I have to say, I love the conspiracy theories people have going about how the Gold nerf is a devious scheme Gaia has hatched to force players into buying GC so they can get more Power-ups.

Yeah. The glitches totally have nothing to do with the fact that there are only about 2 devs working on the game and one artist. Not at all. The zOMG! forum.
