[Dani :: Angel Grove :: City] Dani had no time to react to what was going on around her. She tried to follow everything going on and the fact that she as not really moving didn’t help matters. She decided to scan the area before making a move. When Dani started moving around, she made sure to dodge most of the fighting to start off with, she passed Kyle and Terra in order to get a better vantage point. When she reached a lamp post she sat in a crouching position waiting for the right moment. She also noticed Terra heading straight for Alan and decided it was time to step in herself. Dani raised up both of her hands as the chakrams started to pick up speed. This would be a good time to try one of her assassin techniques. ‘Oblivion..’ Dani said in her mind before attaching them quickly into the chakrams. The chakrams decided to glow for a quick second, not enough to be really noticed, before going inside of the chakrams. Dani then stood on the lamppost and flicked both of the chakrams right at Terra’s back. If Terra did not notice the chakrams, she would be hit and have a slight chance of being addled. Dani hopped this would provide a little bit of protection for Alan as well.

[Carribean Sea ~ The Black Pearl]
Noelle had pretty much gone unnoticed. This made Titan's statement, as much as she hated it, true. Everyone was in the fight but her, and this made her frustrated. Without earth she had no healing capabilities, and little magic to work with. This didn't mean she was completely useless though. She was already thinking of ways to work around her weakness. One of them was a little far fetched and would need some time, but it was worth a try. Out of the corner of her eye, the agromancer saw James take some rather nasty hits and fall to his knees. She grimaced and ran towards him, tugging at a carved stone canteen at her hip. It wasn't the same one as her pitcher plant canteen--this one was smaller and had a different shape engraved in the front of it.
"James!" She said as she approached him, almost backing up towards him to keep her eyes on their enemies. She held out the little canteen towards her friend, simultaneously pulling several seeds from her pouch. "You okay? Put this on your wounds. It won't heal them but it will help."
When James opened up the container, he would find it filled with a kind of sticky sap. This sap she collected from a Give and Take tree in the jungle. When put on his wounds, the sap would ease some of James' pain and stop the bleeding. Meanwhile, Noelle was pressing the seeds she took in between her hands. Each of them flattened and some of the smaller ones fused together to become bigger and weightier. As soon as she was finished making the Seed Strike, she looked for an opening. Hopefully she was continuing to go unnoticed so she could land a hit and actually do some damage.
Prote caught Noelle's movements and could see what she was trying to do. He had seen her make the attack once before and knew what was necessary. He watched her lock her eyes on a target, Xaldin, and wait for the perfect time. He decided he was going to give it to her. Prote jumped into the battle, coming at Xaldin with fierce speed as his right arm elongated and changed into a blade. The agromancer saw Prote's move and made her own, throwing several of her seeds in the spear weilder's direction. She could only hope the simultaneous attacks would overwhelm him.

{James : Caribbean Sea : Black Pearl}
James had yet to rise, the pain was too great and the bleeding was making him feel rather weak. His attention focused on Noelle as she called out his name and before long she was standing in front of him, back slightly to him so as not to expose her back to the enemy offering him the canteen.
"Definitely not okay... but I've been through worse. Thanks Noelle." He replied with a small smile as he took the canteen.
It was always Noelle, well not always, but more often than not it was. Not that the corsair would be complaining about that fact, They both always had each other's backs through it all. He could tell by the feel of the canteen it was carved from stone, no doubt the handicraft of the Terramancer and her earthen giant. He reached his hand into it to find it was a strange kind of sap, and did as Noelle instructed and put it on his wounds and he did so. It wasn't exactly a pleasant feeling at first, but it got better and it stopped the bleeding at least. It would work to make sure he didn't pass out from blood loss. When he had finished he rose back to his feet, testing the weight on his leg. He could stand, but he would have to be careful. Noelle's methods of healing were not always as strong as the typical potion or cure spell, but they did the trick. Her magical augmentations to some of her plants were cool. Just that thought gave the corsair an idea.
'The hexagun draws elemental energy from the cards... I wonder if it can draw energy from other things as well...'
'It's worth trying at the very least.' Fenrir replied, despite the corsair not really expecting one.
"Hey Noelle, Can you give me a seed? I want to try something..." He said, still trying to make sure he could stay upright on the rolling ship.

[ Yuffie ; Beatrix ; Axel ; Seymour : Angel Grove : City Streets ]
Beatrix watched, calmly, as Leon and Kyle both attempted to swing at her; with an eerie ease, she deflected the blows with her own blade, her strength having seemingly increased in the duration of her absence. She did not, however, counter-attack, because she was distracted by the sudden Lotus Shields surrounding Yuffie and Axel.
Axel, of course, attempted to open a Corridor of Darkness, but the tendrils of Darkness fizzled out of existence mere moments after appearing, causing both the Nobody and the Ninja to glance at Beatrix, their faces remaining as lifeless as before. Beatrix merely nodded.
Suddenly, her body became enveloped in the all-telling black aura of Darkness, wafting up from her body like a smokey flame as she held her blade to the side; in a blur of motion, she did a complete 360-degree spin, attacking both Leon and Kyle with a wave of Darkness...
And shattering the Lotus Shields behind her in the same motion.
Kyla, the source of the prisons' strength, would have felt a sudden surge of Darkness backfire through the strings of her mana, like fire entering her veins for a moment as the shields were broken, allowing both Yuffie and Axel freedom. Both of them vanished in a blur of motion, their speeds amplified by the Darkness of Ooze's mind control.
Axel had gone straight for Bobbi, appearing behind her as he tried to strike with his two chakrams, both blazing with magic fire.
Yuffie appeared in Kyla's blind spot, her own giant-shuriken covered in a black aura as she attempted to slash at the pictomancer's back.
Beatrix, meanwhile, used the distraction caused by her previous attack to dash between Leon and Kyle, going instead for the gun-toting Nicholas, her blade charged with a crackling aura of black-and-purple.
Seymour, eyes narrowed as the battle began, caste a quick Haste spell on Kyle, followed by Amy, hoping the two speedier fighters would be able to help out.

[ Xaldin ; Kyle ; Sora ; Kuja : Caribbean Sea : Black Pearl ]
Kyle growled as Larxene somersaulted away, having used his own attack as a method of escape. However, he didn't have time to complain; he was too busy evading the Thundaga spell.
Physical attacks against Larxene just aren't fast enough.
As he dodged, he decided to go back to his old modus operandi; dispelling his weapon, he began to toss Banish spells at Larxene in a blur of motion, the light-speed attacks possibly matching her own speed (how fast they flew, not how fast he cast them).
The Dragoon Nobodies all perished in the single swing of Auron's blade; however, two more immediately appeared behind Dawn, attempting to stab at her back and interrupt her Heathen's Frolic.
As both Sora and Prote attempted to strike at the Whirlwind Lancer, he let out a deep laugh; his four remaining spears began to spin rapidly at his sides, and a powerful gust of wind erupted around him, sending the two attackers back (and simultaneously deflecting the seeds).
"You just don't get it, do you?" he asked, smirking as he walked over to Sora, who had struck the mast and fallen to his knees for a moment; he held a single spear in his right hand, and two in his left as he towered over the Keybearer. "I am a god. You slayed me once, and yet here I stand. You cannot defeat me!"
As the fight raged on, there was a strange increase in Darkness for a matter of seconds. Though it was detectable by those sensitive to the Darkness, such as James, it could have easily just been the appearance of more Heartless, as it vanished moments later...

[Alan :: Angel Grove :: Outside the Church]
Alan edged backwards, drawing closer to the border of the gravity field. There was a lot going on, but the only thing Alan could afford to focus on right now was the Esper. As Terra threw spells around in the period between being repelled and charging in again, Alan prepared one of his own. He made a motion with his free right hand as if tossing a ball to himself. Suddenly, a thousand motes of white fire filled the palm of his hand, like unpacked snow. "Astral Firaga!"
Alan tossed the motes into the sky, where they appeared, for just a split second, to be stars. Then, as they reached the apex of their trajectory, they transformed into uncountable miniaturized fireballs, hailing downward and in the general direction of Terra. Terra would find herself charging straight into a miniaturized meteor swarm.
So that's Solar and Astral . . . I wonder what Lunar Firaga should look like?

[Joe: Caribbean Sea: Black Pearl]
Joe was thankful his card form ended as Luxord attacked. No, really, he was. Because that allowed him to jump up and over the card, coming at Luxord from above with a large axe kick, his foot making a large crescent in the air from the way he jumped forward, then twisted, bringing his feet up behind him and over, turning in the air and aiming the feet at Luxord's head.
Heck, if he was lucky and it hit, he might get a chance to inflict addle on the gambler.

[Quistis :: Caribbean Sea :: Black Pearl]
The spears grazed the blue mage, drawing blood from her left hip and her right shoulder. Quistis couldn't help but curse, the pain sucked and the enemies were definitely not weaklings. With ideas running through her head, Quistis immediately picked one of the spells in her repertoire, releasing sonic waves aiming for Luxord and Xaldin.
She wasn't going to go down that easy. She still had to find him.
[Nick :: Angel Grove :: City Streets]
The blonde cursed under his breath as his bullets were deflected, but blinked as Yuffie and the one-eyed knight appeared along with Axel. He frowned, then slapped himself on the forehead.
Wow, really? I forgot this part of the movie? I must be an idiot or something. Ooze can control people...Futher mucker. Seriously. Wait...why is she coming towar-...Oh my.
Nick looked up from his train of thought to notice Beatrix heading towards him, sword-a-glowin' dark. He immediately got up, backing away as safely as he could and opened fire on Beatrix.

[Terra : Angel Grove : City]
Though Terra was able to jump out of the range of Bobbi's ice balls that were thrown at her, she was unable to avoid getting hit by one of Dani's chakrams on her left side. The Battle Mage, feeling the charge of magic covered her head with her hands as white fire came down around her.
After the spell finished raining down, and the smoke started to clear, Terra emerged, flying in the direction of Dani. Terra had her left hand stretched out at the assassin. In the palm of Terra's hand, she charged a large fire spell. As she got closer, Terra unleashed the fire ball on Dani. The spell was quickly followed by a long slash.

{Kyle : Angel Grove: City}
While Beatrix blocked their combined attacks, she didn't counter-attack yet, which surprised him. Considering the speed with which she blocked them, he figured that he would be sent flying again. But he wasn't. Thinking about attacking again, he stopped when he saw her engulfed in Darkness. That couldn't be good. It never was. Time to move. With that complex thought in mind, Kyle weighed his options. He could attempt to run. Or he could dodge.
Deciding dodging to be the best choice of action, Kyle immediately collapsed onto his back, barely avoiding the wave of Darkness. And then they were all gone again. Even as he got up, he was trying to keep everyone's positions in his mind. There was the new girl with the bow, obviously an ice user, getting attacked by Axel. Kyla was getting attacked by Yuffie. And Nick was getting attacked by Beatrix. Nick could probably handle himself. Alan was doing fine...probably. Dani was doing ok as well. If Amy helped Kyla, he could help...the ice girl who he presumed was Bobbi.
Deciding to help said ice user, he sped towards Axel, his speed increasing greatly due to Seymour's spell. "Amy! Cover Kyla!" He shouted out, striking at Axel with a barrage of thrusts, trying to push him away from Bobbi.

[Carribean Sea ~ The Black Pearl]
Noelle scowled as her seeds were so easily knocked back by Xaldin's wind attack. She hated having such little effect on the battle. Being out at sea was not her thing. The small blonde summoned her spear and pulled back to throw it when James asked her for a seed. She paused, shooting him a puzzled glance, before pulling out a single seed and pressing it into his palm.
"What are you up to?" She asked, not really expecting any sort of reply.
Prote slid back on his feet as he was pushed by Xaldin's counter. As soon as he was able, he immediately went back to attack again, charging across the deck towards their adversary. He could see Noelle resume her spear throw from the corner of his eye, knowing to avoid its trajectory. The Geist held his bladed arm up in front of him like a lance. All he needed was the slightest contact with the nobody to drain a little bit of his memory so he would be stunned long enough for some damage to be done.

Sousei Tatsu [Cory .:. Angel Grove .:. Outskirts]
"Let's party!" The Revblade flew through the air, shredding through a few Shadows as Cory charged in behind it, his arms and legs blazing with Indomitable Will. He punched the first Heartless that made the mistake of lunging at him, sending it flying as it dissipated in the air, colliding with a few more Shadows before vanishing completely. He brought the same arm back, driving his elbow into another lunging Heartless with the same result as the punch. "That all you got?!" The Azure Ranger exploded into the air, the force of his jump kicking back dust as he began spinning like a buzzsaw, the Will focusing in his right leg. He came crashing down on a Shadow, crushing it and the earth beneath him as the Will was release in a weak shockwave, pushing back the rest of the Shadows.
He turned on his heel and charged another Heartless, resummoning the Revblade and separating its top half from its bottom before kicking the top half away. He turned and grabbed another lunging Shadow by its face, his hand covered in the Will as he Resolved his knee. With a single movement, he brought his leg up and the Heartless down, smashing it on his knee and destroying it. "This is nothing to me anymore! Bring something-" He suddenly burst from sight, a white glint of light passing through all of the Shadows before he came back into view. He turned to see all of the Heartless vanish before adding, "A little bigger than a dog."
The ground suddenly shifted as the rogue said this, prompting him to turn to see where the tremor had come from. Cory couldn't help but grin, turning off his Resolve as he rested the Revblade on his shoulder. "Infernal Machine, huh? When I said bigger than a dog, I didn't mean as big as a 7-11. Good thing I already played Days, though, otherwise I might be a bit confused as to how I should go about beating your a**!" He fell into stance, Indomitable Will spreading over the Revblade as he said, "This might take a bit longer than those Shadows. Damn Heartless, I'm trying to play mechanic here!" [Cloud : Angel Grove : Outskirts]
It was a stray one, a small Shadow, that came after Cloud. The thing had gotten far enough away from the main group to notice him; one swipe, hardly a thought, had the thing dissipating into smoke.
Heartless don't care who you are, so long as you have a heart, but the majority of them were attacking the rogue like a moth to the flame. Some areas re-spawned Heartless continually; was this such a place?
I should head back. The sound of that explosion still rung clearly to him. His curiosity was satisfied. He should go.
But he didn't. Instead he moved closer, drawing the attention of the lesser heartless immediately. Before the Infernal Machine could notice him, Cloud had executed a Sonic Rave, dashing through and coming to a stop in the midst of this chaos. He had no expression, his face a perfect mask, and he offered no explanation; Cory was right next to him.

Oh ho ho! If it isn't my childhood hero to the rescue! Cory couldn't help but smile with Cloud at his side. Even though the Heartless before them had demanded their immediate attention, he couldn't take his eyes off of Cloud. After all, VII was his first Final Fantasy- of course the Buster Swordsman would have a special place in the rogue's heart.
After ogling the protagonist of VII for a few moments, he turned his attention to the Infernal Machine. He rested the Revblade on his shoulder and fell out of stance, a hand in his pocket as he stared down the Heartless before him like it was an elementary school kid picking a fight with him. "What, nothing to say? You've been working with the losers until now, right? What's with the sudden aid? I could have probably taken this thing on alone, in case you were ignorant to my mad skills. Not that I'm ungrateful for your help... Doesn't detract from your silence and sudden willingness to aid your known enemy."

[Cloud : Outskirts]
Him, too? The look. They all had it, all of the Earthlings, rogue included it would seem. They looked at him like an old friend, someone they were familiar with on a larger scale than just recognition. Having experienced it from all of the others (with few exceptions), Cloud was used to it by now.
Cloud squared himself with Cory, not shying from eye contact, and likewise ignoring the Heartless before them– a Heartless that was almost certainly powering up, if not ready to attack.
"I recognized something," Cloud said cryptically. By itself, it explained almost nothing, and could mean anything. He ignored the assumptions.

[Cory .:. Angel Grove .:. Outskirts]
"Recognized something, huh? Whatever then, Mr. Cryptic Metaphor, keep your little secrets and whatnot to yourself." The Indomitable Will seemed to exploded around Cory, resolving his entire body as Cataclysmic energy gathered around the Revblade. He couldn't help but smile like an idiot, the thought of fighting alongside Cloud covering his arms in goosebumps. "Well, let's have at it."
The ronin bolted forward, the arrows from the Heartless atop the machine raining down around him. He weaved around the fall shafts, knowing that each one would mean death if he was struck in the right spot. Cory closed the distance in no time, leaping up to be level with the archers atop the machine. He pulled back on the Revblade, revving its engine as the Ruination finished charging. "Mark Two!" Concussive force exploded from Cory's swing, propelling the archers from the top of the Infernal Machine as well as tipping the machine itself slightly backward (though it fell right back into position).
The ronin was gone again, however, reappearing in the still soaring paths of the archers. He cut them all in half as they passed by, grinned and focusing now on the unprotected backside of the enormous Heartless. "Too easy!" The ronin moved in again, confident in his abilities all the way up until he came to a sudden stop.
[There she stood. The girl. That girl. The one who plagued his mind with sorrow and longing, the girl who had left him all alone in a world unfit for a healthy mind. She simply stood there, smiling at him as if to say something. With every breath she took, it looked as though she was going to speak, though she never did. Not even a single syllable.]
"What... What are you doing here?" Cory took a step back, unaware of the Shadows slowly creeping in from behind. He dropped the Revblade, now completely unaware of what he had been doing and now only focused on what he could see before him. He frantically reached up with his left hand, placing over his left eye as though it would make everything the way it was before. "Why won't you go away?..."
~
[The girl made a move, stepping slowly towards the ronin.]
"Get back... Get away from me! Don't touch me! I don't want your pity! I don't want your help!" the Indomitable Will began to dim around the rogue's body, the blue vanishing completely from the flames to leave only a sickly, black fire. It burned like ink, as though taken from a sumi-e illustration and made real. Closer the Shadows moved towards Cory, their presence undetected by the mad samurai.
~
[She was now too close.]
"I SAID GET AWAY!" Cory's arm became engulfed in black fire and he punched forward.
[The image of the girl was suddenly cracked, her smile fading as she stared through teary eyes at the rogue. Each shattered piece seemed to fall away to dust, until finally there was nothing left of her.]
~
There was no reaching the rogue now. He clutched at his eye, as though trying to tear it and the skull around it from his face. His breathing became ragged as he tried to contain his rage, his fury rising from what he just did. The blackened Indomitable Will began to burn brightly again, the azure flames now clearly visible inside the dark fire as each breath became a low growl. "I hate this... I hate it so much... Why am I.... Why am I the only one who goes through this?!" The ronin turned as the Shadows lunged, an almost defeated look in his eye...
The Shadows were struck down in a single instant by a number of kunai as the samurai fell from a summoning circle above Cory, having summoned himself to save his host. "Take a rest, Cory..." The samurai turned to face the Infernal Machine's blindside as Cory fell to his knees, as though unable to perceive the world around him as he clutched his head. "You have fought too much already." The samurai summoned his katana, Zanmato, before falling into a traditional Bushido stance. "Cloud Strife! My master, Cory, seems to be unable to fight! You will be fighting alongside myself on this day!"
With that, the samurai rushed forward, throwing a hail of kunai at the machine before striking at its wheels with Zanmato. The katana seemed to stop halfway through the swing, the density of the Heartless actually surprising the samurai for a moment. Of course, that's right... My power is only proportionate to how much magical power Cory has... The samurai kicked back, throwing another barrage of kunai before sliding to a stop a safe distance away from the machine. This fight will have to depend on Cloud's abilities. It is fortunate that he arrived when he did.
