Her notable roles include: Isabella in Miami Vice, Juxian in Farewell My Concubine, Hatsumomo in Memoirs of a Geisha, Lady Murasaki Shikibu in Hannibal Rising, and Empress Phoenix in Curse of the Golden Flower.

I think Gong Li's amazing!...
Especially in Memoirs of a Geisha and Curse of the Golden Flower...
Even though those are the only two I've seen with her in...

Infact, the chinese media criticized the making of 'Memoirs of a Geisha' because of it - like, "The most japanese women are chinese..?" sweatdrop

But I agree, the actresses/actors did exceptional in Memoirs 8D

I agree. Gong Li is a wonderful actor.
I think she can get into her role really well.
The acting role she played in Memoirs of a Geisha was splendid.
I think Zhang ZiYi is just a pretty face. And she only looks pretty when she's smiling. Most of the time, she looks kind of bitchy. >.<
Gong Li is so much better, but not everyone thinks that way... f(_ _")
However, I think Zhang ZiYi looks prettier than Gong Li.
And yes, Mrs Japan won...
