Not so a creature with a soul, for the soul grants us free will, the power to do anything, with no limitations upon us but our own minds. I am not immortal, my body will not age, at least not in the forseeable future, but I can be killed, and quite easily. An immortal with a soul would be unstoppable. so the gods have never allowed such to come to pass." Gel waved at the newcomer and sipped his tea.

Aonice nodded.. "OOh, so now i see, it''s all a balance, immortals get alot of power, but have no souls, but humans and mortals have alot of trouble with using power, but we get the souls and arent limited.

"Portalwarden, the title given to those who travel throughout all the realms of existence. I am a member of the wardens, we have existed for as long as the universe has. It is why I am capable of the things i do, and why I cannot, or more to the point dare not learn magic. It is also why I know so much about demons and other lands and ways and types of power."

"Just say whatever you feel like saying." "What do yuo think the end of the world is gonna be like? Considering all the crap going on, it should be within the next couple of generations, like maybe my grand children" she asked Gel.

"Well that depends on what you mean by the end of the world, I have seen several societies fall to ruin, but their worlds did not end, they continued on as if that society had never existed. Do you expect the planet to crack in two, or be drowned in flood or engulfed in fire?"
