alti said rather akwardly.

"And I... uhh... know a healing place.... but I don't really want to go there..." Because if Xel is there I'll never hear the end of it. Ceris knew, too, of course... but Alti didn't think he'd make fun of Alti since he was in a similar position. Wait. Didn't that mean that Xel shouldn't make fun of him, either? But then, that man was prone to do whatever he wanted so it really wasn't surprising....

"Can't you... heal it yourself?" Rosaline asked curiously. Of course, he didn't know the boundary upon which he was intruding. He just knew that Allora was a renowned healer and that Alti was her son.

At this, the dark-haired teen's cheeks were peppered with a bright pink. "Y-yeah... probably. But I'm not really... good at healing. I'm not like Mum."

"O-oh...."

((Two very akward teens! lulz, I seem to have a knack for creating akward people. xD; ))

[[Oops, I didn't see this yesterday.]]

Ceris looked lightly troubled, his expression turning to one of concern to something slightly different. "Now that you mention it, I'm not quite sure where he is." Cyrus hadn't exactly mentioned to anyone else where him and two ...companions were headed off to do, of course the generals back at the capital knew but the ranger had told no one else. It probably hadn't been the smartest thing to do but he didn't want to drag anyone else into the whole mess of the situation.

"If I could guess I would suppose he's somewhere with Alti so maybe if you find him, Haar will be with him? Or possibly Alti knows where he is? I know they're rooming together so it's likely they're together," the mage explained before looking back for a quick moment.

"Anything else?"

[LOL Rosy and Alti are so awkward!]

"Ooh! Well, that's good! I was a little concerned because it looked suspicious from across the way... " Muertian nodded, relieved that Alti hadn't been 'violated', but continued to crane his own neck to inspect the other boy's throat in a rather awkward position himself. Suddenly remembering his position and hearing Rosaline's questioning voice behind him, Muertian whipped himself away. It was curious to him that Alti didn't desire to go to a Healing House. Muertian's blue eyes glanced from Rosaline to Alti and back again at the intriguing connection between the two. How connected his little lady was!

Despite the fact that he and Alti were approximately the same age, Muertian seemed to value his opinion much higher than the noble's given the fact that he was a prince and a particularly self-confident, prideful one. Naturally, he announced his executive decision in 'best interest' of Alti. "Ok, I think you need to show us this Healing House- because your neck should be checked out, and I'm sorry but- clearly, you are not up to the task."

Faryn looked about the restaurant as he spoke, fully conscious of the folded cape being offered to him. He hoped that if he hesitated, even waited longer than the usual hesitation Jillian might feel discouraged and take it back. Faryn looked down at the table, continuing to ignore the parcel as Jillian answered him, nodding in understanding to the acceptance of their pure metals for exchange.

When the stubborn diplomat hadn't taken the hint, the prince raised his eyes to gaze at the other and protested, "You needn't do that. You'll be cold. I'm really okay."

((I know! I think a lot of my chars are... xD;; ))

The blond was staring at him a little too much. All in all, he seemed rather a bit too much interested in Alti's affairs.... Besides which, he really didn't want to go to a healing house! Or, at least, not that one.... Xel was going to make fun of him because he had... had walked in on him with Haar and.... Those pale cheeks were once again peppered with that bright crimson hue.

"I... I can heal it myself...." he mumbled stubbornly, his dark brow furrowed over those bright eyes. "I-I mean... it's just some small bruises. Nothing major. It's not like I'll die or anything," he continued. Anyway, what was up with the other's authoritative voice? If he was carding around such a... a pretty girl (because, really, even if he did like Haar he couldn't deny that the seamstress was quite lovely)... and if he spoke with such a voice.... he had to be either rich, stuck-up, royal, or some combination of the three.

"A-are you sure? They look rather bad...." Rosaline murmured, concern evident in his tone.

Alti flushed again. "I'm f-fine." He wasn't very convincing, though.

**

Jillian didn't allow the other's stubborn reluctance to discourage him. Rather, it was the opposite. THough it really wasn't his place, the mint-haired diplomat did take some small pride in the fact that Faryn wasn't so self-centered and conceited as to only think of himself -- not that Jillian thought that, of course. He had thought something similar to that when he had first met the boy... but there were so many layers to Faryn -- like an onion, but without the smell.

A light smile graced the older male's lips. "It's no trouble at all. I was raised partly in the Ice Kingdom, after all. Besides, I am already wearing a very heavy jacket..." he said, gestering to the coat he had been wearing beneath the cloak. It really did look quite warm.

Skidding to a halt in front of the healing center, where several clerics were stationed including Ceris, Xel blurted out in a rather impatient fashion, "Ceris, you won't believe what I saw this morning, Haar and--" The knight stopped mid-sentence, brown eyes fulling comprehending the look of horror on the mage's face. Xel followed the other's stare and was soon gazing at Prince Ruehl.

Changing the subject, Xel clutched his side. "C-Ceris, on second thought I think I need medical attention," the knight said in a strained voice as he stubled into the cleric's arms. "Aggh~ I'm...fading. I just ran here so fast and I'm not as young as I used to be you know," the older man continued. Xel was only twenty-six but he'd play the old factor a bit in front of Ruehl. "And I was sparring yesterday, I just think I tore something..."
