The cab pulled up to the front of the building. It didn't look like much, but Arell double-checked the card.
"Y'sho dis here's de place, che'?" the Cajun asked Antigua.
"Pretty sho', mon. Dat'd be $25 for da trip, mon." the Jamaican said as Arell handed over the money.
"Thanks fer de ride, Antigua. I'll catcha later." the Cajun said as he hopped out of the car. The Chevy did a burnout and sped off back to Gotham, but Arell didn't go quite inside yet. These "East Coast Avengers" seemed like a mighty busy crowd. He contemplated it, but then just decided to go up to the door and knock. Under the cape and the mask, they're just like the rest of us, right? he thought as he knocked on the door.

//Wolverine noted the two other scents were right along Victor's -- one of which is doused in perfume. This trail leads straight to a goth club.
For a little while, I run Jarvis and maybe a couple of Avengers at the Mansion, as needed as NPCs.//
A thin balding man wearing a neat black suit opens the door for Arell, "Can I help you, Sir?"

Arell looked at the thin looking fellow. "Hi, mister. You wouldn't happen t' know if de East Coast Avengers would be in, wouldja? There's someone runnin' amok in Gotham an' we could use all the help we can get." the young Cajun said.

Arell took off his hat. "Thank ya kindly, sir." he said, making sure to remember his manners as he walked into the study.

After a few minutes of waiting, Arell see Vision literally phase through the wall. The Avenger spoke neutrally, "You requested to speak with us. How can we help?"

Arell smiled in amazement at how someone phased through a wall like a ghost.
"Well, dere's a real bad madamouselle dat's runnin' amok in Gotham city. Does the name 'Lady Deathstrike' ring a bell or two?" the Cajun asked, working to speak a little clearer.

Vision listened impassively to Arell, "I have heard of Lady Deathstrike. Typically, she has been a primary enemy of the X-Men, especially Wolverine."

Arell was surprised that Vision heard about Lady Deathstrike. "Well, I don't think it's Wolverine she's after today. Over in Gotham, she done sliced up a couple folks worse dan' anythin'. I ain't one to be askin' for help, but I think she's goan' t' wind up on a killin' spree, and we could sho' use all de help we can find." the Cajun said. He wasn't about to be made into Gator bites by some psycho.

"Well? I'm waiting for an answer." Star said with a huff. "Why was the man trying to kill you?"
"I just told you. I worked on a project with him, and he's probably mad because he didn't get full credit for his work in the end." the man spat back.
Star stared at him for a moment, arching her dark brow at him. Finally she sighed and shook her head. "You know, sometimes people think their high up on the totem poll...so even if they do something offensive, they don't actually believe they did." she said, letting her telepathy start to flow out a bit. She wasn't going to get much out of the man verbally anyway.
"So you might not think you did anything wrong Mr. Miles...." she continued, then trailed off as her eyes widened a bit. She paused a minute and stared at the man in silence. Then, slowly, here eyes narrowed in on him.
".....Warren? Well...naughty, naughty boy Mr. Warren." she spoke in a tone that was both chiding and knowing.

Firestar simply stood nearby and held her hand up about waist level -- producing two small balls of fire. Angelica then began moving them around each in the palm of her hand like Chinese stress balls.

The man didn't say anything once again. Just by the way she'd said that, he knew that she'd caught him. And since they both knew it, there wasn't really anything else to say on the matter.
Star stared at him for another beat, her eyes still narrowed in on him. "Well, MILES...can you think of any reason the doc would be after you? Maybe it was just misplaced jealousy. But really, who could be jealous of a guy named MILES? Maybe it was something else. No? Nothing comes to mind? Alright then." she said, then turned towards Firestar. "Alright, you're a hero type, right? What do we do next? I'm pretty new to the whole good guy thing."
