Startled, Malodore bowed to the Protector of War. "A pleasure to see you again, Lady Heir," it murmured, though it had only seen her briefly prior to this. They had shared far more time with Invictus... though Riley had been on the Isle of War without it. Hm. I'm afraid she may have deepened her acquaintance with you at a time when I was not present to observe, it told Riley, by way of explanation - it had no memory to offer other than brief flickers. ... Its skills were needed. "Thank you - I will return, mia cara," it said, with some relief. It would not need to choose between her and its sworn oaths. Before she and Eris moved to the dance floor, it sent a caress of affection towards her, then hurried over to the now-broken Aymet and those around him. "Here - ah, merde," it swore as it knelt next to Amrita. As Cricket had taught it, the plague doctor extended a bit of its FEAR to feel for Aymet's own. The body, though... it felt inert, empty of FEAR. All it could feel was residue, along the pathways where Aymet's FEAR had traveled. But the thing Amrita was holding was still bright with FEAR. "... That," it said, pointing at the phylactery. "He is present, there. This body is inanimate..."

At least Shehk kind of managed to pull Jericho away after Aymet fell apart completely. He stared at the others, not sure what the hell had just happened. It was making him really nervous though. Had the Dracolich been attacked? Was there danger around? "Did.. Did anyone see Aymet with any strangers?" he asked quickly, "Or if he ate or drank anything?"The dragon was trying to think of reason why this happened and his conclusions were all not so great. Though, at the request to go fetch Malodore, he nodded and quickly rushed off to find the plague doctor. Thankfully, he didn't have to go far. In fact, it was already here.

This was definitely a cause for concern. Stepping a little closer, he shot Mitsu a glance before looking as Amrita picked up the phylactery that Aymet always wore. It looked like something was oozing out of that. Apparently that was where the dragon was still contained. "Hopefully," he murmured quietly to the wolf before moving around to gather up the loose bones here and there. Once he had them, he brought them over to the pile.

Christof watched the Prom Court announcement from the rafters, making sure the chandelier- or what d left of it, had someone painted some of the bulbs rainbows?? when he spotted the collapse. What was going on down there? By th etime he had managed to climb back down to the auditorium floor, there was a crowd gathering around a scattered series of bones. He limped his way to Amrita and Malodore's sides with an anxious grunt. Was everyone alright? Was that.. had that been a student?? Seeing the others gathering the pieces, he hurried to help, casting his friends a nervous look. A REAL death at Prom would certainly put a damper on things. "What-did-you-do?" He signed to Amrita as he scrambled to collect the bones. And all of the scattered Parts were far too decayed to be of any worth to him, so he completely failed to pocket any. If Malodore needed him, he kept himself handy close by.

That was about all Chryses's rather inflated sense of pride could take. He had been laughed at, mocked, condescended to, and generally treated like a scareling. With the Horsewoman gone, he saw absolutely no reason to even continue pretending to be polite. He pulled out his pocket watch to take a glance at the time. "I've wasted enough time on you. I see no reason to stay here and continue to subject myself to humiliation. Have an excellent prom by yourself, Reaper," he said. He still remembered her name, but by the next time they met he would have forgotten hers and that damnable Horsewoman's. Ghouls. Far more trouble than they would ever be worth. He left prom in a fairly obvious huff and went back to his dorm. [Ditching his date! =D]

"Thank you, Mitsu. I hope so!" Amrita replied to Mitsu's question, trying to keep a cheerful face about it. Her attention quickly turned to Malodore as the Doctor knelt at her side, gazing down to the phylactery as it was pointed out. Aymet was...this thing? If it were possible, Amrita looked even more troubled.
"But, Mal..." She shifted her hand a little bit, letting the open break show clear for a moment. "It's broken! Is he...gonna be okay?" Jericho's question had her turning to face him, still trying to keep herself together too. She was about to answer his question when Christof came bumbling over, signing to her. This time she could understand what he was saying, and that probably wasn't a good thing.
"I didn't do anything!" Her response was a little more heated, trying to come to her own defense. This wasn't her fault! "I found his tail, he came to get it, we talked a bit, he sat down, his voice got all weird and then he just collapsed!" Not her fault! "He seemed like himself! A little more tired I guess, but..." She trailed off again, frowning down at the phylactery. It really wasn't her fault...was it?
"Thanks for helping get his pieces..." She cast a belated glance - and a thin smile - to those who were helping pick up her friend. His body may have been inanimate now, but it was his body! If her patchy self was in pieces, she'd probably want to be collected too, even if she wasn't in it. Do onto others and whatnot.

Because a dance like this just wasn't fun with only two people Caramelldansen-ing it up on the dance floor - and it was a good thing that she had no idea what had just happened to Aymet - Lizzy decided to grab the nearest stranger, and pulled him to the dance floor with a smile, "Join in?"
Of course, three wasn't enough. They clearly need more; prom was ending, and it wouldn't come back for another year... Yes, surely they must end with at least something legend - wait for it - ary!
So, she cleared her throat, and basically yelled."EVERYBODY DANCE NOW!"It wasn't at the level of a Jericho-yell, but it was good enough for her, since she was pretty sure that she could be heard over the music. Besides, maybe Mac'll hear her and come over on his own.

Shun frowned while thinking about all of this. Though as he stared at the cracked phylactery, along with what Jericho was saying, something did come to mind. "He hasn't been attacked today... no," he murmured while thinking back to a day or so ago in the Haunted House, "The blow from the hunter must have been harder than it seemed."Then hearing Lizzy, he paused as he heard the music that was currently playing. ... Yeah. He just kept picking up the scattered bones. iizbot Keeping this vague since it hasn't been rp'd out yet XD

Enzo had devolved into laughter at the cowboy reaper's discomfort, although he was disappointed the whole ordeal hadn't gained him a swing-partner. Damn. He was about to head off to try to talk some sense into Mjoll when a small pink-haired demon (The prom queen? Oh, snap!) Grabbed him by the arm to pull him in. Now, generally, Enzo was a fan of learning new dances. He picked them up quickly, knew how to bust a groove without missing a beat... but as he trid to study what the Prom Queen did, he couldn't help but frown. The roaches and rats picking about any dropped refreshments at their feet seemed to catch onto the spirit of things a bit quicker at least. Even so... the dance felt unnatural, somehow.

Salbei had been distracted. Very distracted. There were two ghouls over there doing a ridiculously adorable dance to a ridiculously annoying adorable song. It looked simple enough, just a few moves repeated over and over...
He wanted to try it.
"Let's dance!" The tall, very-robed horseman grabbed Taima's wrist, dragging her over to the ghouls; unless she protested, in which case he'd let her go and, well, her loss! It wasn't only Taima though, as he passed by some scarelings he tapped them on the shoulder too, red eyes shining with mirth as he urged them to come dance with him and their peers.
"Come, come! You are young, enjoy the times you can be silly!" He urged cheerfully to the especially grumpy looking star Dragon, poking, prodding and gently guiding others into the growing dance circle. To the lovely horsewoman he tapped, he added. "When in Halloween, yes?" Needle's attention was also distracted by the ghouls who were dancing. Prom was all about dancing, and while Muka was a very good partner, she didn't imagine they had danced nearly enough for this. So when it seemed that more were gathering to join in, Needle was on it.
"Ulmuka!" She whispered, the stoic voice piquing in the smallest excitement, pointing in the general direction of the ghouls. Silly dance! The owl wasn't really given much of a choice as she tugged insistently on his sleeve, already walking towards the tiny forming group. "Kiwi, come with us!" She invited, smiling softly.
...! Oh, look, her sister! And Petro! She couldn't quite see what they were up to but as she passed, an ink stained hand curled around her sister's wrist, pulling her gently forward. "Come, come! They are doing a silly dance! Let us also do a silly dance!" The invitation was open to both Lattice and Petro, but it seemed of the two of them it was Lattice with the least say in the matter.LP Just so you know where everyone is!

Lattice being submissive to the whims of her Sister didn't need much coaxing to follow along though she did reach out toward Petro after she'd made sure his wound was bound up, "Petro, come with us?" she asked softly.
If the dance ended she would ... somehow find her way back toward him, she hoped.

Muka wouldn't argue! He'd been watching above Kiwi's shoulder as a dragon looking boil fell to pieces but suddenly dancing was on the agenda and he clacked his teeth happily. "More dancing!" There was a giggled of excitement as he was led to the dance floor. He wasn't familiar with this particular dance so he simply fell in line with all the ghouls and tried to dupicate it. Apparently he really only did ONE dance.

Sheridan would have objected to being called grumpy. He was not grumpy, in fact not counting a specific earlier incident, the dragon was having a grand time, enjoying dances with his ghoul, devouring several spookies from the refreshment table, and in general enjoying himself. It was however quite understandable why the horseman would have thought him as such. He had taken a step forward, then stopped, a brow raised and his arms crossing with a rather grumpy 'hmph!' and a flick of his tail. "There is no way I am dancing that." No way, no how, not a chance above or below the stars, never! Maybe...

Shaheen had just finished finding out what her prize was and was debating looking for the two students she had shanghai'd into helping her, still wondering where in the world her date had disappeared to now that the prospect of winning shiny new things had worn off. She was just starting to cross the dance floor, heading back to where she had left the overly sensitive ghoul-like demon and the purple haired Reaper when a tap on her shoulder had her whirling around, the feathers in her wings ruffling up, and her dress swishing on her hips. When in Halloween what? She wanted to ask, but the horseman was already off, heading towards a group of students who were dancing(?) in a very odd way. It was like nothing she'd ever seen before, and she suddenly realized her mouth was gaping open, probably because initially she had been ready to protest but the sight of all the dancing had struck her into muteness. Oddly enough, she found that she actually sort of wanted to join in, because it did just look rather fun and silly and when did she ever get to do things like that? When had she ever, in her entire life, just cut loose and relaxed and enjoyed things other then battle? So it was that Shaheen, the chieftain of war, found herself drawn towards the crowd, studying their movements. She gave the horseman an apprehensive look, one that said "are you sure?" And then she joined in the dance, a slow smirk spreading across her face that eventually turned into a grin.
