John sighed, standing up straight and crossing his arms.
Enki wasn't an idiot, no matter how much John goaded him. Despite his former comments, John knew that Enki was a formidable match when he started using his powers.
But then, so was John.
The thing about the two was that they didn't like using their powers. John didn't know Enki's reason, but John didn't like using them because...well...they were too powerful.
"Well...it's not like we can die in this place..." John muttered, static flashing briefly. Nothing major, just a small spark. "Its up to you."
This was a respect desicion. Again, against john's former comments, he had some respect for the man.
"Just make sure you want to do this." John said, his voice serious. "What you do now takes this to a whole other level. We both know that."

Tomorrow John sighed, standing up straight and crossing his arms. "Its up to you."This was a respect desicion. Again, against john's former comments, he had some respect for the man. "Just make sure you want to do this." John said, his voice serious. "What you do now takes this to a whole other level. We both know that."Enki brings his pole into one hand and in a very non-threatening and slow manner, he raises it up and very lightly taps the top of Johns head. "Ya, it could be kinda cataclysmic or something if we both use our powers... so then..." Enki pulls the pole back and slips his left hand into one of his pockets and fiddles around in it for a quick moment. Seconds later a small stream of water flows up his right hand onto the pole turning into about 10 small versions of John doing the Can-Can upon the wooden staff. "You're right that it's not like we can die... but are you sure we want to do this...?"

John smirked as Enki tapped his forehead.
The static was beginning to get larger now. Flashing from somewhere within his body, it curled around him, lacing over his arms and hands as he pulled them from their fold. "Well..." John muttered, absently scratching the palm of his hand. "...I'm not here for my health."
The static grew larger as he scratched the palm of his hand before scratching the back of his neck. "But then...wouldn't it be too easy then? Why not just keep it up with the pole for a bit, see how long you can last?"

Enki brings the pole around and points it at his pocket where the can-can dancing Johns can-can their way into his pocket and disappear. He brings the pole back up and rests it against his shoulder, sighing a bit.
"Alright. You ever try to hit a white oak pole against a brick wall? The staff doesn't break, but it doesn't really do much to the WALL either."
With that, Enki lunges at Tomorrow quickly. At the last minute he moves to the left and keeps running, stabbing the pole downards to his right between Johns feet, quickly stopping and putting all his weight to use it as a lever to know the block off of his feet.

John yawned, scratching the other hand as he let Enki do what he liked.
Although it had been a while since John weighed himself - he kept breaking the damn scales Amber bought. 'for the generous metahuman' my a** - it was said he weighed in at around half a ton...or 500-600 pounds, it didn't really matter.
The fact was, as soon as Enki's staff went between John's legs and kept running with it, it would be like sticking a staff against a brick wall - only into a little crevice, where the pole would get stuck, and you'd have the wind knocked out of you as you put all your momentum into the attack and be sprung back like a kid being whacked in the guts with a broom handle...

That's about what happened, only instead of the gut whacking, he was just flung back... a lot. Much like getting piffed, but he did it all himself. Enki lands on his a** on the ground and quickly flips back up, looking at John.
"See? What if we use our powers conservatively... just to spice things up, hmm?"

John sighed again. "Alrighty then, you asked for it. Briste av Lyset."
And he lifted his hand as he finished speaking the last words, his hand open, as if to give Enki something.
As soon as he finished talking, a brilliant beam of light shone out of his outstretched palm, engulfing Enki in white light - and blinding him. The Burst of Light was a light attack that was just that - a brilliant burst of light that shone as hard as a baseball stadium's floodlights - only right in your face, concentrated, for about five seconds.
It was a new attack that had taken John a fair while to master. He was known for his lightening elementals, not for his magicks - which were few and far between.
Even Maximos wouldn't have seen that one coming.
Enki's blindness would last for about thirty seconds. Plenty of time for John to close the gap between them, grasp that blue-haired head of his, and slam it into the floor with enough force to shatter whatever stone the ground was made of.

Enki still has his sunglasses on which dulls the shine a bit... but not nearly enough. It still ******** hurt and he saw pretty white things everywhere now.
"That was not conservative!" he yells as his eyes shine a bright blue and water flings out of ever pocket Enki has, which is a lot of them. about 10, sharp daggers of ice form in front of the water elemental and orbit around him as a disk of water forms under his feet and fling him backwards. Usually, this is a good idea. This time, not so much. True, Enki got out of the way, but he really has no way of judging hos far the ground is from him. He braces for an impact and finally hits the ground, losing balance a little bit.

There would be no sound at all - before he would feel a massive crushing weight slamming into him, landing on him with such a force to turn his body into a pulpy mess - or drive him into the ground some.
John did what he normally did when this kinda stuff happens - he put his weight into it.
Jumping as Enki landed hard, he'd sailed effortlessly through the air - to put all 500lbs into his landing, placing his legs somewhere...on Enki's back, stabbing his boots into his back and forcing him down, into the hard earth beneath them.
"Sorry bout that. The magic's a little harsh." John said as he pushed himself out of the crater he'd just made, dust and rubble still falling to earth as he landed beside it to look down at Enki. "But i guess you're right...maybe if i work on it i could turn it into a nightlight or something..."

Enki regained his balance, but something was wrong. In all honesty, the sound of 500-600lbs ((That's 226-272kg for the Aussies reading this)) flying through the air is kind of unmistakable. Enki doesn't even have time do think as he lunges backwards again, landing balanced this time. He can kinda see now, which was a big help. The spinning daggers form into a very large spiked ice WALL in front of him. The wall slams forward toward John at about the speed of... well... HIM as the disk of water he was using hardens to a blade of spinning ice above him.

John had to say, Enki had real good hearing. Even after getting a shock like that and throwing himself back, he was still able to hear John's jump. Good show.
Flying towards the shards of ice, John crossed his arms around his face and torso, closing his legs tight - as he flew straight into them, shattering many, some lodging themselves into his skin as he span around, landing on the balls of his feet, his left hand coming out to balance himself - as he suddenly leapt forward, his right fist outstretched to be thrown forward with a ice-spiked punch that could quite possibly tear enki's head off.
too bad john was aiming for the chest.

Enki could now kinda see a little better. By "a little better" instead of seeing pretty white shapes, he now saw a very LARGE thing coming straight at him. He quickly tries to lung off to the right but with now a whole lot of success. The fist slams hard into Enki's left arm. That arm pops out of his socket and the force of Enki being kind-of in the air and the fist slamming into him cause his entire body to lurch in a semi-circle, now facing Tomorrow. The spinning disk quickly wraps around the end of his pole and hardens as Enki slashes downwards as hard as he can toward the big blurry thing, knowing he isn't going to get another chance at this.

But if John was coming at him...and Enki turned to face him, and tried to swing his pole down...
...Then the length of the pole would hit John's rather broad shoulders as he wrapped his arms around Enki and slammed him into the ground in a tackle that would make the ground tremble. If the disc was at the end of the pole, it would've missed John by a mile.
Now straddling Enki, shifting his weight to keep his knees pinning Enki's arms down, John sat up, one hand gripping the Leviathan's shirt and pulling his head up a little, the other pulled back, fist clenched tight.
But John paused.
As if waiting for Enki to do something. Shoot lazers from his eyes, curse and swear, beg pitifully. Anything.

Enki sure as hell has something to say about this. Cough. Enki has a lot of waist sitting on his chest right now and it's really hard to breath. So he coughs. There's a tiny speck of blood in there too. He opens his eyes and looks up at John. There is no fear in his eyes. He knows he can't die. But there is a slight amount of disappointment. That's the thing about Enki. There's ALWAYS hope in his eyes, even if he think he won't win.
"See? Told you I'd never beat you in a physical fight."

"You did, didn't you." John said quietly, lowering his hand and placing Enki gently back onto the ground.
Standing up he squatted down over Enki's crushed body, shaking his head and sighing.
Enki was totally right. At the end of the day, there was one thing that John had been afraid of the entire fight - Enki's power. Given the chance, if Enki had risen to his full power, the chances of him winning would've most likely gone up considerably.
"Thanks for the oppertunity, Enki." John said, tapping Enki's forehead back. "We'll have a rematch one day."
And with that, he stood and walked away. Part of him didn't want to leave because he'd lose his left arm - on the other hand, having icicles stuck in your forearms and legs didn't feel good against the nerves.
Win some lose some. John faded from the Void as easily as mist fades in the morning sunlight.
