The girl nodded and smiled again. "Very well. It will be ready shortly." And with a quick little curtsy she was off to the kitchens.
Earendil chuckled as Andarien stretched further, grunting as he strained to reach the vase. "He's found something to interest him," he grinned. "Hopefully his food will distract him, when it comes."

Lin shook her head and gently tapped Andarien on the nose, "Eating another flower isn't going to make it taste any better."
Since he had already splat out the last flower he tried to eat yesterday.
Miyuki giggled at her little brother, "He's trying really, really hard to get it."

"He is," Earendil laughed. "I've a feeling he's going to be quite the stubborn one when he gets older!"
Andarien blinked at the tap, going cross-eyed trying to see the end of his nose where people seemed to like touching him. "Dah!"

Lin chuckled at that, considering they were all stubborn to a point it wasn't that surprising really.
"Wait now, you'll get something yummy to eat too," she tried tickling him to distract him from the flowers.

Andarien squealed and curled up in a ball, his pudgy little fingers grabbing at Lin's hands.
Earendil laughed. "Ticklish little one, isn't he?" he chuckled. "We'll have to remember that for when he's grumpy."

Lin laughed at that, "I think they all start out a bit ticklish. It certainly helps when nothing else works."
Though she couldn't remember ever tickling Miyuki when she was little, but she knew she was ticklish when she was little.

"That is true," Earendil grinned just as the serving girl returned with a second server, both of them carrying trays of food.
The two set the trays on the table, and the young girl smiled at the group again. "Your porridge," she said, indicating the steaming bowl; and then she went on to explain the other trays: "Two servings of bacon, two of sausage, three of eggs, eight pieces of bread, four toasted and four not, three breakfast rolls, fresh from the oven ..."
She paused as the second server, a boy who looked about her age, set a small dish on the table.
"And butter," she concluded with a giggle.

There was so much, Lin hadn't realized how much there were until she saw it all.
Lin grinned at that, "This is perfect, thank you."
From the looks of it, they could share just about everything.
Miyuki was already eying the sausages, though she admitted the breakfast rolls looked good too, and the bread...

The girl smiled. "Thank you. If there's anything else you need, please don't hesitate to let us know."
"Thank you, I think we'll be fine for now," Earendil assured the girl.
With a curtsy, the girl left, followed by the boy after a quick bow at the waist.

Once the two were gone, Lin looked down at Miyuki.
There was already an eagerness in the girl's eyes, which was good because for the moment she would forget about wanting to go out. Her tails waved back and forth showing how eager she was.
"What are you interested in?" Lin inquired, amused at how easily distracted Miyuki could become.
"The sausages look good.... and the breakfast rolls," Miyuki looked up at her parents.

Earendil chuckled. "Sausages and rolls it is," he grinned. He passed forward the tray that had those items on it, though it also included two eggs (easy over) and two pieces of untoasted bread.
"Bread or toast with it?" he asked. "We can switch that around easily enough."
Andarien spotted his chance and reached for one of the slices of bread, stuffing it towards his mouth and getting only a bit of the middle of the bread for his trouble.

"Toast!" Miyuki exclaimed before giggling, "But Andarien got one first!"
She wondered if her little brother could even eat that and she wasn't the only one.
Lin was tugging the toast out of Andarien's hands, "Can you even eat that without choking?"
She didn't want to risk it but it was bit difficult to try and fish whatever he did put into his mouth back out.
"We have porridge for you."

Andarien looked up at Lin innocently, sucking on the piece of bread. It wasn't nearly as soft as he was used to, but he didn't seem to mind. In fact he seemed to be rather enjoying himself.
Earendil chuckled at Lin. "Best get him the porridge sooner rather than later," he grinned as he changed the bread for toast on Miyuki's tray. "He's going to try for the rest of your meal otherwise."

Lin brought the porridge closer to her so she could feed him, "But first I need that bread he has in his mouth. I think he's sucking it which is fine but he can't eat if he's still sucking it."
She wasn't sure how she was going to do that at all to be honest.

The movement attracted Andarien's attention, and he leaned forward and reached his hand out, trying to grab a handful of the porridge. He was still smacking his lips as he sucked on the bread, but when he managed to get a finger into the porridge, he swallowed it down easily enough.
"I think he just likes to suck on it, personally," Earendil commented, pulling a second tray towards himself. "Do you need a hand feeding him?"
